This powder is the only foundation I ever use. It is a full coverage powder and never looks dry and flaky UNLESS I don't use moisturizer first. It keeps my oil at bay and lasts throughout 9 hour shifts from 6pm-3am with usually no touch ups. I can't even wear liquid foundation anymore because I hate the way it feels all tacky on my skin since this feels so comfortable. I apply it using the sponge it comes with for a full coverage look. I am between shades nc20 and nc25 and switch back and forth as needed. This powder has been my makeup staple since 2010 and I will never stop repurchasing! i would still buy it if it were $50 CAD rather than $32, it's just that good.

I bought the Mac studio fix plus powder to just mattify my moisturised, shiny face. This powder seemed to do just that if not better. A month or so down the line a strange rash appeared around my mouth and jawline (not my problematic area). I just got worse and worse. it was kind of hard to point out what the cause was. it got so bad that it was difficult to smile. skin would flake off, and be visibly dry and sore.

I then decided to stop wearing anything on my face except moisturiser. My skin very slowly started to improve, it took two weeks and a half to feel a bit better. Then started trying one thing at a time to really single out what the cause of such a rash was. Because I loved this powder I could not wait to wear it on again. Boy!!! was that the wrong choice. The rash appeared again around my mouth, I was already trying to heal all the damage from the previous rash. And now I have the same rash again, only from two application of the powder and I left a gap of 3 day in between uses.

Completely disappointed in this product as the finish was nice when applied and lasted pretty much all day. I will now have give my skin time to heal as I did notice this powder over time makes your skin look kind of old, dull and dehydrated, also in my case a sore rash :( I will not be using this again. waste of money for me, as it's a high end product.

I'm currently using Eucerin replenish cream on my skin and that has helped a million. I recommend trying a little bit first, to be sure it suits your skin. And my new powder is Kick Assâ„¢ Instant Retouch Pressed Powder definitely recommend checking that out. Sugar Candy!

I'm a beginner in this makeup game, and someone had recommended that I purchase a MAC foundation to achieve that flawless, airbrushed look I had been dying for. So, on Christmas Eve while I was doing some shopping, I decided to stop into Dillard's to mark that item off of my Beat Wish-List. A very nice employee helped me find the correct shade and even talked me into buying the matching press powder. And golly, when she applied that foundation on my skin... I looked like a goddess! I was uber stoked because that drawling, agonizing search of looking for the right foundation was over. Or so I thought... A couple weeks go by and everything is peachy until I notice a horrendous rash blotching both sides of my jaw line and underneath my chin. I have problematic, oily & sensitive skin and I had been using a lot of products to alleviate my break outs. My sister makes organic toners and moisturizers, and I had been using this L'Oreal exfoliating scrub. With my drug store foundation, I had never seen a rash as abominable as this appear on my face while using the same products to clear my skin. So, I gave the MAC foundation the benefit of the doubt and stopped using the L'Oreal scrub. I figured the scrub was having a chemical reaction with the organic products. However, I began to notice that the rashes were getting worse as I still wore the foundation. And just Friday, while I was preparing for school, I applied a tip of foundation on the end of my earlobe, and now there's a rash on the end of my earlobe. When I used the exfoliation scrub and apply the organic toner & moisturizer, it has never left a rash on my earlobe because it's never applied there. Therefore, I believe that the foundation is the link to this despicable rash on my already-terrible skin. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this rash? And also, will Dillard's accept the powder and foundation if I returned them?

This is literally one of the only foundations that does not make me look cakey. I have acne scars and large pores so usually when I want a full coverage look, I end up looking super cakey! yet with this, I can achieve a full coverage look and look flawless ^_^

It has not made me break out either so thats a plus! I recommend going a shade lighter than your skin color cuz it does oxidize and turns darker within a couple hrs or once you set it with a setting spray

tried literally 10 powder foundations before this one, and this is my favorite. my skin can look dry and gross, but then when I apply this it works wonder and my skin looks smooth and beautiful. although if I do not use a primer and setting spray with this, my face does get oily. also works well with a light BB cream underneath. works wonders

Switched from the mac mineralize skinfinish natural to this and boy am i glad i did. I always use this over my liquid foundation to set it and it gives me a flawless finish. I try to not go overboard with it though as it can appear very powdery if u use too much on your face. Its also good at covering rred spots. I havnt used it just by itself but i kinda want to just to see how itlooks

Guess I jinxed myself when I first reviews this and said I didn't experience any breakouts....every since I bought this I started getting a abnormal amount of cysts, I'd wake up and have 3 huge cysts on my forehead for example. I really loved this and this made my skin look so smooth even when I was having a breakout, so if you're skin isn't acne prone then I really recommend but if you have a habit of breaking out then I would really watch out. This has been the first foundation that has eve broke me out.

Long story short: this is my holy grail foundation.
Most of the time I used it just on its own, does the trick of evening my skin and helping with redness, sometimes I need concealer to cover some spots but thats with every foundation. On days I want more coverage, I just wear a thin layer of BB cream underneath and it gives almost full coverage. On its own, it's super lightweight and keeps me fairly matte (I have combo skin), but I do need to retouch a couple times where I get oily which isn't a big deal since I find that with every foundation/powder. It's a tad expensive (not compared to other high end foundations though), but it lasts a long time, and that's coming from someone who wears it every day! It's also super fast and easy to apply, I just apply it with a powder brush and it takes about one minute to do my whole face.
I'm not sure why other people find it breaks them out, honestly I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, and I've found this is one of the only products that DOESN'T break me out!
I've been using this (with a mix of other foundations) for about 8 years now and I plan on using it for a long time!

This is my absolute HG powder. It took me years to find one who's color, consistency, and coverage worked for me. I have very fair, normal skin and it gives me such a pretty airbrushed look. On most days I wear it over a liquid but even when I wear this all on its own my skin looks perfect. It requires no layering and the compact lasts a very long time. Only a couple sweeps with a brush and you're as matte as can be. The color selection by MAC is unbeatable especially since they've introduced NW10 for us fair skinned girls. $27 is a steal considering what you get.
