This is the best hair thickening cream that have ever used. I have fine wavy hair and most product don't work or by the next morning my hair is left really limp and weighed down with product. I apply this to towel dried hair to my roots and also a small amount through the rest of my hair. I blow dry with a paddle brush and achieve a nice amount of volume and control. I prefer to wash my hair every other day and this product still has hold in my hair the next morning without a weighed down feeling. If I knew this was going to be discontinued I would stock up like crazy. I love this product and want everyone with fine thin hair to try it with a blow dryer. This is so much better than anything else for very fine hair.

I totally agree with the previous reviewer. This product - called Fat Hair pomade - has done what I've wanted other styling products to do. Don't let the name 'pomade' scare you - it's not a grease tin! I used to like KMS Molding Paste and Garnier Surf.. but both have changed their formulas, and they both make my hair greasier and do not give the effect I want.

Which led me to purchase SAMY FAT HAIR on a whim. Oh what luck! Gives me the surf hair I love. Thicker. Matte but not looking awful dry. Not greasy. No residue or buildup apparent on my dark hair. I can get height and thickness and a medium level of moldability with this product.

This is what the website says it does: http://www.samysalon.com/samy_fathair_thickening_pomade.html

FAT HAIR "0" calories THICKENING POMADE. This revolutionary, weightless formulation, infuses hair with Vitamins, Soy Protein and Panthenol to increase hair thickness while adding texture, body and shine. Perfect for fine, thin hair, making it soft and touchable without added weight, residue or build-up. Ideal for refreshing your style throughout the day.

IMO - it does what it says it'll do. Love it. Would recommend it. Would repurchase!

Retails for around $7.99. I found mine at Walgreens. In a red box with the other Samy "Fat Hair" products.

I have fine hair, but a lot of it, that tends to fall flat and not hold style very easily. It also gets greasy easily and gets slightly frizzy in wheather that even hints of humidity.

This pomade did what I've wanted every thickening paste I've tried to do; it provided the type of voluminous texture that holds a style but is still light, moveable, and soft. It isn't overly waxy or oily and doesn't weigh down my hair. It provides just the right type of hold and adds manageability to my hair. I was especially pleased with the way it disciplined my widows peak and finally made my sideswept bangs lay nicely without beating them into submission or plastering the underside down.

I applied this on towel dried hair and only to the roots, scrunching it in and really getting it onto the scalp. I did not apply it to my length.

It provides a slighty matte finish but does not make your hair look lifeless or flat. Just not overly shiny.

Comes in a 1.85 oz (50g) red tub which makes the product easy to dispense. I used about a dime size worth, a tad smaller, on my just below shoulder length hair.

The fragrance smells like....a barber shop, I think...but does not linger. I only noticed the smell when I stuck my nose in the tub.

I will update after a week or two when I've had the chance to use it more but this product really gave me a great first impression, especially for a drugstore product.
