Firstly, the price is amazing. That's the reason I picked this one up, because it was $2, I'm broke, and I needed mascara.
I'm glad I bought the cheap mascara this time around. This stuff is perfect. Normally I go for a brown mascara, but that wasn't an option. It doesn't matter, though - this is pretty natural-looking.
This mascara makes my eyelashes look like they're naturally dark
It holds a curl
It defines the lashes beautifully!
and most importantly, it doesn't flake easily.
I will say that it does smudge easily before it's dry - but it's not a problem afterwards. I will repurchase this mascara over and over again! Especially since it's 1/4 the price of most mascaras.

I'm really surprised at the bad reviews, because I love this mascara. I like a bold lash look, so I usually use several coats of mascara, letting it dry between coats. Sometimes I will use a thin coat, for a natural look. It's a very rich, opaque black, gives me great length and volume. Best of all, it doesn't flake on my cheeks which is a pet peeve I have with most mascaras! My lashes are already somewhat long because I use Careprost (although I didn't get the dramatic results some people get with it) the difference between my bare lashes and when I use this mascara is noticeable. Sometimes my lashes can look a bit clumpy if I'm not careful but that tends to be the case with most mascaras. I try new mascaras all the time, but for some reason I keep coming back to this one. Probably because I don't notice a big enough difference between high-end mascaras and low-end ones. Sure, there may be better mascaras out there, but this one does the job for me and is dirt cheap.

I tried the Black Radiance mascara because I read great reviews about it...However, after a few minutes of wearing it, my eyes were BURNING and started to water...like they were on fire !
I would not recommend this mascara for anyone with sensitive eyes.

An impulse buy I totally regret. I know its tiny and cheap, but it sucks! The formula is extremely wet and smudges all over the place. I have decent sized lashes, so I assume that is part of the problem. Maybe its better for shorter lashes? But seriously, it was a big mess for such a tiny size mascara. Also, made in China...for people who are looking out for that sort of thing.

Comes in a long, slender tube. This mascara is a perfect fit for my Trish McEvoy Petite Planner. So I bought just to carry with me. Today I left the house without mascara. What a pleasant surprise. It came through giving me well-defined, lengthened, and fuller lashes. No flaking or smudging. Although Covergirl LashExact and VolumeExact are my HG, will always carry this for mascara emergencies. Cost $2 at CVS.
