Very easy to use mascara. Really loved the normal version but as I cycle and exercise a lot I bought the waterproof version. While I absolutely love the normal one I'm a bit disappointed with the wp one, it just doesn't hold up, I have dark smudges at the end of the day. With or without foundation, it doesn't matter, I end up with dark smudges all over my under eyes.

I cycle outdoors every day in rainy old England and have tried so many mascaras. This mascara is brilliant and the only one I buy. My lashes have a tendency not to curl up, but using a eyelash curler this mascara stays put and doesn't run even in pouring rain. It never goes clumps either. Worth every penny

This mascara gives amazing false-lash effect and stays on pretty much all day! Dies not clump, smudge or run. Gives doll-like lashes because of the fibres, which tend to flake off and fall into my eyes- very, very unpleasant experience!!
Overall, beautiful effect, but not worth the suffering for everyday use, maybe for a special occasion but definitely too expensive to splurge on it again

I guess everyone's lashes are different? For my limp, thin, medium length lashes, this has been the best mascara for the last 2 years or so! It's never too watery from the first time opened, doesn't clump unless layered too many times, soooo black, thickens and lengthens beautifully! I always have spares of this mascara in my stash coz chanel cosmetic is not available in my country, so i'm always terrified of running out. I always purchase the waterproof one, but tried samples of the regular one and it's just as good! Unfortunately the price is as dramatic as the results and i hate how the gold in the packaging flakes so easily (especially if you travel a lot with it)? Right now I'm down to only one spare and I'm planning to order one online first ($42 through a reseller) before opening my last pack.. That's how much I love it!!

At first glance people may think "Oh, Chanel designer brand and over priced s**t..." but no. Seriously, this is worth your money. If I had to choose one mascara and one only for the rest of my life this would be it. It does everything it says it does volume, length, curl and separation plus it's water proof! (So of course water proof makeup remover needed) I use 10 Noir and the brush is fantabulous (fantastic + fabulous); no clumping on brush or when applied and it lasts all day long! Depending on the look you're going on, whether natural or glamorous it will look barely there. By far one of the best mascaras out there.
NOTE: It is NOT sweat proof...not recommended for humid climates but formulas may vary depending on country.

i generally love my chanel products since i always think its more worth while and this mascara can be one of them. this mascara does wonders with lengthening but not much of anything else. a couple of swipes and your eyes will look more awake. this product is my every day use and i love it and it doesnt budge like it says, stays on for hours with not a single smudge.

This mascara for me is my 2nd favourite of all time (behind Max Factor Masterpiece MAX) I received a sample in a magazine and ended up getting about 2 weeks out of it! I then bought it and really fell in love.

It separates the lashes, makes them SUPER long and SUPER black, doesn't clump and doesn't smell awful like most cheaper ones do. My only negative comment is that it does seem to dry out quickly. I can only get a month from it before it starts to dry out. And once that process starts, it then will begin to flake off my lashes during the day. I haven't tried the non waterproof version so perhaps it is better in that regard.

This mascara makes my already long eyelashes look very dramatic. It separates nicely and is glossy black. People always compliment my eyes when I wear this mascara. It's super waterproof and I need that because I have watery eyes and this doesn't budge. The only bad thing about this is that it dries up in 3 weeks so it seems like I'm always having to replace it at the Chanel counter, but all mascaras dry up fast, so this is perfect. I keep going back to this one.

I really hate this! I had a free gift card from The Bay purchases and decided to splurge on this after eyeing it for a long time. It's terrible! No volume or lengthening whatsoever and clumps. Maybe it works on different types of eyelashes? It did less for my lashes than all the cheap drugstore ones I tried. Disgraceful for the price!

FYI = I have medium-thick, long, straight Asian lashes. Musts = great curler + waterproof mascara.

Pros:
First, this mascara is really great at separating. I don't know what it is about the brush, but it's amazing and I always use it to separate my lashes when other mascaras make them clumpy! Second, love the formula's ability to make my lashes look so dark! The black is a serious black. Third, you get really good drama, though it's not a super falsie look. I think the brush is too small to give you falsies, but with the separation, dark color, and the formula, you can get a great dramatic and dark look with this. In terms of separation, I think it's good but not anything that amazing. You can definitely brush on a light layer to get an everyday look and then go with a couple more layers for drama!
This is more for people who NEED a waterproof mascara, but this mascara never weighs my lashes down and always keeps my curl!

Cons:
It's $30, which... I mean, if you want a great mascara, it's usually in the 30s. My problem, though, has more to do with the fact that this is $30 and it dries up quickly! It's the weirdest thing because even when I take lots of care not to expose it to too much oxygen, it always happens. Others have noted the same, so I guess it's just a Chanel thing. Also, the packaging isn't that great. It looks chic and Chanel, but the gold in the middle always seems to start chipping off at one point or the other, and the mascara feels a little cheap... I wish they made it a little heavier.

Overall:
HG mascara! I love love love this mascara but it really annoys me that it dries up so quickly (that makes me want to give it a 4.8 rating lol). That bothers me to the point that I haven't picked this up in a while (have been trying out others and it's such a pain!) so I can't give a good estimate on how fast the mascara dries up. But even so, I always find myself going back to this lol Love the separation, drama, blackness, and its ability to hold a curl!

My cousin gave this to me as part of a gift--it's PERFECT. I've tried tons of 'scaras, ds mostly--this is the best for what I want. And it held up through me BAWLING constantly when watching the Lion King theatre performance... ! No panda eyes.

Also, it layers well, doesn't clump, separates perfectly, very very black colour...hmm what else.. volumizes decently (I don't like too much volume, actually)...lengthens...HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This is my all-time favourite mascara! The first time I bought it was at Duty Free when we stopped over at Bahrain. Not knowing the proper Dinar-to-Pound Sterling conversion, I thought buying this over there was a great bargain. It wasn't really cheaper, still around £21. Regardless, the mascara stays on unchanged for as long as 22 hours even after sweating overnight while partying - I'd apply it at 7 in the morning and come back home at 5AM the next day. Even after crying, this mascara never gives me the so-called panda eyes. It holds curls pretty well, unlike Rimmel mascaras which I've tried. The pigment is a strong black - you can tell it's an expensive mascara once you put it on. I love the brush as it separates my lashes - no need for a lash separator. I will definitely repurchase this mascara.

I LOVED this mascara. Due to finally moving out on my own I had to find a less expensive version. This gave me natural looking lashes with some volume. I love that the brush catches each of my lashes and doesn't clump.

I bought this mascara in a hurry at an airport, because it was recommended by the ladies in the beauty counters. At first, I thought the mascara was horrible, and definitely not worth the 35 US dollars it cost. But then, I gave it another chance and loved it. This is a great everyday mascara, and it looks natural. It does not clump and separates very well. It stay put the whole day, lengthens and holds the curl very well. I put this mascara on at 7am one day, went to school, got home, didnt reapply, went to a party untill about midnight and it still held out and looked great. The only downfall is the price. But definitely a hit. Formula is also great, not to hard to remove, no weird smells, not to thick and not to wet.

I loooove this--it's the best mascara I tried on my most recent mascara-testing binge (out of 5!).

Pros: Great look--really gets every lash and separates them, while lengthening and volumizing (not a ton of volumizing, but enough to make an impact, especially considering the level of separation and definition). Wears well--smudges a little under my eyes, but it's easy to wipe away (unlike the permanent gray smears I got from Tarte's Multipleye Waterproof).

Cons: Really hard to remove--last night I lost 2 lashes trying to get it off. It would probably be easier if I just used a makeup remover, but I've never had trouble removing even waterproof mascara with my oil cleanser before. In addition, I'm not a huge fan of the packaging--the square top makes it hard to twist the wand as I apply.

This is for Chanel Inimitable Mascara Multi-Dimensional Waterproof Mascara in #10 Noir
5 Lippies because:
It made my lashes lush and added length plus:
It lasted without even a smudge during a 4 mile round trip walk in 90 degrees plus with a bazillion percent humidity factor.

An utterly bomb proof mascara worth every cent of the many cents you pay for it.

Once upon a time I thought that this was absolutely the perfect mascara. This is the only mascara that I have ever used all the product to date as I am always looking for the next best thing (which I have found and have settled for with Cannonball by Urban Decay). Inimitable Waterproof is a very very nice mascara, it extends my lashes beautifully, darkens them, and does a great job at separately lashes. Downside, 1) it is not all that waterproof and I have bottom eye smudges (oily lids perhaps, but still!!!), 2) Price-----> love the way my lashes look but I don't think I can justify spending moola on something that is not all there, 3) kinda made my lashes feel dry (like most waterproof) 4) does not hold curl all day. I love this mascara but would never use in the summer, gym, beach. Maybe for school.. somewhere nice and cold.

Nice texture, doesn't clump easily but does nothing for sparse lashes. For the price, I'll rather go for Lancome. No repurchase for me!
