Overall, this is a great eyebrow filler. Not too dark or heavy. Looks natural. However, maybe its just mine, but the walnut color caked over. I would have to scrape off the to layer to access the brow filler, which was a total waste of product. I never use the ivory highlight because its nothing special. If it didn't cake over, I would buy this again.

I've tried d/s and h/e pencils, waxes and powders, but this one is my HG! I bought this almost 10 years ago and it still has about 50% left and I use it everyday. I apply it with the MAC angled eyebrow brush and it looks great. I don't use the highlight shade because I use an eyeshadow to highlight. It's the perfect dark brown for my lt-med Asian skin, dk. brown hair and eyes. Looks very natural. Lasting power is awesome too. Lasts through my cardio workout during lunch and my evening workout. Too bad it's discontinued:(

THE BESTT eyebrow shader out there. Good color for fair complexions and black hair. I use it with my MAC 208 because I feel that it gives more precision than the MAC 266. It doesn't fade away by the end of the day, and you don't need to pack it on because it's so pigmented. Use lighter brush strokes if you don't want your brows to be too dramatic. The highlighter end is great too, I use it under my brow to define it.

I have used this everyday for the past year and a half and still have lots of it left. I use this for my brows EVERYDAY and love the shade. It looks so natural on me and I LOVE the highlighter shade! It compliments my brows SOOO WELL!!! I love the slide out packaging of this product as well. So useful! This is a must have for my everyday routine! I use this with my 266 brush btw.

MAC was pure genius in coming out with this one! I wish I had picked up the next darker shade .. but this definitely does the trick. Walnut is just about as perfect as I could hope for adding a little depth and definition to my brows, and the highlight shade included is a bonus, and looks magnificent on! I definitely plan on picking up another one for when I hit pan on this ... which is probably one of the few things I actually will hit pan on!!

Great buildable coverage for an eyebrow powder. Looks very natural. I like this better than my previous fav, Anastasia brow duo. I dont use the highlighting powder side, but its nice to know its there if I ever need it. Of course this had to be discontinued as all my MAC favorites are:(

i bought this product because i was tired of the way my eyebrows were looking with lingering brow liner and espresso shadow over. i have very sparse eyebrows and i wanted to achieve a more sleek look. the lingering and espresso made it look like my eyebrows were "powdered" on without the sleek look. i wanted to try this product because it has wax in it and that's what i was looking for. so far so good. i like the way my eyebrows turn on. i still use lingering and then the powder over it.
EDIT: ok so i decided i don't like this product as much i did when i began using it. when i apply pencil and then this over, it's very diffiicult to blend and looks blotchy. so now i use pencil, espresso eyeshadow, and brow shader to "finish" my eyebrows off. i would return this though if i still could.

I am NW15 with medium brown hair (and brows). First of all, these brow shaders are sadly being discontinued. The Walnut/Ivoire shade is a bit deeper than my medium brown hair, which I think is perfect to give my brows some definition. The light highlight shade is useless, however. I really wish MAC reformulates the brow shaders to have wax in them like other brands have. Either way, I really like using the brow shader rather than an eyeshadow because it's much easier to carry around in my makeup bag. I really hope MAC brings these back in some form or another.

I have been looking for a brow shader for a while and often find my choices are too harsh and not natural enough. I resorted to using a brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows but the colour was never quite right. I asked the Mac MUA and she recommended this colour which is absolutely perfect. The shadow fills in your brows without looking too unnatural or heavy. The colour is pretty much perfect for me, I am Asian with black hair and the brow shader really helps to finish off my daily make up. I don't wear very much but this along with my mascara and eyeliner are musts for my everyday look! The highlighter is nice too but I don't use it very often however when I do it really helps to define the brows. I really love this product and would definitely recommend it!

though i do love Lingering eyebrow pencil....no matter how carefully i apply, it just looks drawn on...i have black, sparse asian brows....but i think i like this better...i use this with my 208..i got tired of using my Mystery e/s as my filler...looks garish on me (was recommended by the SA).....MMM w/ yellow undertones C3/C4 skintone....the highlighter kinda disappears on my browbone though (id rather use ricepaper)...this is also one of kim kardashians favorite (other is lingering)

Overall, it's just another MAC color. Like the rest of MAC stuff, the colors took multiple strokes to show, but it's good, I mean too much color once will be pain in the ass.
I have thick black brows and my hair color is lighter than brows color, so I purchased this one to give a more defined look and it's actually quite nice, did not have any bad effects to my sensitive skin. and it's easy to wash off.
only I wish the eye brown gel would work. So far I haven't found a gel that's strong enough to hold my stubborn and long and thick eyebrows. still searching...

I wanted to get a brow-filler to make my brows more polished for photos for an upcoming family wedding. I had currently been using the MAC Brow Finisher in Clear to tame my eyebrows, but was looking for a powder filler. According to other reviews on MUA, MAC Brow Shaders were long-lasting (a must for me, the only touch-ups I like to do are translucent pressed powder and lipgloss). I went to my local counter and the MAC makeup artist said that Walnut / Ivoire would give me the most natural look... not trying to look like Joan Crawford here! (I'm Asian with medium, golden-complected skin and dark brown/black hair). And I love how it fills in my eyebrows without darkening them. I apply my Brow Finisher on first to tame the hairs then with my MAC #208 I use short, feathering motions to deposit the color on my brows. Then I apply the highlighter shade right beneath, on the brow bone. If I'm not wearing much makeup (i.e., the "au naturale" look) I'll at least do my eyebrows - it instantly adds a polished look to my otherwise minimal makeup. I also like how the packaging is very secure, but I wish it somehow came with a mirror. It is probably just regular eyeshadow but I wouldn't want to use the same shadow for eyes and brows for fear of cross contamination; it also seems like you get a lot of product (if you solely use this for your eyebrows) for the buck.

I bought this product and the matching brow brush after getting my brows shaped by a woman who used to work for MAC, who used this product on me. It's so much more subtle and effortless than any other brow product I've used, including my formerly beloved Shiseido brow pencil. Walnut is a good match for my eyebrow colour and isn't so harsh as to require copious amounts of time blending and shading and so on. It defines my brows without making them look overly dark, and thickens them without making them look fake. I load a small amount of powder (you don't need much) onto the brush and away I go. I have to admit I don't often use Ivoire (the highlighter) but when I do, it adds a nice touch. Should I go back to my original hair colour (blonde) I may use a different shade, but as a copper-streaked brunette, it's perfect.

Pros: good staying power (all day without any sort of primer as long as I don't rub it), no flaking of colour. I think this is going to last forever because I've been using this almost every day for several months and I can hardly make out a small dent in the brow powder. I like the highlighter that comes with it, it's nice and subtle.
Cons: one lippie off because I wasn't able to find a perfect colour match.

i have always been an eyebrow pencil user ever since i paid more attention to my eyebrows. i have used the one from rimmel which i love (and still do) but lately i wanted to try something else and saw this at the MAC counter. the SA recommended the walnut/ivoire shade which is one shade lighter than the darkest. i thought it might look too light and unnatural on me since i am asian with medium skin and my hair and eyebrows are black but i still followed her suggestion. tried it right away when i got home and WOW she's right. it was a perfect color match for me. in the pan it looks dark brown but once applied in the brows it just blends in perfectly. it defines and darkens my eyebrows without looking too dark and thick which i can sometimes get from pencils if i don't apply it with a light hand but with brow shader i did not have that problem. the powder itself is not very pigmented which gives a darkened but softer results.
the highlighter also works beautifully. i apply it just right under my eyebrows and it makes my eyes look bright and awake with absolutely no obvious glitter, shimmer or frost. i just wish the highlighter was as big as the brow powder coz i can see myself using this stuff everyday.
this product comes in a very cute rectangular shape slider style packaging and does not come with a brush.

I'm new to the brow scene, so at first I thought this would make my brows look too harsh.....
....until I saw how polished I looked in photos.
Definitely a must-have for anyone who wants to frame their face better!

My friends at the MAC counter recommended this one to me. I was looking for something polished, yet natural. I have dark brown brows, and she told me that this would be a warmer shade for me.
She suggested I use the angled eye brush to apply the shader, and with three at home this is no problem. I went to touch up that night before I went out, but I never really needed to since the staying power is that great.
I have no idea what the highlighter shade is supposed to be used for. I put it just under my arch and it did a great job of brightening that area.
This just looks wonderful, stays put and I'm glad I bought it. The packaging is wonderful. The color slide out and lock into a tiny box when closed.

I thought Smashbox's brow tech set was amazing but that was before trying this one. I was on my way from the hair dresser, where I got my hair died very dark brown so she died my eyebrows as well so they would match. I was in a rush but had to stop by the MAC counter and get a brow pencil, then she showed me the brow shader and I decided to grab it. I tried it this morning and it is just perfect! It looks so natural and does a much better job than a brow pencil. This also come in a lot of colors so I'm sure you can find one that will match opposed to Smashbox where I thought it was hard to find the perfect match. The highlighter is so pretty and really brightens up your face. You can even use it as an eye shadow.

I really like this brow shader. It doesn't fade or come off when you rub your brows, looks completely natural and very easy to apply with a small angled brush. Walnut is a dark brown, brunette color which matches my brows perfectly. My brows are normally black however I dye them brown to match my hair. The highlighter shade is absolutely perfect. It looks so subtle and natural and really brightens up my face. It has minimal shimmer and isn't overly frosty, which I hate. I would definitely repurchase if I run out.
