I bought this product yesterday hoping that the outcome would aid in my fight against a recent skin breakout on my face, arms, and back. I must say that I am already impressed. I used it at bedtime and applied cocoa butter. When I awoke this morning I was pleased. My skin feels smoother than normal. Can't wait to update after a few days. Hopefully the results will continue to improve.

Positive comment: cheap, removes dirt and makeup, and great for oily skin.

Two weeks after using this product my face started to have little acne at the jaw line. I've been using proactive which helps my acne to subside then use this soap during the day and eventually end up using at night. Then I notice little acne pop up again which sucks!

I really hope it work for me but it didn't...

Cheap and it works. I don't know if this will replace my Alpha Hydrox face wash as my everyday makeup remover but its definately worth having on hand. It will clear up your face in as little as one wash. Around TTOTM I break out so I just lather up with this and it clears up my skin immediately. It also really clears up the little bit of discoloration in my face that I've gotten as I've gotten older. I got it at Walmart for around 2.00 its in the ethnic product section in the hair aisle of my Walmart.

I have found my HG face cleanser!
I've used so many cleansers before; several drug store brands, Mary Kay (velocity), Lush... they weren't all bad cleansers, but nothing comes close to this! Although I didn't see results as fast as some of the other reviewers here, the results I saw were great!
Acne hasn't been a huge problem for me, especially after using Accutane a few years ago, but I wanted something to control the occasional zits I'd still get, especially around that time of the month.
Not anymore! My skin is brighter, and even some hyperpigmentation scars I had from old zits have lightened! My guess my skin is a lot oilier than I thought it was, because I didn't find it too drying it at all, I used it twice a day with no problems! Only now during the winter I've cut back to once a day.
The only drawbacks I have are that it states it would clear away little skin bumps too, which I haven't seen results with. I also can't find it at Wal-Mart like some other users here, and I've looked in a few different Wal-Marts! I think I'll try a beauty supply store.

I just bought this product 3 days ago from my local Fred's Discount store. I was actually going in to get my usual Neutrogena acne spot treatment when i was standing in front of this product, now i being that i do have very sensitive acne prone skin that nothing but using Proactiv has worked on, but i ran out of it and lets face it, it has become way to expensive for me to keep up.I had bought black soap before but it was like the Genuine white and black brand and it does get all the grime out your skin, but my issue was acne and i was having a major breakout at the moment. I have used this soap for only 2 days now and believe it or not i have already seen a difference in the size of the bumps on my face, it is drying them out and i have been at awe. I cut my bar in half and saved one part in a plastic zip lock bag to reserve it, but i will be going back to buy 2 more bars, at least while they have alot more in stock. Im so surprised this is working so well, and it is very inexpensive, like around $2.00.I just wish i would found this little secret a while ago.

I've struggled with acne for many, many years. It's been two weeks of using this soap and so far my skin is really starting to clear up.

I do have very oily skin so I don't experience the dryness that some have but my oil has decreased.

Great price ($3 and some odd cents Canadian) and I'm really looking forward to seeing how this works long term.

EDIT: I've since stopped using this soap on my face. I feel like I've used better on my face. That being said I do enjoy using the soap on my body and have had pretty good results (although not totally clear) on my chest/back/shoulder area.

***UPDATE****I have been using this for over 4 months and i still love it. I still get breakouts monthly but between breakouts this really cleanses my skin and gets rid of all my makeup. It helps speed up my breakout recovery time too. BUY THIS!!!

Saw this product on MUA and i decided i would try ANYTHING! I was breaking out really bad around my jawline. I have only been using twice a day for about a week and almost all the breakouts are gone. They actually started to heal within the first two days.

The soap doesnt look like anything pretty but it smells nice and i will continue to use as long as i get the results i am getting. If you are desperate for a good cleansing bar try this one. plus its only $2!

It is a bit drying and i can say the only con was that around my mouth and nose my skin dried out REALLY bad but i applied some eurecin(sp?) healing lotion to that area and it seems fine now.

i have tried 3 other black soap that are the from blocks and are crumbly and supposedly authentic, and those were all so harsh for my sensitive skin , i am really enjoying ultra glow black soap tho
i find my skin getting clearer and clearer after every use i feel that this product is just as good as the authentic ones you get online and great for sensitive skin i highly recommend this and its around $2 it does last longer then the real thing too

I read about this soap here a while ago and I knew immediately that I had to try it. I live in Norway. It was not easy get it. I tried Ebay and a few other online places to get a hold of it. In the end I was lucky enough to find it on Amazon and ordered it. Together with shipment I paid 5 times more for it than what it costs at Walmart. But I am glad I did. I am really really happy with it. It really does clean the skin so well. I even wash my eye makeup with it. It does dry a bit but I put moisturizer or a drop of oil on my face afterward and my skin looks really very clean and fresh. I have told my husband to buy me 10 boxes of it on his next trip to the US. I am looking forward to using it on my body as well.

Yup finally found my HG soap for my acne prone skin. My skin never stop breaking out till I use this soap. It really clears up my skin, even while having hormonal prob, my face just has one or two pimples and they clear up overnight with help of BP. I highly recommend for those out there who are on the verge desperation with acne problems.

Just started using as nothing else seemed to help my skin at that time of the month. Breakouts appeared but were gone the next day. Couldnt beleive how fast the bumps were dried and gone. It is actually black so it may not look appealing to some but it smells really good and works even better.

Saw this sitting beside of the Palmers Cocoa Butter Soap that I normally purchase and figured I'd give it a shot for $2.00. This stuff is the BOMB. I have combination skin and this works great. My skin looks brighter and feels amazing. I will keep repurchasing. This just goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune to get some GREAT stuff.

My dad raved about black soap for years but I never was interested until all of a sudden my skin went crazy and I had all these break outs on my chin and forehead. I tried Clinique, Neutrogena, BeFine, Witch Hazel, and was about to order Proactiv. I picked up a bar of the black soap at Wal-Mart for $1.77 and started using it on Friday. Well, today is Wednesday and my skin is almost cleared up!!! I wash my face with the soap in the morning and at night and cannot believe how fast I have seen results. No more expensive stuff for me!

Ive been using this soap for about 3 days now, and my skin has drastically cleared up. The texture, the tone and overall appearance are very different. This will be the only thing I use from now on. I'm sure it will be great for anti-aging as well. it exfoliates super well too, but it doesn't have any built in scrubby thinggys. I dont know what ingredient does this but it is the bomb. I paid $1.77 at walmart for it. Oh yeah, smells pretty too.

This stuff is actually black. When I wet it and ran my Buf Puff over it, it went on black, and the lather turned out grey. I guess it'll take some getting used to. Anyway, it smells very good and cleansed my oily skin well. It was about $1.75 at Walmart.
