This is a very vivid and rich bright true red. It is very flattering on pale skin, it really does give that Snow White effect! Also, it makes your teeth look super white.
It is very creamy and well pigmented. Applies very smoothly and nicely, though I definitely recommend using a lip brush with this one, or you're going to have a mess. It has a mild cosmetic smell, which doesn't bother me much at all.
It doesn't wear super well on me, I can get maybe a couple of hours out of it max before I need to touch it up. That may be because I'm not used to wearing such dramatic lip colors. It stains your lips a 'fruit punchy' shade, fyi.
This is all in all the nicest red I've ever tried. If I ever use up the whole tube, I'd buy another.
PS: this shade also works great for retro/Mad Men era looks!

The less you put on, the brighter and more vivid the color looks. The heavier you apply it, the more brown and dark it looks, like "dried blood" as someone mentioned down below. Color pay off is good, it's matte, and it goes on well. The lipstick is a bit drying so be sure to put a bit of lip balm. It tastes like soap which is VERY unpleasant when I'm drinking or eating or simply when I accidentally lick my lips. Imagine licking a bar of soap, cause that's what it tastes like. It's got good lasting power, but not when you accidentally rub your lips with food, a straw, fingers, etc... I did eat something somewhat greasy, but it was more like soupy not grease. The color washed straight away and left a weird, block-type contrast of no lipstick in the inner part of my lips compared to the outer part of my lips. I never ever care about lipstick smells, but this one smells.. weird, it smells very chemically.

WOW, oh wow! This may just be my perfect red. At last!! I ordered this online , sight unseen, based on reviews only, since I donot have a ULTA real close. It was only $4.50, no shipping so I thought it was more than a fair price. On me this is very, very close to NYC sheer red only much "heavier" , a true lipstick - one coat and done whereas Sheer red seems to have a lighter more balmish feel and takes several times of application and blotting to build up the proper shade on me. , Snow white is slightly more truer red than sheer red and super long lasting. Again I apply with a brush so its more of a stain. Full strength from the tube its a bit to heavy and dark/ brown/gothic blood red. Sheered out a bit its a perfect red, still what I would call blood red but more "clear" or "pure" with no hints of brown. Its eyecatching but not overly bright or loud. It goes with everything and honestly I do not have to touch up at all unless I eat something greasy like pizza. While I cant see myself not trying other red lipsticks ( I am a junkie after all) I do believe this will have a permanent home in my makeup case. Plus how can you not love the name. I have light skin and black hair with bangs and this really does make me feel like Snow White!

I love this lipstick. It's a very pigmented dark red and though some people have discribed it as not vampy it looks a little vampy on my pale skin. It's a blue based red which is good for people with cool(pink) undertones. It's my favorite red lipstick but it's not a color I wear every day. I put this on with a lip brush because when I put it on from the tube I made a mess(but more skilled people might be able to just put it on). This lipstick is really creamy, which might not be the best for a dark red because it can smear. I usually dap it on, blot, dab it on again. Love it and it has a great price.

This is blood red lipstick. I love the name. The tube is very cheap but cute. Like all other Nyx lipsticks it has a hint of a smell of sunscreen which is really annoying, kinda gross but I put up with it. On to the lipstick. It is the "perfect" red. Think Marilyn/pinup/expensive red roses color red. There is no brown to it. Its not coral and its not vampy looking. Just a straight up stunning red with blue undertones. It is so creamy and makes your lips look like you applied a clear gloss on top. Like any red lipstick, a lipliner is a must, especially with this since it is so creamy. I use and I recommend the NYX lipliner in "#844 Deep Red". It matches perfectly.

Wow, this color is so unique and awesome! It is definitely the perfect, "lips red as blood" color. I'm going to be using this for a 1920's silent movie look with a dark lip liner underneath but I can also see this being a perfect vampire or Snow White color as well for photoshoots or Halloween/costume parties. It's a bit intense for everyday wear in my opinion, but it's still a gorgeous color and very opaque and smooth to apply.

This is the first lipstick which I have absolutely loved. Snow White has a rich, blood red hue which makes my lips look seductive; this lipstick is definitely a go-to for evenings. The rich red works wonderfully with my fair skin and dirty blonde hair, but it would flatter any skin tone. The biggest perk about this product is its ability to stay on all day. Even when I eat or drink, the product does not rub off or transfer. Also, the color does not fade, it remains a vampy red until it is removed. I am amazed NYX's lipsticks are only $4 because Snow White is certainly worth much more.

Dissapointed in this shade. I expected a bright red shade - like fresh blood, but it turned out to be a very browinish red (a bit like MAC Dubonnet) which reminds me of dried blood. It doesn't suit me, I have a feelign it would flatter darker complexions more (I'm NW10). My first NYX lipstick- doubt I'll try any more.

I love this rich, vibrant red. The formula is very nice and creamy, applies very smoothly (I use a brush), and lasts a long time.

Dirt cheap but very pigmented blood red. It's cool-toned which works very well for my skin. It looks too vampy when I layer on too much so I swipe some on, dab and repeat again to give a nice stain to my lips.

I would give this a 3.5. The color is not a true red but more of a dark red-brown. It's really nice and moisturizing. The staying power is fairly poor. I don't see myself buying the product again because of the longevity issue.

I love this lipstick. It's not a true red, and it's just dark enough to veer into goth territory if you're not careful, but there is something very striking when it's placed with really pale skin.

My only complaint is that I think they've slightly changed the pigment. I had this color a couple of years ago through eBay and an American seller, and I do think it used to be a little lighter and brighter.

The Canadian version I bought for Halloween (yes, I was playing Snow White), seemed darker, especially when I compared the photos from Halloween to those from a couple of years ago, but it's also possible that I applied it much more thickly.

In any event, darker or lighter, it's a great deep red for pale-skinned girls.

I adore this color on my cool skintone--vampy, dark red goodness. The staying power is so-so, but I don't mind re-applying it, and I've found that using a lipstain underneath (I use Revlon's Just Bitten in Gothic) helps the color stay bright longer.

This is an amazing red lipstick. I'm fair-skinned and this lipstick looks amazing on me if I wear it as a stain. I just dab this on my lips so it's not too intense. It gives me a beautiful deep red stain that looks like I've been eating cherries. It's a cream finish with a very moisturizing feeling.

It's a very sophisticated color that can be worn during the day as a stain and can be more dramatic for night as well. The packaging is nice. I like that I can see the color on the bottom of the tube. It definitely helps with the storage of all my lipsticks.

Overall, I think that the NYX round lipsticks are lovely and easy to wear for the most part. The deeper shades tend to be richer and more pigmented. I think the cream shades are definitely worth checking out which the frosts aren't that great in my opinion.

So excited about this lippy! just bought it after reading the reviews on here and it is everything everyone has said. I was looking for revlon moisturestay in crimson but this is almost an exact match. i love dark lippies as I have fairish neutral skin with light brown hair and quite dark full lips so nudes don't suit me. (the lightest ive got is revlon colourburst in "rosy nude" which is an exact match for my lips)
I would definitely buy this again!

just a warning - don't think it wil be great if you have thin lips as dark colours make your lips look smaller, or are scared of outrageous colours - this is not for the faint of heart!!!

great dupe for revlon moisture stay lipstick in "crimson" - very blood red
have posted a pic - I'm the one with lightish brown hair and fair skinned.
p.s also great worn over NYX "pure red" - slightly richer effect.

Let me preface this by saying: I'm a medium-light Asian, typical yellow undertones but can wear both orange and blue based reds.

I picked up this lipstick while looking for a new mascara at Ulta. I am NOT a lipstick wearer; in fact, I usually don't wear anything on my lips except for lip balm. So, I actually shy away from lip color, especially because I have thicker lips.

But Snow White is so incredibly wearable. The texture is super smooth and it lasts through eating pretty well (and I didn't do the powder in between blotting trick). But the color is wonderful. It's a satin texture, no shimmer. It's only $4, so try it out!

***EDITED: Took off 2 lippies. This lipstick seems to go bad very quickly. It turned very very brown in the tube after only a couple months. That's pretty unacceptable.

ALMOST true to its name - I kind of imagined Snow White to have brighter lips. :) I use this as a stain because putting it straight from the tube looks too severe on my face. (I'm on the fair side) I don't know.. Maybe I'm not used to really, really dark reds. It's matte and really creamy and has rich pigmentation, which I like. It is kinda vampy but I think anyone could pull this off, if used in moderation. This isn't an HG product for me but for the price, Snow White is definitely a treat.

This is the PERFECT universally flattering red lippy! 'Snow White' is not orange toned at all and is more of a "blood red" which I think works best for different tones (cool, warm or neutral). It's bold, very pigmented/opaque, creamy and this particular shade is slightly more moisturizing compared to the other Round Lipsticks. It does feather a little, but with bolder colours (red especially), I always wear a lip-liner with it to make it last longer and to create cleaner precise lines. Overall, I would definitely repurchase because it's one of the better red shades I've come across in a long time.
