Age: 30-35   Skin: Acne-prone, Dark, Warm   Hair: Brown, Kinky, Fine   Eyes: Brown

I bought this together with the glycolic acid pads and the acne spot treatment.
I recently broke out badly, mostly due to stress. Had large cystic, painful spots. Nothing was working and, to my disappointment, I discovered that Panoxyl which has been my go-to acne treatment for years has been discontinued.
I found the Malin + Goetz range at a Space NK and decided to give it a try.
Unlike some of the reviews I've read, I don't find the cleanser to be drying at all (but I have combination / oily skin). Normally, my face dries out pretty quickly and feels tight after cleansing, but I found that with this cleanser my skin doesn't feel as uncomfortably tight and dry as with other ones. I've been using it for three weeks twice a day, and together with the peel pads and the spot treatment, my face is finally clearing up.

The price is a little steep for a face wash, but I'll definitely repurchase. It's got a good balance between being gentle while still effectively cleansing.

UPDATE: I've almost finished my bottle and have purchased another one (even though I contemplated buying a cheaper face wash since this one is quite expensive at £25). After using it for almost 2 months, my face has now completely cleared up. I still get the occasional zit, but nothing near as bad as it was towards the end of last year. I think the face wash really agrees with my skin (and vice versa), so I don't think there is any value in fixing what isn't breaking (out).
I also like their Glycolic acid pads. It seems as if the combination works very well for me (as my skin now also has its glow back ;-)).

This cleanser was too harsh for my skin, leading to irritation and unfortunately, breakouts.

I received an overly generous sized sample of this as part of the Barney's Beauty Bag. I've used it ever day for a week now and really do like it. My skin is super oily and this cleanser is not overly drying nor does it leave my skin feeling heavy. It washes beautifully and leaves my skin feeing quite balanced - love that! I've used it with my hands and also used it with my Clarisonic. Great either way.

At first I thought the price was a bit high but then compared it to my current cleanser of choice which is Boscia's Clear Complexion Cleanser. Ounce per ounce the Malin & Goetz grapefruit face cleanser is a better value.

I will purchase the full size once the sample runs out.

Main ingredient is the same as shampoo...say it's for sensitive skin. No way. Left red welt like marks on my face. I really wanted to like this. Lip bam is their best product....the mojito one.

I actually really like this product. For the past month my skin has been crazy due to the cold Melbourne weather and the fact that my Ren Mayblosson and Blue Cypress Facewash has changed formula and just doesn't do the job anymore AND I tried a new foundation that was horrible! The love SA at Mecca suggested I try this facewash as it is gentle just like Ren and won't irritate my combo sensitive skin. So far I'm very happy with it as it does cleanse gently and there is a lot or product (a little goes a long way!) The price is also decent too especially for the amount you get. My skin seems to be calming down and the blemishes that were created by the foundation are slowly going away. Hopefully this will be my staple facewash!

This is THE cleanser that everyone should own. PH balanced for all skins (well, that's what the bottle says!), this cleanser cleaned my excessively oily face to a T! After moving out to LA from TX, my skin did a total 180 on me. From comfortable to an acne-prone, oil slick, I couldn't use what I had been using before (Jan Marini) since it was too irritating (plus, I got really tired of all the steps in order to get a nice complexion). After reading up on sensitive skin care lines, I decided to try something a little more gentle; a sort of back to basics regimen. I've noticed my face is comfortable again, without the embarrassing shine and sporadic pimples popping up in the most odd of places. It also has the great lather and the scent isn't overpowering at all. This is a great line all together (really in love with the Vitamin E moisturizer, shampoo and conditioner....hair is so soft and silky!!!), and it's nice to be involved with such a young and innovative company.

I was actually quite surprised at the lacklustre reviews here.

I'm on my second bottle now and this cleanser is really the gentlest and yet most effective that I've tried. I've gone through all sorts of cleanser phases and this emerges tops (so far). I use it morning and night and anytime in between when I feel grimy and my skin has never felt dried out. I don't use makeup in the daytime so I can't comment on how well it removes makeup but I do use Clarins UV Plus 40 sunscreen and it washes it off adequately (though admittedly I also use Ren's Jojoba Scrub to exfoliate which is superb by the way).

All in all I think I'll be repurchasing this for quite a long time because it just leaves me skin leaving so clean and yet not tight and dry. I would recommend for sensitive skin types especially.

I got a few samples of this and I was really excited to try this line. I really really liked this cleanser a lot. I used it only in the mornings b/c it seemed too mild for the end of the day's m/u and sunscreen removal. I liked how soft it felt on my face and most of all I liked that it didn't dry my face out. The grapefruit scent was invigorating and refreshing. I have combo/dehydrated skin and this didn't bother my skin at all. The $30 price tag is hefty for a mild cleanser so b/c of that I wont be buying the full size but if it weren't so expensive I would definitely buy.

I got a set of travel sized products from Malin + Goetz, but I have to say, this really doesn't impress me. It smells great, and it's not doing anything bad to my skin, but it's not worth the price for me.

The grapefruit stung my eyes and irritated my skin- and I'm not even that sensitive! I got this for free but no, I wouldn't buy it.
