The only other primer I have tried prior to this product is the Napoleon Perdis one, but I have to say, I don't think the Bare Minerals one is for me.
It goes on feeling greasy, and although it leaves my skin smooth, it is a greasy kind of smooth that I don't really like. I don't really have any other comments on it - I don't think it has much of an effect on the staying power of my make up, there is no noticeable difference when I skip using it.
Will definitely be shopping around for a primer with a nicer feel for next time.

I really really like this product. I sometimes use it by itself or with my hard candy skin perfecting primer. This stuff. Smoothed my skin out and also gave me a much longer wear time. I use the ready foundation and it looks ahhhhmazing! Much better than anything else I've tried. Would like to buy again but it's a tad pricey. But if between now and the time I run out I haven't found anything comparable I will DEFINITELY get this again!

Fantastic when mixed with under eye concealer. Glides on and makes my entire face feel smooth as a baby. It's hard to get it all out of the bottle when you get down to the last l/4. I tap it out onto my palm so I can get as much out as possible. You can also use it on any dry spots for relief. I love this product.

This is my go-to primer. The silicone-based formula goes on smooth and clear, and doesn't settle into any lines. It does take a bit to dry, however, and I notice if I haven't waited long enough that my Ready Foundation gets weird lines in it from the primer. However, it definitely prolongs the wear of my makeup and just feels nice going on the skin.
My one gripe with it is the bottle. The pump dispenser is a bit difficult to push when you just want a little bit more to come out. I wish there was more control with it so as not to waste any product. It would be great if they could put it into a squeeze bottle like the one given to you when you do the Kit - no product was wasted there!
But overall, this is excellent and I've already purchased a backup.

I received a sample size of the bare essentials prime time primer in a starter kit and wanted to love it, but it broke me out. I had cystic type acne when I have never had that before! I finally figured out after a few times of stopping use of this product that it was both the bare essentials foundation and also this primer that was breaking me out so badly. It also didn't make my makeup stay any longer than normal.. So if you already use a moisturizer under your application of bare essentials powder foundation .. I don't see the benefit of using this at all.

I didn't care for this. It's gel like substance is hard to spread, it doesn't make much of a difference in oil control. There was no difference in the smoothness of my skin texture. I do like the pump on it, but that's it. I bought it once, wouldn't do it again. There's much better options elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this. But it just didn't make a difference to my makeup.
I go a small same, maybe a weeks' worth of this from sephora after receiving a tiny sample from sephora when I had placed an order with them. This comes out as a clear gel. Very light and feels very smooth almost like a oil texture. It absorbs into the skin very fast, and since it's clear you won't have streaks or anything. It def helps my foundation go on smoother and makes my face appear flawless, but it doesn't make my foundation stay on for my long days. *inserts sad face

NW10-15 (neutral-cool toned, very fair), blue eyes, Color season is True Summer, Baumann Skin Type is OSPW.
I used this in conjunction with the BE regular foundation. Both were samples from Sephora.
Having tried a number of primers (my HG NARS Pro Prime, Make Up For Ever HD, MAC Prep + Prime, Korres Silicone Free, Lancome La Base Pro, Cinema Secrets Ultimate), this one did not stand out, for better or worse - however it did go very well with the BE foundation. I would recommend trying it as a sample if you are in love with the BE Foundation just to see if it makes a positive difference using the two products as a pair. However, I found that my other silicone-based primer, Cinema Secrets, was cheaper per amount and gave the same benefits. I also liked using MAC Fix+ spray as a primer to dip my foundation brush in and wet the BE foundation before applying. A combination of these 2 gave me the best results with the foundation, even a nicer longer finish than with this primer, but the primer was still good on its own.
I like to wear sunscreen every day as part of my skin care routine. I have combination skin, and don't like to add too many layers underneath my foundation, so I love it if my primers accomplish these goals:
1) creates a smooth surface to apply my foundation and makes my foundation look better than without the primer;
2) takes the place of moisturizer for my dry cheeks;
3) acts as oil control for my T-zone;
4) has enough sunscreen to take the place of an additional sunscreen layer;
5) and makes my foundation last longer than without the primer.
Did this primer do that?
1) yes;
2) yes;
3) decent but not amazing oil control;
4) does not have sunscreen : (
5) yes, my BE foundation lasted longer with the primer, but lasted the longest with the aforementioned combination of products.
I love the finish and light-weight coverage of this primer/foundation combination, but will not repurchase for two reasons:
1) My other silicone-based primer, Cinema Secrets Ultimate, was cheaper for a larger amount
2) Probably won't continue to wear BE (although I love the foundation!) as it breaks me out from time to time and I can't seem to find a color match

I really like this primer. I use it with Bare Minerals Matte foundation and I did notice my skin looks and feels smoother. I don't have any blemishes or overly dry areas so I guess i don't totally need a primer, I just feel like it keeps my foundation all day.

Works great with bare minerals original foundation. I have oily skin and was nervous about getting clogged pores but I have been using this for about a month now and so far, so good. It is expensive for the small bottle, but I only need half a pump to cover my whole face.

There is nothing great about this primer. It does it's job decently and feels very smooth, with no odor. Although, it makes me extra oily throughout the day (i have combination skin). I personally have large pores and this primer does nothing to help conceal them. I have also tried the Oil control version of this product and do NOT recommend it. I would much rather use this for a primer. Cute packaging and sanitary nozzle, you need less than one pump for your whole face. Altogether a good product, but not amazing. Would recommend to anyone not willing to splurge on a primer, $23 for this is a deal.

Great primer. It is a tad expensive though, but it definitely works. It keeps my makeup in place all day without weird creases or anything. It get some acne occasionally (horomonal) and it hasn't affected that at all.

I bought this product in a trial size verson which came with the mineral vail powder and a makeup brush. I broke out terribly all over my face, mainly on my forhead and I am still trying to get my skin back to normal. Normally my skin is acne free just a pimple here and there so when I got a major breakout for my first time there was no other explaination. I liked this product, it gave me a great foundation for my foundation and made my skin nice and smooth with the tiniest amout. I would definatly use this product again if it werent for the breakout.

It doesn't smooth out pores that well, but it glides on silky smooth and when combined with be mineral makeup it leaves your skin perfectly velvety. It definitely helps you use less mineral makeup and keeps it in place all day/night. I'm on my third bottle of it...I'm thinking of trying smashbox primer next but I'm not sure how well it will work with mineral powder....Hate the pump...I end up having to scrape out the last third of the bottle with q-tips b/c it stops distributing full pumps of primer at that point. It would be much better as a tube...but the tubes of BE products always seem to crack open and the crimp and dry out my product. For the amount of money I spend on their stuff you'd think they could get their packaging issues together.

This product did nothing for me. A few weeks ago, I thought it broke me out so I stopped using it. Today I tried it again cos my skin seems better. But on the way to work, I peeped at the rearview mirror, and the pores were SO apparent. What a waste of money this is. Now I can only hope I don't break out again.

I got the sample size tube with the bare minerals kit and I just was not impressed with this at all. It felt weird on my face and did absolutely nothing to minimize my pores. My makeup didn't go on any smoother after using this either. Every so often I would try it again hoping I would get better results. Nope, it still does nothing for me so I eventually just tossed it. I'm glad I didn't spend a lot of money buying the full size.

The only other primer I have used is the L'Oreal makeup secrets or whatever it is called, and it doesn't even compare to this. This primer glides on like silk and when used under my bb cream, leaves my skin with a flawless, glowing finish. People comment on my complexion when I wear it! I have large pores and mild acne, but with this as my base, my skin looks beautiful. I am still using the small sample size that came with my bare minerals kit from almost a year ago. A little goes a very long way! HG for me!

I bought this product because it was recommended to me by the girl working at Sephora. I just can't find the prefect 'fit for price' primer. I tried this and did not like it. It peels off throughout the day and makes my skin feel odd. It doesn't feel tight, nor does it feel greasy, it just doesn't feel right.

Awesome product- HG primer!! I got this in a small size with the bareMinerals Your Starting Lineup set. I was so impressed with the way it performed, had to go back and repurchase a full size bottle! You need less than a pea-size amount to cover your entire face, which is great because you can make the bottle last a really long time. It does do a great job at keeping all my foundations and concealers in place, and even keeps my other primers in place for my entire day, which is over 17 hours long. I would recommend this to anybody, any skin type is fine when it comes to this primer. Prime Time doesn't do the best job of controlling my oily skin, which it says it does, but it keeps my foundations in place and helps keep oil from ruining my face, and that's enough for me! I love that it also cooperates with any type of foundation- liquids, mousses and powders go great with this product! It didn't do much for my skin, but I didn't break out and I have small pores anyway.The price is all right, a little on the expensive side, but it is much more affordable than the Smashbox primers, so it's a better deal. I will definetely keep repurchasing!!
