This is my HG perfume, and I am pretty picky when it comes to scents! I have worn it now for almost 10 years, and I have never grown tired of it. I wear it year around, to work, when I go out.. everywhere. Its light for spring and summer, but can still go into fall and cooler months. I get compliments, and even my husband loves it (and he doesnt like all scents). It is a light, sparkling scent, soft and fresh, slightly sweet. It is the perfect mix between light and romantic but not too florally or cloying. Just a beautiful scent!! I will buy this scent until I no longer can. A little pricey, but worth every penny. The first time I heard of it, a girl walked by and I had to stop her and ask what she was wearing.. I am glad I asked :)

While walking through a certain department store's cosmetic and fragrance section, I had noticed the Issey Miyake kiosk discreetly tucked into a corner and was curious. After helping myself to the testers, I had found a new fresh scent in L'Eau d'Issey. It was light, with floral tones that were playful and sensual at the same time. It did not have the cheap, cloying candy flavoured scent of most contemporary fragrances cluttering up the beauty bars and counters these days. L'Eau d'Issey lingers throughout the day and is quite delightful when applied to your winter scarf as it comes in handy when travelling on a crowded subway train with strangers, some of whom have no concept of personal hygiene. Love the fragrance. Will buy again.

Unique fragrance... A combination of floral and aqua. A unisex perfume. Its like a rare flower in the middle of snowstorm. The scent is light but intoxicating... Love.Love.Love

This fragrance is delightful and classy but I really fell in love with it when I bought the roller. They scent is so potent and makes me feel delicate and refreshed during my stinky 12 hour shifts surrounded by boys. If I close my eyes tight enough, I swear I'm taking a nap in a meadow!

Issey EDP is truly a stunningly unique fragrance! It's is one of my most favorite fragrances! Water is the central theme of this fragrance. It represents purity, serenity, movement and vivacity by blending the sparkling qualities of water, with the warm undertones of the earth. L'Eau D'Issey is a pure floral with musky and woody tones. A very complex fragrance, the perfume is made up of wide range of flower scents including lotus, cyclamen, freesia and carnations, white lilies, with hints of amber-seed musk. The sent is Devine, I feel like a goddess when wearing it, it's perfect!

Not my HG fragrance but a strong contender.

The bottle is lovely and unique. It is supposed to evoke the moon rising over the Eiffel Tower. Done.

On me, this opens as a bright, aquatic, white floral. I get a strong lily of the valley almost immediately, then some rose, then some white floral type flowers, lily etc.... It could be overpowering, but the aquatic thing cuts it and keeps it light. I don't know how they do that, but there it is.
This softens down to a woodsy feel - sandalwood, cedar, on me.
The middle could be soapy to some, fair enough. I think I like that though.

I often wear traditional florals, and I enjoy the floral/soapy/woody journey. What makes this unique is the water feel through it all. It feels cleaner, brighter, perhaps a little edgier, more modern than a traditional floral.

This makes me feel pretty, but it a stylish way. When I am wearing this, in my mind, I am about 10 pounds thinner, wearing a swingy coat and great boots and gliding my way along a boardwalk. Love it.

I very rarely like floral scents, but this one is special. A complex fragrance with a wide range of floral scents including lotus, cyclamen, rose water and white lilies, musky and woody tones. Strangely enough, it sometimes reminds me the ocean!
I like having this in my collection, it's a great every day scent that is pleasant to most people and lasts a long time too.

Initially, it has an aquatic scent that I love but for some reason, there is a "what your mommy would wear" undertone that I can't figure out. It's also quite inconvenient to carry this bottle around.

For years I wanted this perfume. My aunt wears it and it always smelled beautiful on her. Light, fresh, floral, but with a very rich, warm undertone. However, when I finally got it, I realized it didn't smell even close on myself. It smelled very strong, overbearing, and gave me a headache. I think that before buying this perfume, you should purchase a sample to make sure it goes well with your chemistry.

*for original, not Florale* Smells refreshing at first, as others have noted. It plays with "aquatic" and floral/slightly sweet scents at first in a unique way that makes you wonder how it's going to develop. To me it smelled very different than the other scents in the Sephora rollerball collection that I tried. However I found it to settle into a very soapy smell, EXACTLY like Irish Spring. It is very potent too, I couldn't get it off of me and the test strip I sprayed it on has lasted strongly for days, I can smell it from outside of my strong purse! If you're looking for something clean that lasts, this is it. Otherwise, keep looking.

I really want to love this perfume because of its fresh and elegant smelling scent. I know that scent is a very subjective thing and I tend to lean towards that sharp floral scent and this perfume has it all. This could have been my HG perfume but it has a major flaw, it's way too strong, even the EDT was too strong for me. I really like the scent but it made me feel dizzy after a while. Although the good thing is, because its so strong, it stays on for ages. It can stays on my clothes for days until I washed it. This perfume can work on some people but sadly its not for me.

I LOVE the Florale scent, so I thought I'd try the original. I hate it. It smells exactly like Sunflowers perfume on me.

Meh. I can see how this was groundbreaking when it was released, but now it would be hard to distinguish this from the 100s of other laundryish scents like Clean, BBW, frag oils with "Rain" in the name -- all available for a third or even a tenth of the price.

Fragrance is one of the most subjective items there is, I admit, but still I hate this, I hate this, I hate this. Did I mention I hate it??? What is with the "low-tide" note in this scent, I deplore anything with an ocean note. Had to see what all the fuss is about, and I still just don't get it. Horrible! Run away!

This has got to be up there in the Hall of Fame of Perfumes. It just screams quality and craftmanship. I would recommend any day, in a heart beat, to anyone. The only reason I don't intend to wear it myself is it doesn't suit my taste in perfume nor does it fit my personal style.

I have the EDT and it is my daily fragrance. I love this perfume, my sister got given it as a gift and after that I had to have it. Cue shopping outing to buy it and my horror when I realised that I wouldn't be finding it at any economical price. But it is so worth it. I will probably go for the EDP next even though it is more expensive, just because I'm not sure if the EDT is still on me after a few hours. Sadly, it doesn't seem to last more than a few hours at the most and so I must take a lippy off. I'm told you're supposed to spray perfume onto moisturised skin to increase the staying power though, so that might be what I'm missing.

I can't stop smelling my wrist!! I have been wanting this EDP for a long time. I finally splurged today. It is great!! Especially after about ten minutes.

EDP Version... IMHO, this fragrance is VERY unique. Upon application its REALLY strong and INTENSELY fresh, you may not want to come in close contact with anyone, until abt 30 minutes later. Though it is strong the scent is not offensive at all. After about a couple of minutes (30) or so the beauty of this fragrance really starts to shine! It is unbelievably beautiful, powerful but soft (very weird, in an awesome way). I love to smell myself wearing this. It smells very fancy, oddly enough it reminds me of something that your office, bitchy boss would wear! ..Very rich-and-expensive smelling. This perfume lasts for ages, it just doesnt wear off, you would have to bathe to get rid of it, and i mean scrub! I'm in Love, hopefully after a couple of wears i wont get sick of it...I want it to be my signature fragrance. Plz try b4 buying. By the way i tried the EDT which is just as gorgeous, but it seems a bit warmer and perhaps muskier and sexier. EDT, in my opinion doesnt last so u may be throwing away your money. It may smell great but whats the point if you cant smell it after 3/4/5 hrs??? The only down: VERY EXPENSIVE, I felt very guilty after chucking out dolllarz for this, but definitely worth it, because it will last forever because u only need 1-2 spritz for ALL day freshness. Select "YES" to let me know if this was helpful!
EDIT: OK OK OK, got really annoyed with this one... waaayy too strong to deal with, and i am not comfortable in it, i just seem to believe that ppl would despise me for wearing it around them. Fragrances are suppose to make you feel confident and beautiful, this is doing the opposite. Even one spray gives me a headache. I happened to like the EDT a lot better. It's calmer, seems to melt into the skin and smells awesome, and has good staying-power. EDP going back to Macy's.

Amazing!!! A fresh, clean, floral, slightly woody scent with a hint of honey (to me!... guess that's just me though ;)). Lasts all day. I keep sniffing on my clothes when wearing this. Nice bottle as well. Just amazing. ... Only downside is the price but .... it does last longer than any other perfume I've ever bought.
