I bought this when it was on sale, I think half off. I figure I won't loose much money if it doesn't work out since I want to have a smudge proof mascara. On the description, it says smudge proof. Upon wearing the mascara, the it started to smudges after about a couple of hours and continues to do so little by little, so I guess it's not really smudge proof, I may have to wear this with a primer under to see if it works better.

does not smudge, its waterproof, takes alittle more effort to remove at the end of the day.
thickens lengthens curls separates lashes but only at an average level
pretty reasonable mascara but for its price its not worth it. I find maybelline are doing some slightly better ones only cheaper!
Very good staying power!

My favourite mascara and that includes far more expensive ones that I've tried in the past. It is a natural look but lengthens, glosses and thickens enough for me - I'm not keen on the false eyelash look.
What I really love about this mascara is that it stays on all day without smudging yet can easily be removed in the evening.

this mascara is okay for that mediocre , kinda natural daytime look , although i never go for that . i generally use this as a base mascara under my more dramatic ones for staying power . quite a dry (compared to 'gloopy' , 'wet') mascara , which i like as it holds a curl and doesn't drag lashes down .

Well, I wanted to like this as I like other No. 7 products and find the price/quality to be very good value. I hated it. It made my eyelashes darker as any other mascara would, but that's about the best I can say for it. I found that it could clump easily if you weren't careful and if you were thus being careful, it didn't look like you had an mascara on at all. No volume, no curl. Blah. Disappointed and still searching...

I really like this mascara. It definately stays put all day with no flaking which I love and it removes so easily. I had to use a few coats to create some length as I like dramatic lashes but the product never made any claims to lengthen so I think the fact a few coats did create the look I wanted was great. I would def by again.

It's fine but the way it drys out it so annoying and I have never used another mascara that does this. The brush actually gets caught in my eyelashes! So no, won't be buying again. It's fine for the first couple of weeks but thats pretty much it.

Great formula that doesn't melt or flake. Goes on smoothly, due in part to the fabulous brush. Creates thick, long lashes-- a great look! Washes off easily with normal cleanser (I use Burt's Bees Soap Bark). Really like this one.

Decent basic everyday mascara, at a very reasonable price for its performance. It does work out expensive, as like all No. 7 mascaras in my experience it dries out fast. You're lucky to get a month's daily use out of this stuff before it goes crusty. In the UK and Ireland, it's about 25% cheaper than, say, Clinique (EUR 14 vs. 19), but has 1/3 of the latter's lifespan...
Bought as a replacement (a while back), in brown/black, when in between Maybelline Full & Soft (not available in Ireland) and Clinique Naturally Glossy.
The colour is not as good as the other two - slightly darker and greyer - but still very good on pale/redhead lashes, and not as weird as black.
Good brush: dense, quite short, slim. The formula is slightly dry, and does dry out faster than the Glossy, resulting in flakes and blobs at the ends of lashes (even with combing between and after coats). This simply means that a tube won't last you a full 2 to 3 months: it works nicely for 3 weeks or so, then over weeks 4 to 5 it gets too dry and need to be replaced. Even using it every day, the tube therefore doesn't get used up. Which is a bit wasteful.
Natural effect - very like Clinique Long Pretty Lashes, perhaps less full than Maybelline Full & Soft - but not quite as soft as either. But acceptable, and didn't make lashes fall out or anything drastic. Also, no problems of irritation, whether of bits getting into the eye or bits on skin around the eye. Slightly funny smell though.
I found it lasted very well - as per the name - all day and through the evening, not smudging or flaking, just staying perfect.
So: a good stop-gap if your favourite is out of stock (especially if you're in the UK or Ireland, where this is easy to get hold of and affordable). I would certainly buy it again for that reason. But not, in my opinion, as good as the Full & Soft, the Naturally Glossy, or Origins Fringe Benefits for my particular purposes.
Price: EUR 13.50 (I think?) / GBP 10.00 / USD 8.99 (at Target)

This mascara has really suprised me, I normally use Clinique High Impact for every day but the Stay Perfect has matched the Clinique in performance and quality.
I purchased this in Black and only bought it as I had a £5 off voucher, I really thought this would end up being a cheap drugstore mascara and it has turned out a high end mascara.
As a rule I always wipe away any excess from the brush and then sweep over my lashes, applying a second coat if needed.
The Stay Perfect does not clump, lengthens and makes my lashes appear a little fuller than normal.
I also like the brush, it has one of those full bristle brushes, when I had used up my last tube I kept the brush, washed it through and now use it as an eye brow/eyelash comb.
Lasts all day, does not flake or smudge and at the end of the day washes off with my cleanser.
You will also use the mascara up well before it ever dry out, I have had my current tube for 5 months now and am about to re-purchase just because I know that mascara should be replased regularly to avoid infection even though the mascara is still going strong.
Would I re-purchse....absolutely!!
This is the perfect mascara for daily use or for a natural evening look.

Does the trick for me - lasts all day without a smudge in sight and separates and defines well - i'm not a big mascara person but this and eyelash curlers is starting to sway me.
