I like this "ok". I purchased from a blogsale a few months ago mainly because of the hype. I'm a sucker for hype on blushes. It's a very pretty shade, a pink with an undertone of plum with a load of shimmer. On my skin tone (NC45/NC50) it gives that "glow" people love to achieve. More of a spring shade for me if I am wearing it alone. It would work best on my skintone if layered with another blush or a creme blush. Overall nice, but nothing to write home about.

I had sellers remorse when I sold this. I wanted it back and after a long search, I finally have it in my hands again! Depending on what brush you use, your end look will be different. With my 187sh brush, it really doesn't look like I have anything on my cheeks, but when I apply this with my 168 blush brush it looks like just the amount of color. To top it off, I used my Refined MSF to highlight, and I love the look! The blush itself is a mix of raspberry/plum with gold shimmer, and I do prefer shimmer in my blushes most of the time. To add on, I love the pearlish packaging with this one :D It's gorgeous!

The color is a beautiful pink with gold pearl. People compare it to Nars Sin but it is nothing like Sin. Sin is much more plum. Afterdusk is extremely smooth in texture, almost like butter. I've never seen a Mac blush like the ones in the Moonbathe collection. This blush fades very quickly and you have to build it up to get good payoff. When it fades, you are left with a gold sheen on your cheeks. It is pretty and understated. However, I would not repurchase.

Another one of my all time favorite MAC blushes. Afterdusk was released with the Moonbathe collection and it was one of the first things that grabbed my attention when I hit the counter. It's a lovely plummy blush that has gold shimmer, but what sets this apart from most of my plum toned blushes is that this has very neutral undertones ... it's almost a plummy brown kind of color. I absolutely love the shimmer, but you have to definitely take it easy with this blush because it has a *ton* of shimmer .. too much on your face looks like a disco ball. With smokey eyes and just a smidge of this to add some pop .. that's about all you need. Another great MAC goodie in my stash!

LE, 2007 Moonbathe Collection. Lovely powder blush in a rosy, almost plummy-raspberry shade, with subtle golden shimmer. Similar to NARS Sin, but this is a tad deeper in the pot and more sheer (less pigmented) in comparison - but still well pigmented overall. Gives my AAB/NC25 cheeks a natural-looking rosy flush, although it looks plummier in the pan. Comes in the usual MAC blush packaging - clear domed fliptop and black plastic casing.

I have been wanting this color for quite some time. I finally got my hands on it a full year after its release. The color is best described as a Rasberry with Gold Shimmer. A word to Shimer-phobes" This is VERY SHIMMERY". I am one to embrace and prefer shimmer in my products as I find it flattering when properly applied. HOWEVER, once the color fades, you are left with quite a bit of gold shimmer on your cheeks. I'm in my 20's and DONT MIND this, but I imagine others might. I find that the best way to apply this is with a VERY light layer of rasberry cream blush and a swipe of Afterdusk on top as a highlight. Add some bronzer and this color really pops. (Skintone is NC25).
The packaging is gorgeous as it is pearlescent and off white.

Looks pigmented on the pan, but when applied its really hard to get the color. For reference, im NC 20-25.
I love the gold shimmers so i just layer this with Dollymix or other pink blushes. I love the LE packaging! really gorgeous!

I swatched this at the counter and fell in love, but was in a hurry so I decided to go back later. Big mistake. By the time I got around to it it was nowhere to be found. Finally a gracious soul CPd this for me from a CCO and I am sooo glad. I heard that Nars Sin was similar so I bought that and love it but there was still an empty place in my heart, lol. Now that I have both I can confirm to myself that they are different enough to warrant owning both.

Afterdusk is more pink and has more gold shimmer than Sin. It's also fairly lighter than Sin. I find that it's much more wearable and harder to overdo on my NC25 skin. The staying power is great and the shimmer is more glowy than glittery and of my 15 or so MAC Blushes this is my second favorite after Sweetness Beauty Powder Blush. Would repurchase Afterdusk if I ever had the chance.

Afterdusk suprised me, usually what MAC offeres up for blush is pretty week in my opinion but I like this one. Its a sheer subtle raspberry with some golden shimmer. Some blushes can look like too much on my pale skin like BeneFit Dallas and Nars Sin (Sin has to be applied VERY lightly or I look to rosy), Afterdusk reminds me of them but goes on much more subtle. I think this is one of the better MAC blushes as far as actual pigment and being flattering. But as I said I am pale, I dont think this would flatter dark skin becuse its a bit to suble. Personally, I'd repurchase.

I found this at CCO a couple months ago, hoping it would be a nice shade for the summer. It's SO pretty in the pan and I love the packaging. This is my only MAC blush so I can't compare with others, but it takes a few times to get the color to show up on my skin, but I guess that's why it's called 'Sheertone'. ha. I have to use a normal blush brush and it looks pretty good for a SUBTLE blush. It's a nice alt. to my normal Clinique blushing blush in precious posy. I would give it 3.5 lippies. Definitely would not repurchase. EDIT: I'm knocking this down to 3 lippies because I hardly ever wear it because it's pretty much just gold shimmer. oh well, it's pretty to look at

Oh I love thee, Moonbathe packaging!

I love this blush and I adore the Other Worldly blush that came with the same collection. Afterdusk is a raspberry colour with gold pearl and creates an elegant sheen when applied. It is a sheertone but I actually find this pretty pigmented. It adds a wonderful pop of colour to my cheeks when I am feeling anything but fresh and awake.

I hope mac repromote this - I brought another on ebay. There isn't really anything that comes close in the current line.

Gorgeous raspberry plum color that goes on as a lovely flush with golden shimmer. I fell in love with it at first sight, and although I don't really buy backups of cosmetics, I went online and searched high and low until I did! <3

From the 07 Moonbathe collection, this plummy-pink with golden shimmer looks absolutely breathtaking in the pan and when dusted on cheekbones at first appears to beplummy pink when layered carefully. A few hours later, however, all I see is the gold shimmer. The bottom line on this is that you need to layer layer layer to get the color, and once you get the color the way you want it, it fades and then you're stuck with shimmer and not even subtle glowy shimmer. Hello, MAC, can I please have some sheertone with my shimmer???? Plus, it's really messy in the pan - one swipe and there's blush everywhere. I should put it up for swap but I just like it too much.

Its a gorgeous color in the pan, but I agree with everyone here about exactly how much you have to apply for color to show up. I like glitter and shimmer so it doesn't exactly bother me but in other cases and blushes from MAC, you can get more instant results with colors like mocha and then add shimmer with a highlighter. But overall, I like the color of this blush and would buy again if I were to run out, and if I could find another one.
Its a gorgeous shimmery purple in the pan. It works well with my golden-toned skin and doesn't wash me out. Its a nice, cool color that isn't too coral or too pink or too anything for that matter. I have dark brown hair and golden eyes.

the color of this blush is so nice, however it takes a lot for the actual color to show up. and then its glitter overkill. if i apply the regular amt of blush that i apply, i can only see the shimmers, not the actual color :/ it will be going up for swap :( nc 35/latina/dark hair dk brown eyes.

I got this in a recent swap and couldnt stop looking at it when I opened the package- its such a pretty color! As described by other ladies, its a rosy plum with gold sparkle. I have fair-light skin tone (BE1.2) and this showed up just fine on me using my MAC 116 brush and it seemed to last all day. Love the off white colored packaging. Im sure this will last forever since I have several blushes that I alternate, and since its LE i wont be able to repurchase anyways (unless its rereleased). Very happy with this one:) UPDATE- Found that you really have to pack this stuff on for it to show up and I dont have the time for that so I swapped it away.

Afterdusk is a truly gorgeous shade in the pan. Shimmery raspberry with a gold sheen. I was so excited when i first got it. Unfortunately, i was dissapointed by it firstly because i needed to pack on *loads* of it using a normal blush brush (not a skunk brush) before it actually showed up on my skintone (GGG NC42), and secondly, it barely lasted a couple of minutes. I usually can have my blush last me the entire day because I don't have oily skin nor do i perspire that much. It's so sad since i was really loving the colour so much. Wonder what went wrong in the formulation. Hopefully MAC will re-produce it in another collection but this time in a better, longer lasting formula and possibly more pigmentation.

I love the color of this blush. It's a great pink-purple color with a slight gold shimmer. I find that it's a good everyday blush. The one thing I don't like it it's not very pigmented and can wear off easily. When I want a more dramatic effect I mix this blush with a brighter pink blush for a more intense color.

My first MAC blush ever, I found the texture kinda hard to work with when I first started, but I think it was because I had a crappy blush brush.
