Extrait: This is kind of unpleasant in the bottle, but on my skin it is nice. It smells like a honey-scented lotion, or like a honey handsoap that could be purchased at a health-food store. It's not super-literal or overly sweet, which is a good thing. I'm a little disappointed I don't get any orange flower, since that was in the list of notes. There is also no sillage, and I can only smell it when I sniff my wrist. Not bad, but surely not good enough to buy.

I'm surprised by the reviews on this fragrance. I like this a lot more than Fredric Malle d'Hiver and Ginestat Botrytis. This reminds me so much of Keiko Mercier Loukhoum with a little less powder and It lasts much longer than any Honey fragrance I ever tried. Definately considering buying this one.

I didn't like this at all, and I wouldn't call it Honey either. I got the EDP sample and I thought I was going to love it, I usually love anything sweet and gourmand, but as a reviewer below mentioned, this has a baby powder quality to it, and in fact, after about 20 minutes thats all i could smell! and it kinda made my stomach churn! I'm holding out for a while longer to see if it changes, otherwise, I'm washing it off! I don't think Ive EVER done that before!

Honey, indeed.. but this one has an special quality to it. For one, it has a baby powder innocence to it. Also, and my olfactory recognition is not perfect, but I sense some amber in this that seems to set it ablaze, and this yields a type of incense quality. I rather like it.

YUCK! I ordered ten samples from Ava Luxe (and she generously included two extras), and this was the only one that got an immediate yuck from me when I opened the vial. I tried it anyway, though, and instantly regretted it. This stuff smells like artificial butter flavoring atop a foul sticky sweetness. Bad, bad, bad. Many hours later I cautiously sniffed again (I rarely scrub anything off unless it's making me sick, and that almost never happens), and to my surprise smelled sweet, golden honey and delicate beeswax. Unfortunately at that point it was so faint that I could only detect it nose-to-skin. Sad. And then it was gone.

I also really love honey scents, like the two previous reviewers. Hee, and also wish my skin smelled like honey... ... anyway ... The unfortunate thing is, this smells nothing like honey. It is very sweet and lasted through at least two showers, but it smells almost like... butter to me. Not like honey at all. :(

I really hate to have to do this, but it's true, this is by far the worst honey scent I've ever tried. I love all other Ava's creations and you can only imagine the high hopes I had for this one. See, I too like the reviewer before me LOVE honey note, in fact I think it could be one of my most favorite notes ever, but this is too sweet, too cloying in fact and in a very shrill way... In my opinion, honey is supposed to be slow-moving, yummy and soft... golden, even erotic. This honey on the other hand, is way too out there, too high pitched and too loud (and that in a messy sort of way). When I think of honey, I think of that soft, golden gourmandy sort of scent, the scent I so wish my skin always smelled like. But wait, this is not even the worst part yet; this honey developed the most awful scent in its drydown on my skin... unspeakable nasty! - and to top it this is the longest lasting fragrances I've ever come across. I took a good scrubbing to it and it still hung in there... it has a mind of its own I'm afraid.

I sampled the Eau de Parfum today and it's a buttery soft sweet fragrance that is more of a warm syrup than a honey scent. I've never smelled a honey like this; Baklava comes close ---which is a Greek honey/nut buttery pastry. I am disappointed as I haven't been able to find a honey scent that smells like just honey. Pity as it's one of my favorite fragrance notes ever.
