When I first bought this product, I was pretty disappointed. I was able to find it at a discounted price, but otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford it. I have oily skin that needs to be blotted every couple of hours and mattifiers usually can't keep up with my skin's industrial-grade oil production. Like others have said, the bottle doesn't spray evenly, and if you get too much in one spot, it will leave a chalky residue.
...
I finally found a way to get this to work for me. I spray a squirt into the palm of my hand and use a stippling brush (the duo-fiber black/white ones) to quickly stipple it over my final makeup look. I usually have to go back and squirt it once or twice again in my palm and repeat the stippling action. The consistency of the product seems a little sticky for a liquid and can be quite stubborn. However, this method is the only way found to get this product to work for me. It helps seal in my makeup and keep oilies at bay for longer than a powder. It's difficult to work with, but it does work decently with this method. At least for me it does.

This product is okay. It does make my face matte when I use it after I get oily (and I am extremely oily). It's very refreshing as well, and it does reduce the appearance of pores. But, it is definitely not easy to use. For one, it does not spray "lightly". One spray is a ton! Also, it sprays in a circle, so if you spray it directly onto your face, you miss an area. Personally, I have to spray it onto my palms then rub it together, and then I put it on my face.
Also, the regular price is quite high for such a tiny bottle. I bought it at TJ Maxx, so it was about 12 dollars for me, but I definitely will not be repurchasing

Wow, I'm surprised at these reviews too! I love this stuff! The packing really does SUCK but I put mine in a different spray bottle so it's fine. I just spray it on my fingertips and pat it on my tzone.

This product really does control my oil, and the main reason I love it is b/c I use sunscreen everyday and find that i often 'cakes' or 'rolls up' on my skin so I searched and searched for something to put on before and this product is the best one I've tried yet.

Oh yah, I will second the reviewer who mentioned Smashbox Anti-Shine, I like that too. But I found this product to be much better and easier to pat on than Smashbox. The Smashbox is hard to 'rub in' so I prefer to use this spray at home and keep the other in my purse for when I'm out.

This product is marvelous, rather than the people in this board commenting. I am using the Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion the same time, and in daytime when I felt my face gets a bit oily, I will use this spray and I felt refreshing so much. To spray is a bit funny, but you just have to spray around your face clockwise then you will get it,

Love this idea so much with a Oil Control Spray. I will continue to try more of this line.

Wow, I'm surprised at how terrible the reviews are for this product. I actually like like it. I find it refreshing and it did control my oil. If I used it too often, my face would start to feel dry. My biggest complaint is the packaging. The spray doesn't work like it should, so you waste a fair amount trying to evenly spray your face.

when I purchased this product, my skin was perfectly clear. I just wanted something to control my oil. My skin started to break out about five days later after using it about twice a day, sometimes only once. I would give it a couple sprays on my face each time I applied it,since the application is not easy. I was told by a salesperson at sephora to spray it upwards then catch it with your face. It is now a week later and I have about ten pimples on my face, three of them are small red pimples, the other half are medium bumps that are underground with a little redness on them. I do not want to go out, and have to go to work in two days where I work as a make-up artist. I tried to research the ingredients before using it, but there were only a few ingredients in it and I couldn't find anything on the ingredients. To top it of it, it didn't even help control my oil. I wish I never bought it.

This product sucks! This does not control oil or make my face matte...if anything it makes my face more oily..that's only if I'm actually able to get this to spray on my face. The spray bottle packaging is bad. This sprays everywhere else but my face. What a pain to use and very overpriced.

Well, I don't hate this product like some people do. I actually think it's good stuff. The problem is that they did it wrong. The way this stuff sprays is a pain. It sprays in a circle so it never goes where it's supposed to. If it just came out in a spritz like normal sprays I think they'd really be on to something here. But for the $35 price tag is was too much trouble. I really would re-purchase it if they would just re-vamp the packaging.

I too thought this was a great idea of just misting my face and thinking it would turn the oily area matte...It didn't do anything but sprayed my face and got my blouse spotty and damp (maybe the nozzle was malfunctioning), I agree evian mist wouldve been cheaper-

I was excited about this because it seemed like it would fill a need I desperately have.

My skin is super oil and blotting wipes away my make-up. I was hoping this product would mist on and mattify my skin without having to pile more product on like powder or primer etc.

Unfortunately, this was just like misting water on your face. It even smells like the Evian mist.

I'm giving it a 2, because it actually was a nice face refresher that made me feel clean.

But this is marketed as helping with oil and it does nothing for that. I returned it right back to Sephora.

Save your money!

This product did not mattify my skin at all. Even when I sprayed a lot I didn't notice a difference in the shine on my skin. If you want a real mattifyer, go with Smashbox Anti-shine.

This is my second Cosmedicine product and confirms my theory that the whole product line is crap. It does nothing but make your skin dirty. No good under or over makeup and makes your eyes water so your mascara and liner go everywhere (yes I closed my eyes to spray but the stuff migrates). I am very disappointed because this is such a great idea and I really wanted it to work.
