Oh how I wish they still had all the other liquidlast liners besides black! I loved these back then and I still do but I've been experimenting with other liners but I recently got this one. The liner looks goopy when you first pull the brush out but I usually take a little off the brush before I apply it otherwise you'll have a huge line that you'll have to even out. This is long lasting and it's usually when I wing it out that the outer corner of my eyes the liquid liner flakes a little bit there but that's about it. Doesnt irritate my eyes or anything. Also one dip into the little bottle is good enough for one eye.

PROS: I have very oily eyelids and nothing works on my lower lids except this product!!! IT DOES NOT COME OFF unless you remove it with makeup remover and scrub it off! Sometimes I dont even remove it and keep it on for 2 days in a row. I will wash my face but the eyeliner will stay for another day. I give it 5/5 for staying power.
CONS: Very messy! It has a thick sticky texture and gets all over my eyelashes when I apply it. I have to have a q-tip ready to wipe off the excess or else it will smudge when I blink and stay smudged all over my eye until I fix it with remover.
It is also hard to remove so I only use it for when I am going out at night or am expecting to take photos. I need to use an oil based remover and scrub it off with a q-tip which makes my eyelids sore.
Overall: I would definitely recommend this product!

I have such a love/hate relationship with this eyeliner.
Pros:
+It's the only eyeliner I've found so far that stays on my super oily eyelids.
+Very black
+Doesn't come off at all unless you use makeup remover.
Cons:
-Incredibly messy! I find the formula quite watery sometimes and so it just drips onto your skin if you're not careful. Then, because it's so long lasting, it's really hard to get off if you make a mistake.
To sum it up, if you're in a hurry, this eyeliner is not your best friend. But with time and patience, the eyeliner is awesome. I will probably continue to use this and buy this in the summer months at least when my skin is super oily. If I can find another eyeliner that is as long lasting as this but isn't messy, I will be over the moon.

I have to say that if you're looking for a liquid liner that lasts no matter what...This is the product to get. It does not smudge and is extremely waterproof! It will only come off with a good makeup remover. The texture is quite thick and it gets easily onto eyelashes which will make them clumpy. The brush however is very easy to use. Would buy this again!

My one and only HG, staple eyeliner. I tried numerous other "waterproof" eyeliners, but none of them are truly waterproof, except this one! I draw winged eye line for that cat eye look everyday. This doesn't budge swimming in the ocean, or even in shower. Removing is a breeze using any oil based make up remover. I use Take the day off by Clinique, which works wonderfully.
------------------EDIT after 3 years of using it everyday ---------------------
Found a better, cheaper, and possibly safer alternative. MILANI's infinite liquid liner. MILANI's does not flake off like this one does, is paraben free unlike this one. It is also cheaper. Definitely check that one out, if you're a fan of liquidlast.

I always wear liquid liners and I have found MAC liquid last to be the best waterproof, cry proof, sweatproof, liquid liner out there. Yes they can be goopy when you take them out - but that's due to the formula which makes it last so long. Touch the tip of the brush to the rim of the container to take off the excess..And make sure you let it dry by keeping your eyes closed or looking down..( I fan myself to help it dry faster) I love the way they last all day into the evening.. I bartend part-time and this liner has lasted me all night long.. I have this in all the colors.. Definitely would recommend this!

This eyeliner is alarmingly hard to take off. I tried many types of waterproof makeup removers, and it didn't even BEGIN to come off. I only tried this on my hand, but I had to rub so hard it's still red after a day had passed. I would be terrified of taking this off my eyes.
The colour, however, is very pigmented and vibrant. It has a nice selection of colours, but really, for the price and effort/pain to take it off seems unreasonable.

always on the look out for an ultimate budge proof eyeliner. after some hit and misses, i realise it is not enough for a product to be 'water proof' because it is the sebum secretions from the skin that breaks down all makeup. i applied this on the back of the hand and tried to remove with 1) regular micelle solution/cream cleanser 2) pure cream cleanser 3)cleansing oil.. literally did not budget. however, once you gently scratch it all comes off easily.
the formula is dense enough that you can shape the terrible crude brush into a flat-ish angle tip to apply an average line. i don't try to go for a fine waterline, just a medium thick tightline.
after approximately 4-5 hours, the product from the top lashline had mostly transferred onto the bottom. i have heavy eyelids, so therefore it is a heavy duty test for this product... also in a moderately humid atmosphere, along with drinking etc (which all stimulates sweat/sebum production) this did not fare well.
i actually have better results with the chanel cake liner mixed with the duwop solution! plus application using that is far more precise. not an HG. good for normal day wear, not for extreme conditions.

If you have been looking for an eyeliner that lasts and does not smudge, this is for you! If you have given up hope (like I had) this is most definately for you! (If you have large eyes, large, open lids, well then you can use pretty much anything you want canīt you?)
I have deepset, hooded eyes, pretty and blue, but problematic as the lid is very small. All liners fade or worse, transfer onto my upper eye area, below the brow, as a crescent.
Well this does not!
APPLY CAREFULLY - this IS waterproof, smudgeproof, sweatproof, oilproof, etc....LET IT SET for 30 seconds, keep looking downwards if you have heavy upper area!
If you get this stuff in the wrong place, you have to be quick. Take some time to apply it, and you will be HAPPY!
Once it is set - no worries. It will last and look beautiful, no matter what you do!
I love this stuff more than any makeup product in the world. Love, love, love!
Please Mac never ever discontinue this! I had given up all hope of getting to wear clean eyeliner line before I met LiquidLast!

If you're looking for something absolutely budgeproof, smudgeproof, waterproof, this is the only liner to buy.
I have oily, folded eyelids and nothing has ever stayed on me beyond 1-4 hours without smearing, fading or flaking. I have tried almost all the ones that get consistently good ratings on MUA: Bobbi Brown gel pots (smudged), Mac Fluidlines (horrible mess), Kate liner (smeared), Shiseido Liquid Eyeliner (perfect brush but racoon eyes), Stila Smudge Pots (not too bad - but not foolproof. By the end of the day there would still be some smudging), Chanel Stylo Yeux (convenient, but smudges) , Majolica Majorca Neo Automatic Eyeliner (smudged), Hourglass Liquid Eyeliner (flaked a lil), Wet n Wild Liquid Eyeliner (mess), Blinc Liquid Eyeliner (did not smudge, but flaked, leaving bits of eye lid showing through where the liner has flaked - arrgh), loads of L'oreal/Maybelline ones (all didn't work), Lancome Artliner (faded and smudged), weird Japanese brands that claim to be waterproof but are most certainly not (what's up with that???). I have tried kohls from every brand imaginable.
The only MUA-highly-rated ones I didn't bother trying are the ones I tested on my hand at the stores and got smeared/smudged when I rubbed it - Revlon Colorstay, Prestige Waterproof, Laura Mercier cake eyeliner.
The only thing that ever came close to HG was a little-known Kose Liquid eyeliner (only 2 reviews on MUA) that has since been discontinued. But even that would smudge slightly after 8 hours.
Before I used all these eyeliners, I would be very careful not to use greasy eyecreams on my eye area. I would only use eye gels, but still, to no avail. :(
Back to Liquidlast - this stuff does not budge, even after 12-24 hours. Its round-the-clock steadfastness holds up under all sorts of weather - if it can withstand 35 degree celcius and high humidity in my country, AND greasy eye cream, I'm pretty sure it will work anywhere in the world. You can take it swimming, to the clubs, be on a long flight, knowing it will not budge/fade/flake/smear/crumble. When I put this on, I KNOW this eyeliner will not let me down.
The brush is crap - it's thin, long, flimsy, and gets on my curly eyelashes. So, I use a Mac slanted eyebrow brush or the Stila double-ended eyeliner brush (depends on what sort of look I wanna achieve), dab it on the liquidlast brush, remove excess on tissue, and apply. Any mistakes that have dried after 30 seconds, I dip a cotton bud in a teeny bit of Lancome Bi-Facil eye remover and correct it, and continue. After all that, I swipe my brush on tissue soaked with the Mac brush cleaner pink liquid ( a bottle lasts FOREVER), and let it air-dry. The brush will be ready the next day for a new application.
The consistency is sort of thick and gloppy, and gets worse after a couple months - chuck it and buy a new one. Sometimes when it gets extra gloppy on my eyelids and I know it will take forever to dry, I dab a cotton bud on the lined bit of my eye to remove excess liner. Usually, the colour intensity is very strong, and doing this will not fade the liner.
To remove, only an oily or bi-phase cleaner would work. I find Lancome's Bi-Facil the best so far.
It's a hassle, but once you master the technique, and just live with the brushes and cleaning, I feel it's really worth it - esp when nothing else has worked for you. If you're the sort who doesn't have much of a problem with smudging, even with non-waterproof eyeliners, then I am envious. And maybe this is not for you. For newbies not familiar with liquid eyeliner and brushes, you need loads of practice!
Point Black is my staple, Inky and Dress Khaki are awesome. Electro Lady, for some reason or other, seems extra gloppy.
I have taken one point off for the silly brush and gloppiness, but the staying power more than makes up for all the extra trouble.
All these years, I have strayed, trying to find the perfect liquid eyeliner with an amazing pen-brush that is as waterproof as Liquidlast. (MAC, if you're reading this, please do something about the brush). But let me say, after 4 years of wasting money on all sorts of liners, I've seriously had it. I am resigned to the fact that only Liquidlast truly lasts!
I hope Mac never discontinues this, because if they do, I don't think I would bother with eyeliner anymore. I seriously hate constantly having to check the mirror worrying if I am looking like a panda bear, or having to swipe over the undereye to remove smudges that ironically wouldn't budge. I want to wear my makeup with full confidence, and not having to worry about it every other hour, or after sweaty nights at the club/crying episodes at the cinema/watery eyes from eczema and so on, so forth.
So yeah, defi HG status.
**update** have been loading up on the eye creams on the upper eyelid and realise it does slide if that area is super super oily. however, if i only apply eye cream below the eye, the liner won't budge on the upper lid. so go easy on the eye creams, ladies!

I loved the colour and the way it applied but god help you if you make a mistake!! it almost dries tooo fast because i applied it a little to thickly over one eye and when i opened my eye i got that little crescent in the crease that makes you look like a total amateur! Then i was scrubbing at it for ages with eye makeup remover and my eye was all red and I was cursing MAC...it was not pretty. At night when i went to take it off it was kind of hard to get off with the my L'Oreal eye makeup remover but by morning it was mostly wiped off on my pillow I guess. It looked nice but that one little experience kind of put me off, I'll stick with the bobbi brown long wear gel eyeliner. it lasts just as long but is a little bit easier to work with.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! I don't know what I would do without it. The perfect liner to draw that 40's liner with - and perfect for me who loves waterproof, non-smudging make-up! Great, great, great! I have been repurchasing this for years, and intend to do so for many more years to come!

Imagine trying to apply honey as an eyeliner. That's liquidlast, a gooey, sloppy, poor- quality liquid liner. The MAC colors are certainly pretty & the product lasts - but it's impossible to actually get it on your eyelid without feeling like you're painting with maple syrup.
Yuch.

love love love this stuff.
does not budge once you've got it on and its dried. you've got a bit of wiggle room before then, so you have to be careful when applying. I keep the eye closed until its dry.
Amazing colors. Totally waterproof. You do have to use a makeup remover to take it off, but why wouldn't you in the first place? Really fun to use. I'm building a collection I love them so much.

I don't know why this is getting bad reviews =/ I found it very long lasting & super easy to work with. I had never tried a liquid on before & it was super easy! I thought my line was going to be all bumpy haha, but it was perfectly straight. All you need is a light hand & presto! I LOVE this stuff!! If you have issues removing it try MAC makeup remover or my favorite-- Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover (the one you shake).

Aaaah! I could scream! I love many MAC products, but this one is NOT on the list! I have been using the Eye Kohl Blooz for years and was wanting something with a bit more staying power. I asked the Mac counter consultant and she suggested the Liquidlast Liner. I took it home and tried it for a few days.
1. Yes it had staying power but by the end of the day there were many flakes in my eyes.
2. Very hard to get off. Use their remover or similar one or your lashes will be falling out
3. The brush is so lame! Even when I returned it, the lady ( a different sales clerk) said it was the worst feature of the product - very flimsy and hard to get a strait line. Of course she suggested buying one of their brushes to apply. Nope! It's returned!
After researching MUA, I'm going to try MAC's gel liner.

Beautiful colours - very vibrant and a wide selection.
Only downside for me to this product is that it is incredibly difficult to get off! Takes a lot of rubbing with makeup remover in the eye area which is annoying. At least it never comes off whilst you're wearing though =]
