So I know most of these "firming" products are just a lot of hype, but I figured I'd try one out anyway. The Suave Firming Lotion was less than $5 (for 18 ounces!) at my local Walmart and contains Seaweed extract, which is supposed to be good for healthy and firm skin. It smells okay (typical Suave lotion smell) and the texture is absolutely perfect--not greasy at all, but definitely moisturizing. And I was pleasantly surprised at the firming abilities from such a cheap product! It's not a miracle worker, by any means, and the effects certainly aren't permanent, but I can definitely see noticeable tightening of my thighs and arms when I use this after my shower. I really, really like it! I think it would be perfect for anyone who just needs a little extra firmness to their skin (like, say, before a trip to the beach or when you're wearing a short skirt). For the price, you really can't go wrong. This will certainly be a summer staple for me next year.

The scent is nice & makes my skin soft but I didn't notice any cellulite reducing effects and that's due to the fact that it doesn't contain any collagen or elastin. It's a good overall body lotion but definitely not a cellulite reducer. If you want soft skin with a toning effect, get St. Ives Collagen Elastin Renewing body lotion...amazing stuff & just as affordable! :)

Again, I am very impressed with a cheapo depot Suave product. You do not have to spend a fortune for results. After my favorite cellulite treatment got DC'd I decided to try this after readying results on the board. I also picked one up for dear old Mom. At 56, she has lost tons of weight but has the saggy skin. We both tried it. Mom even tried it on her face. Low and behold - we both found that it tightened things up. Its no miracle in a bottle - I still have dimples and Mom still has bat wings but our skin did look tauter. For $2.50 a bottle how can you go wrong. I find that using it the night before a dreaded trip to the pool or beach with my kids my thighs don't seem nearly as dimply as before. This is no Cellusculpt ( where inches were trimmed off) but it does a decent job for what it is. Mom also says it smooths out her forehead wrinkles and crows feet - move over Oil of Olay!

I am not sure if this actually firms or not. However, it does make my skin very smooth. It's dirt cheap and the scent is very light and fades away quickly. It works well for me as a daily lotion, and maybe it will have some cumulative effect on my cellulite. The price is so great and the lotion pleasant, so I will keep on buying.

I really like this lotion. I bought it thinking that it would really firm my cellulite. I can't really tell though. My upper arms seem * a little bit* less jiggly. But I can't tell on my thighs.

I put it on every morning when I'm getting ready for work. It goes right into my skin and makes it really soft. It also smells nice. The best thing about it is that it's pretty cheap for a big bottle.

I will buy it again, but not because I think it's going to suddenly make my cellulite go away.

I'm going to have to be the dissenter here--nothing terribly wrong with this product, but like all the Suave moisturizers I've tried it was thin, didn't absorb quickly, and left me feeling dry and itchy by the end of the day. It does seem to firm somewhat, but I expected more after the reviews here. I'll stick with Jergens or Vaseline.

Edit: I tried it again, sucked in by the price, and I like it better this time...I have no idea whether the formula changed or I did, but I added a couple of lippies. =D

This was a good product for the price. I didn't notice a big change in my cellulite, but maybe it's just really bad. lol. I found it kind of hard to rub in. The smell was ok. For less than $6.00, it's nice but I like Nivea firming with Advanced Co-enzyme Q10 much better.

Well, it doesn't firm. I bought it based on reviews and I think the Dove firming lotion I was using before actually firmed (or made me think it did) more than Suave, which made no noticeable difference for me. Another thing I dislike is that the pump bottle is too big to fit in my bathroom cabinet, although maybe there is a smaller size that I just didn't find. However, I would buy it again because it's freaking cheaper than dirt, there is a ton of product for practically no cost, and it's a nice light, whipped airy feeling lotion that sinks in really quickly and moisturizes really well for being so thin.

Wow! This stuff really does firm! After a week of using this after every shower, my thighs are so much firmer! Pretty cool from a bottle that cost $3 at Wal-Mart. It has helped a little bit with my stomach as well, but it's not as noticable as it was with my thighs. I don't think this is a great moisturizer though. It's good but not great, so I usually use a thicker lotion afterwards. I'll keep buying this for the firming though, for sure.

LOVE this lotion. It makes my skin ridiculously soft. Doesn't do anything for cellulite or firming, but I love the scent, price, and how quickly it sinks in. Gave it a 4 for packaging because I hate pump bottles. But otherwise this is one of the best, cheapest lotions out there. Past lotions I've loved: Curel, Aveeno. But this one tops both as it somehow moisturizes without being greasy, it really sinks right in.

I went out on a hunt for this lotion after I read the rave reviews on this site. After two weeks of using this...i really can't see what all the fuss is about. I'm a skinny girl but I've had cellulite on the back of my butt/upper thighs since my early teens. Soooo sad lol. I think it's inherited. Anyways, after reading the reviews, I got really excited imagining the cellulite magically melting from my body...but I think I set the bar a little too high for this stuff. I don't really notice any difference with firming...at all. The only thing it does is make my skin softer, which is nice, but I think most moisturizes can accomplish the same thing. Also, I really think the scent is kind of unpleasant...I prefer more "edible" scents for my skin. Oh well, at least it was cheap!

This stuff seems to really work. A couple of days after buying it, my husband felt my leg and he said, "Your leg feels different. It feels firmer." He didn't realize I'd been using the lotion. I thought my skin felt different but it was nice that he could tell the difference. I've gone through about half a bottle now and I went out and bought another because I don't want to run out. I will update when it has been longer. So far, I love it!

It works, its cheap, why not try it? I searched MUA for firming and this was the highest rated body lotion. I spiked mine with a little sunless tanner and sunblock and its the ultimate lotion. It has firmed up my abs and I am slim but have this one freak tiny patch of cellulite on my upper arm that is almost gone...I really can't believe it. I liked this so much I have started using Suave shampoo and conditioner...it really is as good as anything else I have used. Go Suave! I buy some high end products (foundation, blush, bronzer, eye cream) but there is no need to go high end here.

UPDATE: I just realized Suave and its parent company test on animals....I can't recommend this product.

The bottom line is - this stuff works. That is, if you don't need much help to begin with. I would recommend this to anyone who has minimal jiggle/cellulite on their thighs. You can definitely feel that the area is firmer after the lotion is applied. I don't know how useful it is for anyone with more jiggle/cellulite though so I wouldn't want to recommend it as a miracle product.

I like this lotion...I never used to use lotion b/c I hated my skin feeling like it was "coated," but I realize that I need moisturizer during the winter months especially. This lotion smells good, absorbs easily, and makes my skin feel soft. Plus, it's cheap.

I love the smell of this lotion! It smells wonderful, and absorbs very quickly. I'm not sure about the firming effects, but I can say that my skin definitely looks much healthier after I apply this lotion. I try to apply it twice a day (after I'm out of the shower, and before I go to bed if I have time).

I bought this at Wal Mart for $3 (in a huge bottle), and will definitely re-purchase. Love it!

I was in the market for a good firming lotion and noticed the high reviews here. Never would've thought to try it, but went for it because of its high marks. I'm not disappointed! This isn't a miracle product but it does firm. I know everyone's wondering about that feature. I figured I'd give it a few weeks to see what it did before reporting. I first noticed firming on my neck, and it does work as a nice facial moisturizer...no breakouts, absorbs pretty quickly, not greasy, nice feel. I tried applying it to other trouble spots, such as the cellulite areas on the back of my thighs, stretch marks around the hips, and belly flab. I didn't notice anything right away, but if I put it on before I go to bed cellulite appears less noticeable when I get up. It seems to keep up with the firming if I apply it twice a day. I've noticed that if I don't use it, the cellulite is more noticeable. Which makes me believe at least right now--that firming is temporary, until long term effects of use kick in, which I hope they do. It has smoothed out the appearance of my stretch marks slightly, but it hasn't done much for those. This does have a waxy feeling to it, even after it absorbs, which sort of "fools" me into thinking skin feels firmer. So, no superior tightening yet, no magical melting of flaws, but it does firm a bit overall, so for the price I think it's definitely worth getting. *EDIT* After six months of constant use, I've seen no permanent firming. The bottle does not claim to magically make stretchmarks and cellulite disappear, and it does not. I am convinced that the firming is temporary. This lotion creates a waxy, tight coating on the skin (very naturally..not fakey feeling) that makes the skin itself feel firmer, and it washes away when you shower. I have noticed that stretchmarks on my thighs have smoothed and are not as raised as they used to be; this is the only product I've been using so I can attribute it to this. It does have lactic acid in it, which may exfoliate somewhat and smooth the skin, but I see no magic results or improvements. But if you don't mind buying it constantly, it's a nice product to have.

I am so glad I listened to you gals. I picked up some of this today and I must say, its smells unbelivable. Just devine. Its very moisturizing and absorbs quickly. I had used jergens firming for awhile, but got tired of having to stand in front of the fan cause it takes ages to absorb. Sooo glad I can not use this instead. Cant believe what I had been missing out on as far as not having to wait so long for lotion to absorb. This sinks right in. Love love love it. This is gonna be my HG lotion. I'll update later as far as the firming. Thanks again gorgeous ladies!
