Loophole is a true silver metal color. Two coats is plenty. In my experience, 3 coats made it look too close to an icy blue color, so I would stick with 2. The wear on this particular color is excellent. I had it on for a total of 5 days, with NO chips at all. I had Seche Vite top coat on, but I think Essie wears well on its own, too. If you want a true silver for your nails, this is it.

I'm definitely into metallic nail polishes, and for me, this is like painting my nails with chrome! The opacity is very good-I can get away with one coat, although it is a smidge streaky, so I'd typically do two. It's a true silver to me, a very light, whitened silver-and it will go with almost anything. It's a very fun colour for the summer, and I definitely recommend it. It's also a good colour to use if you like to play with different nail art things-glitter tips, crystals, decals, and what not.

This silver is solid, true, and opaque in two coats. But it applies less evenly and dries slower than other essie colors I've used. The fine shimmer makes it classy, and it is all in all a nice color... but not what I reach for when I want metallic chrome nails.

I would have never thought to wear silver nail polish, however, I saw Lauren Conrad wearing it in a magazine and was surprised at how cute it looked. So, I decided to give Essie Loophole a try.
The verdict: as amazingly cute as I thought it would look, and as usual, Essie nail polish has great staying power!
I've been into gold jewelry as of lately, and loophole doesn't look as dreadfully awful with it as I originally thought. In fact, it's a surprisingly nice contrast.

Color: a true silver, nothing else. Metallic.
Lasting Power: two weeks with minimal tip wear (base and top coat used). Impressed, but thank god because I paid seven bucks for it.
Price: 7.00$, cheaper than OPI and others but more expensive than sinful.
Packaging:nice and simple. has an e on the top of the handle and essie on the side.
Comments: Kind of streaky on the first coat, needs two to get bottle color. Brush is thinner than OPI's prowide but still easy to use. Would buy again but it is LE.
Pic: Bottom is Loophole, the top nail is MAC rainy day.

This nail polish is fun. I got it right after Christmas on sale. 2 Essie polishes for $4 at Ulta! It's very silver and very shiny. I don't think I will wear it often, but for special occasions it's good. It would have been especially appropriate for the holidays. Maybe next year! It took me 2 coats to get the polish nice and solid and it dries so fast just like other Essie polishes.

This is a strong shiny silver. Not sheer or pale in any way. Sometimes metal colors can be so weak and sheer. This one holds its own. A+ from me.

This is a very metallic and true silver. It has no white or grey tones to it like a lot of silver polishes tend to, it is a pure and almost chrome-y shade, that looks like liquid metal in the bottle and brushed metal on nails. I thought this may not apply too well, as metallics are often difficult to work with, but it wasn’t too bad. You do definitely need to take your time though; it isn’t the type of shade that can be rushed, as I found once when I applied it too quickly. As with a lot of metallics, it can show brushmarks, and when applied fast and without much care this makes it look uneven and messy. However, when applied properly, it looks great and is worth the effort. Also, when applied well, the brushmarks hardly show as they add to the overall brushed silver effect. I also found I had to take care with my top coat, as any small flaws in its application also showed up with this colour. This is an opaque polish and looks beautiful and full of depth after two coats. I have no chipping and minimal tip wear with Loophole, as Essies work excellently with my nails. This polish looks amazing with black outfits and works surprisingly well with white too. I would repurchase if I ever ran out.

Finally, the perfect silver nailpolish..this is a medium, very metallic slightly grayed silver..no blue or white cast..just pure silver color..almost the color of a shiny quarter. Essie nailpolish is great quality, no chipping etc so I would definitely repurchase!
