I bought this pressed powder with high hopes. I wanted a powder with spf and that keep my oily skin matte. This had the spf, but is not as matte as I expected. The colors are very neutral and never look chalky. I like to use a puff for touch ups and this compact does not have room for one. Inconvenient.

I use the "Healthy Tan" color as my bronzer and really like it. The color is believable and does not make my oily skin greasier. You should definitely give it a try.

I only wouldn't buy this again because there are so many amazing powders on the market and I like trying a lot :) This is one of them (an amazing one) as it doesn't look cakey or feel heavy but still sets foundation beautifully. It only gets 1 lippie off 5 because the color selection is quite lack-lustre and is more on the pink-toned side. I have the 'darkest' available, 'flaxen' (well available at the time) and i could probably go a shade darker and more yellow toned, but it still works if I use the right foundation. Have had it for a little while now and have still not hit pan, so it's good value but expensive. I prefer the loose powder which is now discontinued I think. Good product, but there are probably better ones out there that are cheaper.

I bought this in "Healthy Tan" thinking I could use it as a bronzer. I was wrong. As soon as I put it on, it was WAY too orange for me. I will be returning this product.

good basic powder. bought it because it has sunscreen in it and by the end of the day, what you put on before work has likely worn down. only issue is, you can't reapply this with abandon throughout the day because the sunscreen in it gives off a shiny appearance after awhile.

Wow, first of all i really like the sleek black packaging and the powder is very smooth and silky! I light/medium skin tone with some olive and yellow accents and the neutral shade fits :) I love the fact that there is sunscreen in here so i can touch up on that during the day. The coverage is light to medium range so dont buy this and expect to give you full coverage!
This is the only makeup product I have purchased from Paula and i am happy

Great powder. It's always with me. It leaves a natural finish. It's matte and it has SPF. I really love it. I can see why some people might have complaints with it when it comes to color range - I was very fortunate enough that natural was the right shade for me..I REALLY LIKE this A LOT! I can't say if this is my HG of press powders - but it is definitely high on my list - great product, excellent quality!

I picked up the colour in the lightest shade possible "buff biege." I was scared it would be too dark and my fear was confirmed! It looked like I had applied a bronzer all over my face. It's to bad that there isn't a lighter shade available because the texture is smooth and it looked flawless.

The only complaint I have is the color. The lightest shade is too dark. The concept of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to use for touch ups is great and convenient. But, I cant use it if it is the wrong color.

I purchased this in the lightest shade "Buff Beige", and at first thought it was going to be too dark for my very fair skin, but once applied over her "Barely There Sheer Matte Tint", it appeared to either be translucent or an exact color match, because I couldn't see it on my skin at all (which is a great thing!). I do think she should make a shade fairer though, as I have golden undertones, the lightest shade works for me, but there are plenty of women even fairer than I am, I think "Buff Beige" might be too dark for them. This mattifies oil, yet has the natural luminosity of skin, so there's no trace of powder. Even with touch-ups on my very oily t-zone throughout the day, it never cakes up, goes blotchy, or turns orange. This is perfect for preserving that natural look (this and her sheer tint), that's so hard for us oily skinned gals to maintain. Also, since I can't use chemical sunscreens (breaks me out/makes me oily), I have to get physical/mineral s/s from my makeup, so the added SPF in this powder helps me keep my fair skin even more protected! Love it!

I first purchased the powder when it was still in the square packaging and the lightest shade was fine, but i can't recall it actuallydoing anything for my complexion. Now i just re-ordered this in the "new" round packaging and i love love the texture and the perfect glow ( that's how i imagined MAC's MSFs would look on my skin, but that's a whole other "issue" ) . This really evens out my skin-tone and looks perfect even if reapplied. But Paula obviously missed colour-wise. The lightest shade has so much pink/ warmth to it it looks like NW 25 studio fix ....So if you are that shade go for it! All PPPs must sadly be without this great product....what a shame !!! (JFYI: I 'tested' this for it's great texture on several days ,i knew i didn't have to go anywhere...LOL)

I have a bone to pick with Paula Begoun. Why does she keep discontinuing her best products? Most of the shades still exist (for now), but mine, "Fairest", is now extinct. It took me YEARS to find my perfect powder. PERFECT shade, PERFECT texture, PERFECT amount of coverage and SPF to boot! Now the lightest shade, "Buff Beige", is just too dark for me and I'm lost without my perfect powder.
=(
EDIT: Okay, so after using this for a while, I've noticed that it oxidizes on me anyway. Oh well......

This is the only makeup in PC's line that I do not strongly objected. I have that in the square compact when it first came out. Its good being no funny pink/peachy color, just a tiny tiny bit of luminosity to take away that flat matte look and it doesn't dry the skin out like other powders.
To mimic Paula's lingo .... how will a powder fdn be HEALTHY, put this on a sick patient's face, will that make her recover faster? LOL

This is the pressed powder I use most of the time, and I've been very happy with it. I tried it mainly for the SPF; I don't know how effective it is, but I figure every little bit helps. The powder has a bit of coverage, which I like, and it has never made me break out. It keeps the shine at bay, too, and doesn't look cakey or unnatural. It has a sturdy matte black case with a mirror, but does not come with a puff. I use Neutral, and it's a good match for me and my BE #3 Medium foundation. Nice stuff!

I love the idea of a powder with spf but this one left a shine on my forehead, I think it's because of the titanium dioxide in it. It had good staying power, in fact I had to use a toner after cleansing to remove it. It can cake if you put too much on. If you don't mind the slightly shiny look this would work well.

I don't really feel like this does much for my skin. Doesn't take away much of the shine (which is why I need powder in the first place). Maybe I'll try her loose powder next for my super oily skin.

I use this because Paula's soft pressed powder was discontinued. The soft pressed powder looked more natural on. This powder has a more noticeable sheen to it, which sometimes accentuates fine lines if you have dehydrated skin like me. I use this in Neutral...it's not warm but it's not cool either, it's like the name says neutral. If I had never tried paula's soft pressed powder in Buff, I would probably say this was a four lippie powder. But sadly my favorite powder no longer exists. So for accentuating fine lines, I took one lippie off, and for not having enough color selections...I took another off. But if you have normal skin and can find a perfect shade, this could be perfect for you.

Got a sample of this product and didn't like it. I got the lightest shade and the color was way off for my skin. And it burned on my skin. I ordered a bunch of Paula's Choice samples and truly did not like a single one.

For an SPF powder, this is indeed natural-looking and translucent, like Paula says on her website. Doesn't look and feel thick, powdery, cakey, etc. My shade is Neutral--I use this with her old BFF foundation OR Sheer Matte Tint, and No Slip Concealer. This combo keeps oily skin at bay for a long time. If a slight shine does appear--my face is REALLY oily--I simply it blot with tissue, and off the shine goes. Will repurchase.
