I just purchased this today, after reading a recommendation on Pintrest. I exfoliated and applied it tonight and I must say I am impressed. I was a bit nervous since it was a lotion (lower quality lotions just never worked for me, I'm pretty good with self tanner but I just got the feeling my skin was too dry for lotion) but it went on evenly and absorbed quickly. I am Irish and do not tan at all. I'm not pasty white per se, more pinkish undertones with a few freckles. Naturally a strawberry blond. Needless to say, if I want a tan, it has to be a 'fake' one. Last summer my product of choice was Fake Bakes Unisex gel bronzer. Which always applied evenly and naturally and NEVER was streaky even tho it took HOURS to dry and left me so sticky my sheets would get stuck to my body. I think I will be trying Banana Boat this summer! I love the price and the texture.

I applied this one time and I got 10+ compliments on how tan I looked. A couple of them asked how I was so tan, and most of them assumed I went to a tanning bed. When I told them of this product they were shocked it was self tanner. I used latex gloves to apply this and made sure to use lotion and Vaseline on my joints. I also exfoliated before applying this. I was left with no streaks and the smell does smell like self tanner, but it isn't too bad. Doesn't make you look orange, as I am originally pale with freckles to begin with. This is an amazing product and I'm so glad I picked it up. For only about 7 dollars you cannot go wrong.

I have been using this every day for a week after my shower. I mix it ( about a dollop the size of a quarter of each) in the palm of my hand with my favoirite body lotion -Skin So Soft Firm Restore Body Lotion.and apply.to each area at a time This combo not only firms my skin but the self tanner gives me a nice tan . I haven't had any steaking and love the scent.I have not used this self tanner before but the reviews were good on all boards so I'm glad I went along with them..I'll give it another few days of applications and then update this review.I do tan easily but if you're very fair skinned I would suggest using the Light/Medium.

Best self-tanner I have ever used! This is the ONLY one that has a high amount of DHA, but actually smells GOOD! It has sort of a fresh lemongrass scent, but not that dreaded tanner smell! This is tinted, so you get instant color, and a more even application, and this is by far the least streaky self tanner I have ever used. It dries quickly, and gives you a believable shade (not orange). I honestly don't think there is a better tanning lotion than this (at least at the drugstore!!!).

I just purchased this product recently and I love it!! After about 2 weeks of trying to do bed tanning (for the first time ever, yes I know it's terrible for you) I had broken out in a rash on my legs, and was becoming more pink than anything else. This product is AMAZING!! It balanced out my redness, giving me the look I was going for and it's incredibly easy to apply. I've tried using the Jergen's Natural glow on multiple occasions and didn't like anything about, so I wasn't sure about this. I literally cannot say enough good things. If you're someone who tends to "pink" rather than tan, try this!! It's almost idiot proof as far as application, and you can't beat the price. Just make sure to moisturize your elbows, knees, etc. first, that way there won't be excess color going there.

I have literally been using this product for 3 days and I am already in love with it. I have used various self tanners in the past (Jergens, Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works, L'oreal, etc.) I have found that with many others, there is a strong smell, and I tend to get streaks. This self tanner has already made me go from pale to bronze in a matter of days, and so far I have zero streaks. I love this product!! It is a great find!

This product gets an A+ in my book!!! I've been getting asked by everyone how I am getting my tan. This product has little to no streaking depemding upon how foolproof you are when you rub it in. It doesn't look orange-y on me (I am a brunette with dark eyes though and my skin isnt naturally vampy white, so it looks natural on me). I am also someone who can testify to breaking out very easily and I use this on my face and res tof my body with zero breakouts. I love this aspect almost as much as the being tan part ;)Ladies, this cheap product that I feel is the best self tanner on the market is definetely worth a shot. I personally love it, and it also smells great!!!

I bought this countless number of times many years ago when I use to be addicted to being tanned. It's cheap, you get a good amount of product and it "works". I say "works" because essentially, the color was a little too Jersey Shore for my taste. I may be biased because I now sort of see fake tanner like foundation: no matter how "natural" the product claims to look, it's still unfortunately going to show that you've used it. I've come to realize that self tanner is just another product pushed down our throats as cosmetics companies try to make us all believe we're never good enough or beautiful the way we are (whitening creams are sold where people actually are naturally tanned, what a coincidence).
In any case, if you are considering this product (because to each their own), I strongly believe the light-medium version of it to offer a much less orange tan. It is much harder to overdo that one, whereas the deep dark version would have that embarrassing patchy effect around the wrist when it started to fade after 3 days.

I tried this product based off of the reviews I read on this site, and they were dead on. This is the best drug store self tanner I have ever used. I am fair skinned and this did not make me orange, and the smell is not at all what I associate with self tanners. Not to say that the scent is one I would buy as perfume and spray on myself, but it is the best self tanner smell I have ever encountered. The lotion is also hydrating for a self tanner (I would equate the texture to that of Jergens self tanner). The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because once you start to rub it in, you can't see where you are putting it. The only reason I mention this is because if you are not used to applying self tanner you may miss a spot. I also use St. Tropez self tanning mousse, and so far that's my favorite, although I will probably use both of these together.

For what it costs, this is a really great product! The color has a little bit of orange to it, but overall it's very natural. It blends in easily and quickly and doesn't smell as bad as many of the lower priced self tanners tend to do. This is a good "everyday" self tanner. Highly recommended :)

This is a great product - cannot say enough about it!!! The only problem I had was after about a week, when it starts wearing off, it wears off quite patchy and uneven. I can live with this bc the area that spotted was my chest mostly, which is covered up so no one could see anyway. Not sure why bc I exfoliated and did everything I was supposed to? Anyway, the smell is not bad like most ST and gives a natural tan look! Very inexpensive...works better than most High End tanners.

Pros:
This is a great, affordable self tanner that you can get your hands on pretty easily (I buy mine at my local Wal-Mart). The product has great color payoff and doesn't' leave a streaky appearance on the skin. The color is great too; "deep dark" like the packaging says, but it has more of an olive tone compared to other tanners. This is great because it leaves your skin with a more natural appearance and you run no risk of looking orange.
Cons:
A bottle of this does get used up somewhat quickly, since you're using it on your entire body, but the price is pretty low so that doesn't bother me too much. Also, after several uses, the opening of the bottle and under the cap get kind of messy (not really a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it).
Yes, I would buy it again.

Although this is a drugstore brand self tanner, it works really well for me.
The smell isn't to bad for a self tanner, it's easy to apply and I like the color it gives me-- not too dark.
It doesn't last as long as some of the more expensive "department store" brands but it works great for me.
Highly recommended :)

This is the best drugstore self tanner that I've come across. It really does give a beautiful bronze color, without streaks or sparkles. It still has the usual tanner smell, but that does eventually fade. I was also able to use this on my face without any reactions or break outs. I'll definitely repurchase.

I have tried just about every self-tanner under the sun ;)... and this one rates mediocre. I love how cheap it is! That's mostly why I bought it. And for the price it's okay. I found myself looking a little orange in the morning and the tan wasn't super even. Pros: It works fast, smell is ok - very tolerable, you do notice a tan, and it's cheap. Cons: the color isn't as natural looking as some and the color gathers in some areas. I ended up mixing some cheap foundation with lotion over the tan to cover up a few places that looked darker than others and after i did that, the tan looked pretty good. But I don't really want to have to do that everytime. Do note, I am pretty pale and while this didn't quite work for me, someone with darker skin may end up with a more natural looking tan.

I am as white as a ghost, and have tried every single self tanner there is. For years I've gone on vacations and out on summer nights looking like I rolled around in Doritos. You know, that orange fake tan look. So I started to embrace my whiteness. Then this product came along. I didn't believe all of the reviews so I had to try it out for myself. Let me say, my view of self tanners has completely changed, I can't stop looking in the mirror. I actually look tan, and amazing! The application is awesome with the color indicator. The color is AMAZING. I've gone from an NW15-20 to an NW30? N looks all natural. I was surprised that it didn't smell like fake tanner when I first applied, but a few hours later, when the color develops, it starts to stink like the usual tanner smell. But it is definitely worth it? N the price? u can't beat it. No streaks, blends nicely, and feels good on my skin. I think I may start self tanning all year round Bc I just look so damn good! I recommend to all self tanning light skinned beauties
EDIT: Ive never had a product cause acne, Ive never had acne, except an occasional pimple or 2 around that time of the month. After my second application of this, I have 4 active red pus filled pimples on my face. Glad I'll be looking tan for my vacation but I don't know if its worth the acne. I will keep my review at 5 lippies, Bc it is a great product, just didn't react well with my skin.
EDIT 2: woke up looking like an oompa loompa this morning. Have been scrubbing my skin all day as I am going on my first vacation in 10 years this weekend. ARGH

I love this product. I have tried many different self tanners and this one is my favorite. The consistency of the lotion is nice and easy to apply evenly. There is a slight tint that helps you see where you've applied. I was a little nervous about getting Deep Dark, but the color came out really nice on my very pale skin. Looked totally natural and not at all orange. I also loved that there was very little smell.
I applied this product two days in a row and now I apply every few days to keep up the color.
PROS:
Cheap
Nice, natural looking color (even for pale skin)
Hardly any smell
Easy to apply
CONS:
Difficult to find in stores (most stores had the mist, but I wanted the lotion)

This is probably my favorite drugstore self-tanner. It's a lotion and it has a tint to it, so you know where you have and haven't applied it, which helps you evenly apply it. I was pretty pale, so I was skeptical of using it because of the "Deep, Dark Color" thing, but since it said it was for all skin tones, I gave it a shot. WOW. I put it on at night, and the next morning I was so dark! Not orange at all, just a nice natural tan. It is pretty deep though, so it looks like you've been working on a tan for a long time. I thought this stuff was amazing, and I will definitely be re-purchasing it!!

This stuff will get you dark, and quick. I applied everyday for about 5 days and I was SO dark! Not orange at all, just tan. My husband loved it, lol. I made the mistake of exfoliating while I was so tan and turned myself into a splotchy, streaky mess. So, I've been trying to have it wear off so I can restart. The thing is, it's taking FOREVER! I've been exfoliating like crazy for two weeks and it's STILL not all gone! I had the snake peel effect on the middle of my stomach so it now looks like a gradiant scale from my belly button, outward. I can't wait until it's all off so I can start anew!
