I used this product a very very long time ago. It was fabulous. It was perfect for me since I was too lazy to condition my hair in the shower. Last summer I decided to buy some and was disapointed. I'm quite certain they changed the formula once they swiched from salons to pharmacies. It left both my hair and my daughter's a bit dry with static.

I used to use this a lot a few years ago the scent was overly strong but the product worked well and didn't weigh down my hair, too pricey for the quality though, clairol colorseal gloss conditioner works muchhhh better

Like how it doesn't weigh my fine hair (like Kerastase!) , but no, if you apply too much, it can get crunchy. Also, it doesn't boast any UV protection, but some silicones.
And on another note, it is a spray, and i prefer creamy leave-ins. Ah well, returned it last week as it didn't do much for some minor fly-aways.
Knowing what you know from this comment, if you're still alright with the cons, i'd recommend trying it as it is only $6 and found at your local drugstore.

I hate this product. I have experienced the crunchy hair if I don't blowdry but my main issue is the greasy hair it leaves me with. I don't use this for the leave-in conditioning, I stricly bought this only for detangling.

A lot of people have posted that if you're getting these results it's because you're using too much. What people need to understand is that how much some people use is how much they *need* to use. If I only used enough to not end up with greasy, flat, crunchy hair then I'd be stuck with tons of tangles that would take hours to comb out.

I'd say that this product would be good for someone with dry hair maybe? I have normal hair that is already in great condition, but it is baby fine, is long, is very thick, and is naturally curly. The Matrix Biolage continues to be the absolute best for my hair, though I'd love to find something cheaper. I used to use No More Tangles by Johnson & Johnson but many moons ago they changed the unique pump it had to a regular one and I don't like that.

I've been using Infusium on and off for about 20 years. I have super thick hair with a little wave.

I have found the spray bottle works best for LIGHT, even distribution.

You MUST be careful when applying because it will cause hair to become kind of sticky and lifeless if you use too much. And by all means, DON'T make the mistake of saturating your hair with it.

I have experienced the 'crunchy' and 'brittle' feel that others have mentioned BUT it only happens when 1) you use too much and 2) you don't blow out.

If you're not blow drying or brushing out your hair once it dries, it does leave it a little crisp.

I use it after every shampoo/condition. Used correctly, it keeps my hair very manageable and frizz free -- even in high humidity.

this is the best leave-in protein treatment that ive used so far, it hydrates my hair from the root to the ends, i have no more breaking, my hair is alot softer, my hair just looks and feels healthier. the only thing is it is not a good moisturizer, so i use it with a low protein moisturizer every other day or alternate during the day, use a hot oil treatment once a week and a moisturizing treatment at least once or twice a month. alot of work but its worth it to have beautiful hair in the end! hands down its still the best!

Though I prefer creamy leave-ins, this does a decent job of giving my hair a boost and taking down the frizz. Good also at detangling before styling. You get a huge bottle and it is as liquidy as water, so I had to transfer some to a spray bottle for convenience. Not a HG, but has some redeeming qualities.

I have been looking for a good leave-in for a while. I got this for my sister who has a relaxer and I used it on myself to get on her nerves (since she "zorros" my hair products-meaning draws her initials in them). I'm glad I did because this stuff works wonders on my 'fro. My hair feels so soft and smooth, and I love how my hair absorbs it so quickly. A major problem that I had with other leave-ins is that they wouldn't absorb through my shea butter and made my hair feel funny. Not this one. It is so light that my hair has no problem absorbing it over the shea butter, and it leaves my hair feeling very soft and smooth.

Best of all I can dilute it in a spray bottle with water and use the mixture to refresh my protective styles. It doesn't cost that much and I can get it right from Sallys or any other local BSS. Great product.

I am a licensed hairdresser and as such have access to many hair products. This product has remained at the top of my list as far as hair treatment products go. I spray this on my damp butt length hair that I wash every other day after I shower and I am promised shiny, healthy hair that does not break easily nor frizz uncontrollably. If it is too heavy for your hair you can put some of this into a spray bottle and add some water to dilute the formula but I use this full strength. I love that it is NOT full of perfumes. I do not like products that compete with whatever perfume I have chosen for the day nor do I like products that smell foul. This resides somewhere in between. I really don't pick up on its scent at all which is just fine with me. I use the large size to refill my spray bottle. For shampoo and conditioner I mostly use Mane -n- Tail (first created for horses and used by us humans too)

I have been using this stuff forever, since high school I think..I have longer wavy hair and this helps with detangling. I pured it into a spray bottle and it has just become part of my after shower routine.

Sorry Infusium lovers...this did NOT work for my hair. I really wanted to like this, but I agree with another poster, after continued use this actually made my hair hard and brittle. Ouch. Initially, I liked the results I was getting. But after a week of daily use, my hair was a sticky mess. Maybe this product works better for those of you who have thick hair; mine is rather thin. I give two lippies, because the price is very reasonable, and for the right hair, this might be a dream product.

My friend's mom recommended this to me when she saw my overly damaged hair(straight-permed and bleached). She told me to spray it on dry hair in the morning, and it works great! i can definite feel it's dry after an hour. Actually, I always think this stuff have some bonding ability that it will glue your split ends back together because I can see the difference when I sprayed it on damp hair, all the ends of my hair will stick together!!! Just remember to be "loyal" and "patient" when using this product. It will take a while to really soak in, but when it works, it works naturally making you look like someone who is born with nice hair Also, when you are using it, as someone said, you got to use it everyday, if you stop, you will hate how damaged your hair actually look :P

Love it too! Been using it forever and although I wish it came in a more convenient applicator or maybe even in a creamy formula, this works great anyway. I use it to define my curls and twist each curl tendril so that my curls look more defined after diffusing.

I've used the original Infusium on my hair for years. I have my hair highlighted and this product smooths and reduces the frizziness. My hair texture is fine but lots of hair and it's naturally wavey. I find this product restores the healthy look to my hair. I wash and blow dry daily. I try other products but always come back to this leave-in treatment.

This is a staple and I would never be without it. I has severe frizzy issues with my fine hair, and if I for some reason forget to use this product or am in a hurry, there is a noticable difference. This leaves my hair unfrizzy, manageable and soft without weighing it down.

I typically pay about $6-7 dollars for a large bottle of this at Target and it lasts me about 9-10 months. I have an empty spray bottle that I fill with the infusium treatment and after shampooing and conditioning my hair, I spray this all over before combing through. Then, my hair goes up in a towel for about 15-20 minutes while I put my face on. Finally, I blow dry my hair with a large round brush with excellent results. This product is a winner.

This is a great product for anyone who needs some extra conditioning/ damage control. I have very dry, naturally curly, color-treated hair. It works so well that I keep it in a spray bottle and apply immediately after shampooing and conditioning in the shower. A wonderful product at a bargain price! Highly recommend!

Relaxed hair--Used it every day plus a moisturizer (winter). I fill a Pantene (never buy again) leave-in spray bottle with it. Great results. Never a split end. Was off the Infusium for about 5 weeks or so just because of neglect, AND I was trying to go with the moisturizer alone.

BIG MISTAKE. Split ends all over the place. And I concentrate EVERYTHING I put on my hair at the ends, wear protective hairstyles, air dry, satin cases, and faithful with the vitamins/supplements. Still split ends. Won't slack off again. Been two months and no split ends.

If you get the stiff hair, brush it. If it's still stiff you've used too much (misting is enough) or it's built-up. Protein treatments (leave-in AND rinse-out) do that and you have to wash with a clarifying shampoo after so many uses of them to get the build up off.

Wonderful product!! I've tried other leave in products for hair and nothing gives my hair the shine and softness like this product. One note: DO NOT apply too much!! A little goes a looooong way.....and if you do apply too much then it will feel sort of "tacky" and strawlike.
