This is an average, decent, respectable lotion. It is not as thin as other lotions and takes some time to rub into the skin, but it provides good moisture throughout the day. I find the vanilla scent a little saccharine and too strong for my taste, but fragrances hardly ever stay on my skin and the scent remained on my shirt, so the smell is good, in this case.
The lotion came in a tube, which was easy to squeeze and get as much product as I wanted to, so I have no complaints about the packaging.
I used this lotion at a friend's house, so I'm not sure if it is cheap or expensive, but it currently appears to be affordable.
There are probably better lotions than this, but if I had no other alternative, I would end up using this cream.

Since I like warm, vanilla frosty scents, Vanilla Buttercream was just absolutely divine to me and cheap at Walmart, K-Mart & Navarro for $4.
I love the warm, sweet, non-nauseating scent right after I shower and the fact that is easily absorbed and not greasy. Also, the scent last a long time on me, which I love very much. However, I believe it is being discontinued, because I also saw at Big Lots yesterday.
Just my luck. I have the lotion pump version.

For those who like bakery scents, this lotion smells DIVINE in the tube. I could smell it all day...it's delicious. However, I have to agree with other posters who say the scent changes on the skin. It smells just plain buttery on my skin..which is ok...but not as delightful as the vanilla buttercream combo. The lotion itself moisturizes well, better than most fragranced lotions I've tried. The packaging is cute and the price quite cheap--$5. I wish they'd reformulate this product. It would be a hands down winner with a few minor tweaks! I won't repurchase bc of the scent change. Too bad.

I was really disappointed in this body cream. It smells absolutely FABULOUS out of the tube, but once it's on your skin, it dries to this very faint, plasticky vanilla, not appealing at all. Also, the cream itself has a weird consistency and I don't like how it comes out of the tube. It feels like lard or crisco in your hands, but then it soaks into the skin well and actually does a decent job of moisturizing, but the smell will prevent me from ever purchasing it again.

While I loved this scent in the body cream, I wasn't too thrilled with the lotion. They seem to smell different. I kept a tube of the cream in my car for nearly a year. I'd use it every morning (sitting at a light) and always enjoyed the light but fragrant buttery smell. The moisturzing properties of this woderfully thick cream is what originally sold me. The lotion was a differerent story. It was very faint with a sort of plastic note. I tried to use it, but really disliked it and ended up tossing it.

This had potential for me, because the scent is amazing straight from the bottle- rich, creamy, buttery sweetness. But on the skin, it morphs into a light, plain sugary scent. And And then it disappears entirely after 10 minutes. It also doesn't moisturize my skin at all. I love other products in this line, but this lotion was only mediocre.

I bought the small tube of lotion at Wal-Mart. I always try to buy the small ones b/c otherwise I tend to find something new before I can use up the larger containers! Anyhow, I went through one little tube and even bought another! I really like the scent, and I think it lasts descent (especially for a WalMart special!).

so i was waiting for my pictures at wal mart, when i drifted over to the health and beauty department. i always drift to that department. i wasnt expecting much, i mean wal-mart, right??? well i just gastric bypass surgery two weeks ago, and i ordered about five foodie philosophy shower gels online. it seemed as though they were taking forever to arrive. i found this just in time. no fruit, no floral, no perfume, just pure buttercream frosting. delicious smelling. lasts a long time too. im in ove at only 5 bucks a pop!

Just to clarify, this review is for the Bodycology Vanilla Buttercream Body Cream (in a tube and thicker than the pump lotion).
I loved the Vanilla Buttercream Body Mist and thought that the body cream would be a great tool for layering. Ay. Not so much, really. I LOVE the texture and moisturizing power of the body cream, and it's heavenly as a foot cream. However, the scent is questionable. I wore the body cream on my hands and asked my husband, "How do I smell?" He sniffed my hand and said, "You smell like...sunscreen with vanilla." Unfortunately, it wasn't that yummy coconut sunscreen smell. It's that thick, weird sunscreen scent that has taken over the market as of late. I'd purchase this body cream again, but probably as a foot cream, since no one will really smell it, and it has done wonders for my dry feet.

i got this in the body cream and this is totally opposite to the fragrance. the fragrance is awesome in vanilla butter cream, but then after a few days of wearing it i noticed that it smelled like rubber.

I purchased the Vanilla Buttercream body cream, which comes in a tube. Initially, it smelled like delicious, rich buttercream frosting. Even on my skin it smelled so delicious! But then, after a couple of weeks, all I smelled was a vanilla-y play-doh. In the bottle and on me. In fact, when I wore this to class one day, a person commented that something smelled like play-doh (and continued about how he hated the scent of play-doh). I was mortified!
There are better buttercream scents out there. The cream itself is very thick and moisturizing, and a good value for the price. The scent, though, definitely brought it down. I will not repurchase.

This review is for the body cream. The scent is amazing in the bottle & overall it moisturizes very well. The one disappointing thing is that the scent disappears after 5 mins. Since I mainly buy lotions like these for the scent rather than the moisture (I use all purpose unscented body lotion for that) it was quite a let down. I am going to get the body spray & layer to see if that helps any.

I use this with the body spray and I'm hooked! This is sooo nice and it's hard to believe that Walmart has it. I was surprised at the richness of this lotion. My skin is dry but this left it nice and soft. I think that the body cream would be too much but I haven't tried it. This is definitely something I will buy again and again!

I'm on the fence with this one, it smells good sometimes, sometimes not so much. I find the lasting power to be poor and the scent to be some what cloying. It does smell like Buttercream, but IMO there are a lot better Buttercreams out there.. Not bad for a drug store Foody scent fix though and you can't beat the price

This product is very quickly becoming a HG product for me. I like it in both the body cream and the lotion, the lotion being obviously thinner and less rich than the cream. I plan to use the lotion more often in the summer and the cream more often in the winter. The scent is absolutely delicious creamy vanilla frosting, and smells similar to but IMO better than Jaqua buttercream, which turns kind of plastic on me. This bodycology version works much better for me, and is much cheaper. I am about to repurchase this in the cream and bodywash.

I bought this as a cheap, random pick-me-up at Walmart one day. Sadly, it did not make me feel any better. For one thing, I could not find any large tubes, which was probably better anyways, since it would've gone to waste...But they only sold teeny little sample tubes for $1.50.It is a rich, creamy buttery lotion, not greasy. The initial scent is nice enough, rich vanilla frosting, but I detect a plastic undertone. And that overwhelms the vanilla scent eventually. So, alas, I did not like this.
