Personally I am not a big fan of this particular product,
and i find the smell of the spray strong, and a little
overwhelming.
Otherwise its not half bad.

This product is FANTASTIC. It costs a little more than I like to spend, especially when I don't know how is going to work. I still think the price is a little high for what it is but I will deal with it and definitely repurchase. With all oils, serums, shine sprays, ect my hair doesn't react at all or it looks incredibly greasy. With this one however, I got the affect that all those women in commercials with the wind machine blowing through their already perfect hair claim to get. My hair is incredibly dry and made much more so by all the torture I put it through in the name of beauty. It never looks smooth and shiny after blow drying...I mean NEVER! so out come the 15 smoothing products and the dreaded flat iron. With this product however my hair came out shiny, smooth and frizz free, completely! It also had that bounce that bobs should have that is usually lost with heat tools. I sprayed it very sparingly through towel dried hair (again, my hair is extremely dry, if your hair isn't you probably don't want to use as much) and then I just blow dryed it with a round brush and that's it! I used no other products, no hair spray or volumizer or frizz serum and it was beautiful. I can't stress enough how unheard of it is for me to use one product and be able to blow dry my hair to perfection. This stuff is an amazing hidden gem. Even though I'm not in love with the price, it still deserves every lippy because it is worth every penny.

This is basically a fancy oil sheen. It is pretty lightweight. As with any oil sheen or "shine spray", be careful not to overuse or your hair will feel too greasy and weighed down. Just the right small spray here and there and it makes it look glossy and smoothes flyaways. I like it after blow drying and before flat ironing.


You can buy the knockoff of this product at Sally's Beauty Supply, it is called GVP Shine Remedy and is an EXACT formulation of the CHI brand, only $7 instead.

I love this product! I have fine hair, however it is very thick as well. A stylist got me turned on to this a couple of years ago and I have been using it ever since. I blow dry and then either use my flat iron or curling iron for a more polished look. Since I do have so much hair, it can be overwhelming, when I use the flat iron or curling iron I have to section my hair into several large sections, then i section those into small sections that I run through either iron. Instead of spraying each small section before running it through the iron(it leaves my hair too greasy as this product is on the oily side)I liberally spray the large sections first and run a fine toothed comb through them to evenly distribute the product, then just run my smaller sections that I've made through the iron. This way my hair comes out shiny and frizz free, but not greasy.

This product is pretty good if your hair is looking a little dull and it needs more shine... It also helps protect against humidity, wind, etc and eliminates most of my frizz.

I found that if I put in too much, my hair starts to look really oily and greasy, so avoid too much if possible:)

I would definitely buy this again!

MEH average at best. It just does nothing for my dry coarse hair. Can't even tell it's there. I put in shine drops, blowdry and then spray it on before flat ironing. No added benefit I can see.

HG! Absolutely divine, I can not live without this product. My hair is curly, fine and thick and long. It isn't coarse or rough anything, pretty soft, but i have so much of it that it takes me about 2 hours to flat iron my hair. THIS CUT MY STYLING TIME IN HALF! Not only that, but my hair is so silky and shiny that it looks naturally straight. I spritz it on dry hair before flat ironing and my hair looks and smells amazing. I ran out of this and didnt purchase it for a while. My hair looked terrible the entire time, but i couldnt figure out why. I finally wisened up and bought a bottle of this and tadah, like magic, my hair was transformed into perfection once again. I now realize that i absolutely can not live without this product, and will never be without despite its price tag (about 19 dollars canadian).
The only problem i have with this is that it can make the hair greasy if too much is applied, and this is why I dont think it makes an effective heat protector, as you want to use sparingly. Heat protectors (the spray kind) are meant to be applied liberally. I use a different heat protector before applying this,just to make sure my hair is well protected. DONT LET THAT STOP YOU FROM PURCHASING THIS AMAZING PRODUCT THOUGH.

This is a very lightweight product which gives your hair a wonderful shine. I use it with my ghd flatiron and the result is amazing - as if I had just walked out of the salon. It is a bit pricey but absolutely worth it. Just love Chi Shine Infusion.

I have been using this product for many years. I always buy 2 at a time; so that way when one runs out I have another one on standby. Definitely a product that my hair can't live without!! Not only does it do a great job taming the fly aways and frizziness, but it also smells fantastic!!

My hair is big. Flat ironing takes me almost an hour and most of the time it does not come close to looking as good as when my stylist does it.

I've used so many products but never picked this one up. My stylist uses it on me every time she flat irons me so how did I not jump on this!??

The product has a lovely, but not over powering scent.
It makes my hair very shiny, smooth and not at all crispy.
I can go several days without washing. Some other shine sprays make my hair too oily looking after a day or two.

My salon had a sale and I got this for 10 dollars. Wow. I actually went back and bought more.

First of all, let me say that CHI products always smell AMAZING. Now, I purchased this a few months ago, and I still have TONS of this left, so you definitely get what you pay for. I use this after straightening my hair, and it gives my hair a really nice shine, without making it look oily. This is a must for people with fine hair/oily scalp, because this shine spray is extremely lightweight and smells incredibly good.
Will repurchase <3

I love this as a general setting spray. Even if I don't use heat styling tools, it helps smooth my hair and keep frizz at bay, without any hairspray-like hold or stiffness. I like the smell, also. Will definitely keep this in my arsenal.

I hated chi products before, they just never did anything that they claimed on the package for my hair. I only bought this because I had just purchased a chi iron and the the s.a reccommened this after asking for a heat protector.
I love it, its not too heavy as my previous spray from s-factor but still gives a lovely sheen.
the smell, i hate! but I can bare with it because I like this product's effectiveness.
Dont know why they use that scent for womens hair products?
Update:
The smell is putting me off... I almost dont want to use it anymore.

UPDATE: I had to lower the rating to a 3. This is just too heavy for fine-medium hair. I think it is better suited for course hair. It sprays on in mist form and feels like "textured water" in my hand. It has the typical CHI fragrance (men's cologne). I cannot spray this directly onto my hair because it will look very greasy even if I just spray once. Instead, I spray once in my hand, rub my hands together, and then apply it evenly in my hair before flat ironing. It doesn't give my hair blazing shine but it does make my hair silky. If my hair is a bit poofy after blowdrying then this product will tame that down. I will probably not repurchase because the possibility of it becoming too greasy is just too high. I am still searching for a shine product that is weightless and this is not it. I bought it for $14. for 5.3 oz.

I have medium length wavy hair. It is easy to blow out but its a hassle to keep it straight as it likes to curl back up by night's end. I used this and first off my hair was like silk as soon as I sprayed it in. No tangles, very straight and shine shine shine! I sprayed the product on my wet hair and combed it thru. Then did a quick blow dry with a round hollow brush and after a few sweeps of a GHD flat iron and the results were really very beautiful. I am super pleased with this product and would highly recommend it. And for about 14$ it's really worth it!

I bought this tonight at Target on a whim. When I got home my hair was starting to poof up. It's naturally curly and I straightened it out this morning. I sprayed a little of this on my dry hair and it instantly laid back down and looked smooth and shiny. I am so impressed! I can't wait to try it on my hair before I blow dry it. Definitely worth the money.

This is an amazing product. It really does what it claims. It protects my hair from heat and makes it really shiny and smooth. Also, I used it before straightening my hair a few days ago and then went swimming. usually when i swim, my hair gets very crunchy and tangled. But when i used CHI Shine Fusion before swimming my hair was soft, smooth, silky, and detangled. So this product not only protects your hair from thermal damage, but also from chlorine.
