Works very well in the summer...not so much for winter or fall...it's very light...can't tell if anything is on my face...enough coverage to cover flaws...doesn't make skin cakey at all!!!

I finally bought this after seeing loads of people rave about it and I don't see what all the fuss is about, it's no better than any other powder I have bought from the drugstore just in a slightly higher end tub and is more than double the cost. It looked okay when I first applied it but after an hour it looked patchy and awful, I tried with different primers but nothing changed the outcome

So I used this when I first came out and love it. I was around 16-17 at the time and it was the perfect easy natural makeup. I never had breakout so my skin was pretty nice. Flash forward to now in my twenties I started getting moderate to severe acne I tried bare minerals again and I started to notice my pores would be so clogged and thinking this was the culprit I stopped using it. I ran out of my favorite foundation last week and figuring I hadn't had any breakouts for almost a year (thanks to acne.org) I decided to give it another try. BAD IDEA. Clogged pore city and it made my skin texture horrible and uneven. I only used it a few days! Needless to say I threw it right in thrash. Acne prone skin beware!

Ok, it doesn't cover everything. It doesn't offer any "radiant effect". It is expensive if you don't use it. And you need an expensive quality brush to get good results.

But I have been using this for nine years (and I'm half way through my second one - it lasts forever!) not as my only foundation but the one I can't any more live without. I have a dry, sensitive skin that doesn't usually have bad blemishes but rather nasty red rashy breakouts and sometimes exema, and when this happens and I can't bear to go bare faced, I'll turn to this. Or when my skin looks good and I only need a very light touch. Or in the summer when it's hot and I want a lightweight sunscreen (I've never had a sunburn with this, not even on some all day desert trips in the Middle East) - this works perfect for me. I've even sometimes put it on children when I've forgotten the sunscreen. It also doubles as concealer; I'll take tiny bit on a concealer brush and carefully pat on any visible blemishes.

I usually use this with same brand's BB Primer, which I also can recommend warmly. This works perfect on any moisturizer and that's also why it's perfect for irritated, dry skin, when you have to use voluptuous amounts of rich creams to keep itching at bay.

This is not my only foundation but the one that will stay in my makeup bag forever!

This powder has been my go to.for years. It is easy to apply and blurs away imperfections while leaving skin looking natural. It is fairly luminous. It stays put for about 4 hours before you may need to retouch. I tried the matte version and it was tetrible. It settled into pores but the original version does not. Overall I will keep using this. Its the best I can find.

This is my go to foundation! I've been using it for years and love it just as much as when I first purchased it. Every time I've tried another foundation to try to reduce the costs or out of curiosity, I always come back to this one. I have fair dry skin, so I've struggled to find a foundation that suits my skin tone as well as doesn't dry out my skin. I use the color fairly light, although I could use the fair as well, but I feel like that one makes me look paler. I love how it gives my skin warmth and the finish gives you almost a glow. It blends beautifully, so you don't have to worry about lines or it blending with your neck and hides my imperfections. I struggle with a pink uneven-skin tone and love that this one helps even my skin out. People always comment on how beautiful my complexion looks. I love that it also has SPF. I used bareminerals foundation on my wedding day and my face looked flawless in the pictures with no editing!! I was thrilled!! I tried using other foundations, from department stores to drug store brands and nothing makes my skin look the way this does. I love this foundation and will definitely stick with this for life! I also love their hydrating tinted gel foundation as well for days that I want a lighter coverage. Definitely would recommend bareminerals to those trying to find a good foundation! One container lasts me almost 5 months so that helps with the steeper price tag. Also if you join bareminerals email list you can receive coupons that give sometimes 20% off or other discounts.

I don't understand the poor reviews! I like the coverage that I get without the heavy and sticky feeling of liquid foundation. It's also a lot lighter to travel with, than a heavy glass bottle.
The brush that came with my sample kit is a little too itchy for me, but any other brush can be substituted easily.

Bareminerals is the best foundation I have ever used, before trying Bareminerals I used L'Oréal. I saw the commercials for longest time, I couldn't justify spending that much for foundation and mineral veil also but my husband said go for it since then I buy nothing else. It last quite awhile so it isn't anymore expensive then what I had been buying. I can control how much coverage I want, honestly I forget I have make up on, it's very lightweight, its very natural looking if you choose the shade that matches your skin, no streaks, or lines from not blending properly its so easy to apply, I have done it without a mirror and it still looks awesome. Swirl, tap, buff done. It's easy to carry in your purse or bag with click/lock sifter. I have severly dry skin due to genetics unfortunately but with Bareminerals no patches or flakeiness at all. That probably has to do with my skin care routine or I might see patches and flakes. The only thing that makes it work even better and last all day, is the primer, I never need to touch up, but if you do it doesn't get cakey or settle into the creases. I have had those days where I have fallen asleep without washing my face and it's still on in the morning, close to 24 hours later. Everyone has their favorite foundation, it's a personal thing. One thing is true no matter which foundation you choose a good skin care routine in an absolute must in achieving the desired results from any foundation.

+ Helped my acne
+ You can build up great coverage
+ Dont feel the product on your skin
+ You dont have to go and buy a new one every 6 months, mine has lasted for over a year

- If you use too much it gets orange, but when its sunny, that makes you look like you have kind of a golden tan going on ;)
- The packaging isnt the best
- Doesn´t make you matte

I have this product in the matte 02 fairly light. I have oily and some acne (teenager) and this product really helped my acne! When I went for a facial last spring the girl at the counter told me about this product and i bought in. I still hasn´t run out of my first one, even though I have used it for at least everyday for 8 months, so you get a lot for the price. The coverage is really good, but not full, but that wasn´t what I looked for. You can builed up the covarege really much, but then the color (on me) turns kind of yellow, so I do not recommend that you do that unless that color works with your skintone. I tend to find that the best way to use it is to use a thin layer all over the face and they go in with a concealer brush and apply more directly on the pimples and redness and they using a paper towel to gently whipe away any access foundation. It doesn´t leave me matte, but I haven´t tried the original one, so I dont know what Im comparing to. Really recommend this to anyone with problem skin, it will help your skin much more that any other full coverade drugstore foundation.

I love this stuff!!! For my birthday this year, my mom bought me Bare Escentuals foundation, concealer, and mineral veil in medium as well as a concealer brush and a powder brush. This matches my skin perfectly! It also only takes a little bit to cover my skin, and will go a long ways! On top of that, it took me maybe ten minutes tops to apply, and my skin looks flawless and smooth! I'm extremely pleased with the results of these products and hope to find more Bare Escentuals makeup in the future!
