SHUT THE DOOR!!! This stuff is beyond stellar, super-ceedes FANTASTIC!!! Lands firmly in 1st place of best skin care products I've ever tried/used (and I've used a plethora, to couch it on the low side!). The shower cream in the same line (Neutrogena Comforting Butter Body Wash) is tied with it, making these two products the top two of any, from any brand, price range, product type, etc., that I've ever used..seriously, e-vah used.

The texture is heavenly and perfect. Liked whipped butter that's been warmed to just malleable and with a scent that is perfectly warm and sweet. The fragrance reminds me of a much toned-down version of Yankee's Buttercream Candle. It's scented enough to give a perfect waft of fragrance rather than feeling like you've buried your head into a vat of too-sweet buttercream frosting. The hydration lasts and lasts! I usually need to apply, re-apply, and repeat several times a day but not so with this. I get added hours when I pair it with the above referenced shower butter wash.

My absolute HG body cream! Now if only they put it in a container like the body wash to provide as little contact with air and light and skin transfer bacteria, this would be beyond perfect!

After reading the reviews on this product I decided to give it a try. I was looking for a good winter body moisturizer that could be applied easily, without leaving a heavy residue. I though the product did a wonderful job of moisturizing the body, but I wasn't too fond of the scent. It was very sweet and sugary. The scent is fine when you wear it alone, but it clashes with whatever other scent you may have on including bath soap and body wash. Don't even think about wearing your favorite perfume with this scent. Bottom line, it's a great moisturizer, but would be greater without the scent. If Neutrogena starts selling an unscented formula I would buy it again.

This is the second time I've bought this cream- it is the dreamiest, softest cream I have ever used and it's cheapish- only $8 for 6 oz whereas 6-8 oz of cream at the department store is at least $20 some. The smell is cocoa-buttery but not overpowering- very feminine. I love this!

I found this dirt cheap at CVS today. When I tested it I wanted to lick my finger because it smells so good. Sort of... sweet and buttery and sugary. It absorbs quickly and moisturizes well without being greasy. I'd definitely repurchase!

Love my feet again! After years of creams and vaseline to my feet, they are finally soft and touchable after just a few nights of application. The warm sugar smell is a bit annoying and cloying. I can tell that I will go through a container in just a few weeks. It is worth the money to have nice feet so I will repurchase.

What's not to love? Pudding consistency that spreads easily, pleasant fragrance, not greasy, absorbs quickly, and moisturizes well. Definite repurchase.

Love this lotion- it does have the consistency of pudding but smells divine. I think it moisturizes well, too.

I don't use it in high humidity simply because it tends to take longer to absorb and can be a bit greasy.

It keeps my skin from being dry for several days. I use this product, and then use a firming lotion in between, which is a system that works pretty well for me.

Super product, especially for one from the drugstore. I'd buy again.

I've finally found a drugstore brand that I like. It actually moisturizes efficiently and smells good! It's not greasy, absorbs well, and works great. It does have the consistency of puddiing. The whole experience is like using frosting (without the stickiness) - it smells like butter, sugar, and there's chocolate from the cocoa butter. I will definitely buy again.

I was disappointed in this cream--the scent is really strange. It is supposed to be a light, butter cakey scent but I smell a little bit of butter and mostly a metal smell. The metal smell becomes more apparent when I apply it to my skin. Scent aside, I think the texture of this cream is good and it sinks into my skin quickly. The price is a bit higher than most DS creams because it's from Neutrogena. I would not purchase this product again because of the strange scent.

I've bought this several times and will continue to buy - smells delicious (subtle but yummy) and moisturizes really well. Price isn't too bad either. I agree with the previous reviewer who said the consistency is sort of like pudding....but maybe that's why it absorbs easily and isn't greasy? It's also lot cheaper than a lot of body butters out there! I definitely recommend trying it!

I love this cream! I would say it is the consistency of a vanilla pudding rather than a heavy body butter, but I like that. Sometimes creams are too light and sometimes body butters are too rich and heavy, but this one is perfect! I love the scent, it smell delicious and yummy, but not overpowering. It melts into my skin and keeps it nicely hydrated. I loved this so much, I bought the Lavender and Chamomile one too! This is truly a great buy and I can't believe I was spending more on body butter at Sephora or elsewhere when this one is truly wonderful!

Sorry to knock down the reviews on this, but I'm so-so on this lotion. The smell is DELICIOUS... but for some reason it just doesn't "melt" into my skin how I think it should (it feels kinda greasy and then makes my hands cold, which most likely is due to the fact that I'm in Alaska, but it seems to make them *extra* cold). I'll use it up, but won't repurchase.

This is a cross between a butter & cream. I love the texture and the scent is to die for. A creamy, buttery scent. It lasts a long time too. I put it on and even a few hours later (including through handwashes) it was still there. My skin was sooo soft too.

Lovely, light body butter. I would call it a cross between a cream and a butter, in fact - I love the texture, to me some body butters are too thick to spread and never quite sink in. This is light enough to really sink in but heavy enough of a cream to really moisturize. And I can't say enough about the delicious scent - smells almost edible! But in a really great, not very strong way, so you can wear just about any perfume or body spray after using this. It has a very warm, almost vanilla scent - but not quite. "Butter cream", like frosting, but not sweet, does that make any sense? This will be a HG product for me.

I have dry and easily irritated skin and I am allergic to most perfumes .I love this stuff I use this daily just after I use the light sesame seed oil. I do feel a little damp for awhile but then it dries and I feel baby soft. I really help the constant dry skin feeling.

Bought this at CVS on sale a few days ago and I really like it.
The smell is indeed a sort of creamy buttery, and the texture is just out of this world.
It moisturizes like mad and doesn't leave any sort of greasy residue.
My skin isn't dry enough to use this as a daily moisturizer in the summer but in winter this would be divine.

RIS from a generous swapper, the scent is "Butter Cream." While it has a faint butter/sweet scent, the texture is really the star here for me.It is truly like soft butter and sinks in nicely. I've been using it after my shower for a couple of days now and love it!!
I will definitely re-purchase!
