Worst moisturizer I have ever used. After putting it on, if I touch my face, in the area I touched there would be white crumbles of the dried moisturizer coming off my face. It was horrible because if I wanted to put makeup on then every time I swiped my face with a makeup brush there would be more white crumbs/flakes on my skin. My skin did feel hydrated though and it did not break my out. I just don't understand how my face could be hydrated if the product is just drying up on the surface and flaking off.

Overall, I like the feel of this on my skin. The smell is okay, and the texture is creamy and absorbs easily. My major gripe is the god awful packaging. They give you a little scooper spoon to get the product out, but if you lose it, you're screwed. You then have to dig in the jar, and get a ton stuck under your nails just to get some out. The end result is wasted product, and at the high sticker shock I don't like to waste. I wish Dior would spend less on fancy pants packaging, and come up with a more user friendly container.

I got this as a deluxe sample at Sephora. Normally my skin is very oily and I don't need a a lot of moisture but being that I moved to the North and it's winter, I decided to give this a shot. Although it has an SPF in it, I use it at night because while the consistency is thick, it is moisturizing without being heavy. The great thing is that it absorbs into the skin really well so I would definitely use it during the day, when my skin is feeling particularly dry. The downfall is, it's Dior so it's expensive. I have seen the full-size jar and it's pretty large but I'm sure I can find a comparable cream for less once my sample runs out.

Thankfully, this was a Sephora sample. I was seriously unimpressed by this product for the following reasons:
The cloying, yet apparently 'fresh' scent that gave me a headache within the first 30 minutes of using it. While it was non-greasy, it just didn't seem to be hydrating enough for my NC skin. The final, but no less disturbing insult was the charming bright, red bumpy rash which appeared all over my face within several hours of my applying this. Given that this was the only product to touch my face today, the jury is in. The only +tve about this 'creme' was the SPF of 20.

I'm not 100% convinced that this isn't just a(nother) prettily hyped and marketed face cream which is seemingly light, yet ineffective.

Back to the drawing board, Dior.

I had severely oily skin all my life, then all of a sudden it started to get dry-flakey-itchy and felt like my face was cracking if I smiled. Since I have acne prone sensitive skin, everything I used to moisturize broke me out. A friend of mine gave me samples of this dior cream and it was amazing stuff. It didn't irritate or cause breakouts and just melted into my skin. It is very rich but not heavy, hydrates so well and has a pleasant scent. The dry flakies are gone and my skin has never felt better. My only complaint is the cost, it's pretty expensive for my taste but it works so well. When all my samples are gone, I'll definitely purchase. I'd rather spend extra money on something that works. If you have sensitive dry skin or combination skin, this is a great product to try and a little goes a long way. If it was offered in a pump, the product would be perfect.

Despite the packaging and price I will probably repurchase this -- it's the perfect cream for normal/combo skin that tends to be dry in the winter and oily in the summer. It goes on perfectly smooth but not greasy and absorbs almost instantly, leaves behind a very hydrated feeling. I got a sample of this and used it for several days until every drop was gone; a little goes a long way. I noticed no breakouts or irritation but my skin was noticeably softer. I used this AM and PM so depending on $ I may start using it AM only (because of the SPF) and continue my search for the perfect night cream. If you can afford it I recommend giving it a try. I got a .54 oz pot on eBay so that would be a good place to find a travel or sample size if you don't want to splurge on the big tub.

This review is for the light cream version. This is in general a great cream which hydrates well without being greasy but unfortunately suffers from one downfall – it balls like no tomorrow. And that’s not even over anything. When applied to either a clean face or over treatment products, it will ball. Under some liquid foundations it will result in flaking but not so much under powder foundations since there is less rubbing. Such a shame since its velvety matte finish is great but not so great if you have to pick bits of fluff like bits off your face. The glass jar is not practical and the use of a cotton swab is necessary to get the cream out of the farthest reaches of the jar once you hit the bottom. Absorbs well without being heavily fragranced.

I got this from Sephora for one of those free gifts they give out, man this was such a STEAL!! ive been using this for atleast 3 months now and its still going strong! its a small jar, probably .65 oz. First time i used it, it felt soo sleek on my skin and then after i could barely feel it, its light and smells RICH!! DELICIOUS!!! and i also love that it is SPF 20. I'm considering on buying when this runs out, which to the looks of it will last me another 3 months, but i also might try something new, i love new products. DEFINITELY will recommend buying. (:

I adore the way this product feels; it feels expensive. However, it loses alot of points because of the jar and the fact that the sunscreen isn't higher. While it moisturizes, I don't think there's anything special in there to justify the high price.

Im reviewing the UV milk that comes in a pump bottle, and not the jar one. I love it. it is my HG. Im oily, and this really does not add any more oil and keeps me less oily longer than other moisturizers (weird, because it does not claim to be mattifying). I just wish that the tube from the pump would be longer to get all the product from the bottom of the bottle. This might not be a good choice for someone with drier skin though.

I got this as a Beauty Insider's reward from Sephora, and it is the cutest little jar I've ever seen! Besides that, it's great that it has SPF 20 and it does hydrate your face really sheer though...does not feel greasy/heavy/gunky, just smoothes. After a few minutes I forget that it was on my face. I don't know if I'll ever purchase it. And I dont know how much it cost. But I think it so far, it has a nice light fragrance to it as well.

This is a wonderful cream for combo/oily skin women - it absorbs really well and does not leave skin looking shiny or greasy at all. Considering it has spf 20, that is really an amazing thing. My favorite spf moisturizer up to now has been Olay's Protective Renewal Lotion spf 15 .... but I wanted to try this one (Dior Hydraction) because I started using the Hydraction eye cream and was very impressed with it.

This cream also feels nicely lightweight, does not clog my pores, and actually seems to make my skin feel and look firmer. Even after I wash my face, my skin seems firmer and has more resiliency.

It also does really well under my makeup. The pot is a heavyweight pale blue-tinted glass, and could be designed better (I'm not fond of the small opening at the top as far as reaching the last bits of cream down inside the corners of the pot goes), but I like this cream so much, that I willing to overlook any jar-related design flaw. Overall I am very pleased with Hydraction Visible Defense spf 20, and will repurchase.

What I used Before: Olay Daily SPF 15 unscented and Dove Daily SPF 15 lotion (both under $10 each)
Specs: 50ml, octinoxate 7.5%, oxybenzone 2%, titanium dioxide 1.83%, octocrylene 1%, sulisobenzone 0.5%. Faint fresh scent which disappears in minutes.
Consistency: whipped air creme you need small scoop
Overall Rating = 4
Price = 5
Packaging = 4 (jar is darn heavy but i can understand it's to keep the product fluffy and keeps it's consistency)
Buy Again = Yes (if i can't find anything else but I LOVE VICHY)
I purchased this because:
1) I wanted something all season (winter/summer) which will moisturize but not cause me to break out
2) Word of mouth and a very helpful Sales Associate recommended
3) Wanted something that will not melt off my face along with my powder
4) preferred unscented but the scent is actually quite lovely...plus the souffle-light consistency makes it really easy to blend and u don't need much

Results: I have combo skin. My cheeks aren't really dry..but my t-zone is quite oily. I liked how it has higher than SPF 15 (only SPF 20 but still better) and doesn't cause too much shine. It's also good under makeup. For moisturizing it does a good job as well, and it's definitely lighter than Dove and moisturizing than Olay lotion. I purchased the eye creme as well. I feel, for the extra money i put in, it does last longer but i'm not sure if it's THAT much better than other drug store brands like Vichy. I am impressed but how long it's lasted....i usually go through daily moisturizes in 3-4 months. You definitely use less. Buy this only when Dior counter is having a bonus pack! Also compared to Shiseido, Lancome, etc...this moisturizer was a bit cheaper.

I've had a jar of this for a few months, almost all used up. I've never had any breakouts from using this, I have fairly normal skin. The smell is ok, doesn't bother me much. Reason I don't like it much is because even after using it for a few months and moisturizing everyday, I still have dry spots between my eyebrows and nose area. Comes with a spatula so you don't have to dig ur finger in it, pretty heavy jar. I wouldn't buy again cuz of the price and the fact that it didn't do much for my skin.

This is the worst product i have ever used.More or less the 30% of this product is parfume the other 30% is oxibenzone and the other 40% useless ingridients. And the useless is good!!!.I m afraid that with the oxibenzone and all this perfume you will end up with acne prone skin.

I'm a Dior fan since I purchased this product-period. I used for a longtime Yon-ka ultra-protective 25 but now my skin needs an extra boost. And this one is amazing- not only my skin is looking less tired, I went out on a really cold windy day and I didn't feel any blisters attacking my face. A good barrier this cream and makeup goes on smoothly and holds up. This is winter. If my makeup holds up this summer this product is a keeper. Also get the eye cream too. I love the fresh feeling of it. I'm a happy camper:)

I'm so sad...this is oil slick city in warm weather. Doesn't hold my makeup.

EDIT: oh oh...this is making my skin super greasy now. I'm so sad my skin is telling me no more of this. Still greasy. Bye Bye dior;(

This is my first Dior skincare product and I am very pleased. My face is very soft, smooth and moisturized after I use it. It has no strong ordor (which I hate). The spf is an added bonus. The price is not bad at all compared to most higher end products.

I am using the light version of this cream and I love it! It has a very slight delicious fragrance and is also deeply moisturising, unlike some other moisturisers for oily skins!I have oily combination skin and this is the perfect texture for me - not too light, and not in the least bit oily! The packaging is very stylish but not very enviromentally friendly and as I travel a lot, I find the glass jar heavy! It contains broad spectrum spf and also has a matching eye cream in spf 20 which is fabulous! I haven't broken out once using this cream and nor do I turn into a shiny mess during the day. However, it costs £36 for a 50ml pot and as I cannot afford a separate night cream I can't see this pot lasting long :-( I dearly love this cream but I can't justify spending so much on a face cream. However, if I find no cheaper alternatives then I will definately buy this cream again!

Once again I am well pleased with this new addition to the HydrAction line from Dior. This version is the "light" creme as the rich creme is not available yet in the USA. Has a broad based sunscreen spectrum for UVA/UVB rays. I find the light creme rich in texture so that no more than the size of a pea is ample enough to cover your entire face & with that being said the 1.7oz/50ml jar will last over a year to finish since it's a day creme making it well worth the $46.00 USD it cost. This creme is very moisturizing without the greasiness (just like the HydrAction Sorbet Gel Lotion), & with the summer approaching that is a important factor. Elegant packaging that includes 2 seals for product freshness, equiped with a plastic spatula for application to the face as to avoid dipping fingers into the jar. I am loving this creme so hats off to Dior cause a new star has been born!
