This brush does its job well. With this brush, my eyeshadow is blended very well into the crease of my eye naturally. It has make my make up routine easier and more professional.

This is a lovely brush for all over eyeshadow. I use this more often than any other eyeshadow tool besides my own finger!

I'm currently in the process of kicking myself in the butt for not buying this when it was part of a kit on a website sale. Gah!
I love this brush. It's my HG crease brush. Love that there's a nice point at the tip, but not overly pointed. Just the right point to get the color in there, and then as you blend, the rest of the bristles fall into place. LOVE.

I absolutely love this brush. The bristles are so soft and fluffy. I use it to apply a wash of color to my entire eyelid and for blending. I bought the brush on ebay for real cheap and am thinking of buying one more to apply powder on top of concealer. Great multi-use brush.

The pony tail brush is intended to be used in the eye crease area for better blending and application. I find that this brush is not sturdy enough and the counterpart by Bobbi Brown works much better. If is very hard to get any blending action as the brush soft of bends. I am currently in the process or replacing all my brushes from Laura Mercier as I am not very happy with them. They will end up on my swap list soon.

I love this brush so freaking much. Try sweeping little circles (quickly) on your crease for the BEST smoky eye around. Soft bristles, yet packs a lot of punch! I've had mine for a year. It holds up after washes and continues to be my favorite brush that I own.

This was my second Laura Mercier MU brush purchase, the first being the flat eyeliner brush. I bought it in December '06 and now over a year later I still use it every day that I put more than eyeliner on. I house/pet sit and am frequently not home so I wish it came in a travel size since I have most LM brushes in 'travel' length, but I find a way to get it into any bag. I use it for blending and can't believe how idjit-proof it's made my blending. I didn't wear much MU at all prior to a huge Laura Mercier saturation I started 12/06 and I was grateful for the MUA helping me prioritize such a huge shopping list of things I would need! She told me the ponytail brush was a great universal brush and she was right, but now that I've added other LM brushes, I mainly use this for blending. I've come to love layering colours in the very outer corner of my eyelid and this brush helps keep it looking mysterious, yet not over-the-top. No sense scaring any of the friends and co-workers who have been used to my non-makeup look forever. It's a breeze to clean too, I love how easily it rinses and reshapes. I've used it for some very unorthodox uses when I've forgotten to pack a crucial brush, it can be the McGiver of brushes sometimes for me.

I'm always horrible with eye makeup so when I drop by LM counter and the SA use this on me, I have to have it. Help blend any color I put on like a dream and give just a perfect subtle look I like.

This brush is actually better for work in the crease than her crease brush. I use the crease brush all over. Anyway, my mother has this brush while I have the Mac 224, and like the previous reviewer mentioned, the brushes are similar and you don't need two. However I find the LM is firmer, and better suited to sheer shadows. I like the Mac because it is kind of "floppy" so I use it for higher pigment shadows where I don't want to pick up a lot of product. I have had a lot of good luch with LM brushes and this one is another winner. If anything happened to my Mac brush or my mom was giving me a hand me down (when she gets into zen house mode) I would defnitely get this before getting the Mac one again.

Saw the review on this and had to comment. This is one of my favorite brushes, too! I use this for crease work practically daily. It is similar to MAC's 224 brush, but I think I like this one better. Actually, I had the 224 before I bought the LM Ponytail, and after a LM MUA used it on me for my crease... I just had to buy it! It is almost identical to the MAC version, but the LM brush is more angled and slightly denser bristled. (At least when I compare mine, it is.) The slight variation seems to make it fit in my crease better. If you already have the MAC 224, you probably don't really NEED the Ponytail... unless you are a fanatic like me... always searching for the best of everything. :o)

Can't believe my HG eyeshadow brush isn't on MUA! This brush is almost 1" long, medium firmness, and shaped sort of like a Christmas tree. It is ideal for placing contour color in the crease quickly and easily. Put the tip in the crease and go back and forth over your eyelid and the eyeshadow goes on perfectly, without having to get a blender brush and blending like mad. A Trish McEvoy SA told me they copied LM's. I classic - no one should be without this one. I use it daily and will forever.
