I have naturally curly hair, when I put this on my hair it turns it all crispy and full of tangles. Definately not for me.

I have very thick, coarse, medium curly hair. Normally my hair looks like a big, frizzy mess even with a ton of gel, and in the process of styling, my curls normally come undone with more of a wave than a curl. This is the reason why I paid the high price of Japanese Hair Straightening for 5 years. After deciding to go back to my curly roots I found that I would either tie my hair back or straighten weekly myself. This product defines and holds my curls beautifully with very little product or prep. Like mentioned before I would normally have to put a lot of gel on my hair. This product I lightly spray on my hair and gently scrunch so that it gets to all the curls and doesn't disturb the structure of the curls.

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for this product. It really is great. I discovered it a year ago and haven't gone a day without it.
I have long, thick, wavy hair that is prone to tangles and major poofage. No matter what products I used and no matter how long I spent styling, my hair would inevitably end up looking like I had been in a windstorm within 30 minutes or so. Even worse, there was never a way to try and fix it because attempting to run a brush/comb through my hair ends up with the major poofage turning into something horribly beyond imagination. Now, Joico's Curl Activator is the only styling product I use. I just spray it in and maybe spend a minute scrunching and let my hair dry naturally. I end up with soft, bouncy waves and lots of shine....lasts all day and stays tangle free.

I LOVE this product.
I already swear by anything Joico, but this one is just great :D
It keeps my curly hair tame and bouncy looking all day long.

I'm amazed at how well this product works on my thick, wavy, and mostly unruly hair. This creates lovely waves, and does a nice job holding them. I use this in conjunction with Joico's Joiwhip and together they are HG material for me. Even overnight, the next day I still have beautiful, soft waves.
