I LOVE this lotion!! I love the calming, pleasing scent & I love how moisturizing it is. The price is around $6...very reasonable and worth every penny. The only drawback would be the packaging. It would do better in a squeezable bottle instead of a bottle with a pump. That way, no product would be wasted. Other than that, it is awesome stuff! Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me, find this wonderful lotion anymore though. :-( This has always been my go-to lotion...it is my favorite. I just wish they sold it in stores in my area (North Florida). I'm wondering if it is going to be discontinued. I sure hope not! I may have to start ordering it online. :-\

Strong smell, not exactly lavendar but similar to a bath and body works cotton or linen scent. It isn't greasy but I still don't care for it. It dries to a powdery finish and my hands feel dry again soon after using.

I got this is in the travel/sample size. I think it's a very good quality lotion for a store brand item. I only wish the smell were a little longer lasting and podent, because I prefer the heavier scented lotions because I like to still be able to smell fresh after a long shift at work. However, this is a very good lotion for right after a shower/bath, even if you are getting ready for the day instead of winding down. I haven't used it before bed yet, but I found that for getting ready, it went on smooth, dried quickly, no residue, didn't leave me feeling overly greasy nor did it make my skin feel like skid bumps the way some cheaper lotions can do. Overall, decent lotion.

While I'm not a fan of traditional lavender scents (like L'Occitaine's or Aveda's), I do love this and J & J's bedtime bath/lotion for babies.

This is, as other reviewers have noted, a soft and subtle lavender scent; I think the vanilla really smooths out the edges of the lavender. The scent is also unobtrusive and gradually fades (as opposed to some lavender scents, which can become cloying after a while).

It's definitely relaxing as well and as such is terrific to use before bed. As for its moisturizing properties: I'd say it's probably adequate for normal skin, but might not do the job for very dry skin. This is definitely one of those lotions that you use more for the scent (and the relaxation it brings) than for the moisture.

my favorite lotion, especially for summer. moisturizes without feeling heavy or greasy, absorbs quickly. the scent is light and pleasant PERFECT!

Love this lotion! Goes on smooth and isn't greasy. The smell is amazing in my opinion- not at all powdery or too floral- it's soft and sweet smelling like lavender and vanilla. Not particularly cheap for the amount you get, but a great product overall. I recommend it!

I might buy this again...but I don't buy a big bottle. I purchase the $1 bottles at Walmart or Target, and have it in my purse.

I recall purchasing a large bottle of this years ago and couldn't handle it all over my body - but when I catch a little whiff of it, I like it. So I only use it every now and again on my hands/arms and it does a good job, and is not too strong for me to put up with through the day.

I like how lightweight this lotion is and despite being lightweight and fast absorbing, this lotion is still very moisturizing. The reason that I gave it 2 lippies is because I cannot stand the smell. It's so overwhelming and strong that one whiff gave me a headache and made me nauseaous. I don't understand how it can be called melt away stress when it smells so... strong. I gave my bottle away to my friend who likes the smell. I will not be repurchasing.

I LOVE this lotion. I was at Target and was looking for the Aveeno version and couldn't find it so I picked this up. I love the scent of lavendar so this was right up my alley. This is not sticky at all and after it absorbs into your skin it just leaves a super soft feel behind. I find that even after I've showered and washed it all off (in the morning) the softness is still there (after having slept with it on all night). I really like the packaging of this product. It comes with a pump which is great but what's even better is that you can lock the pump. You can "open" or "close" the pump so if you take it when you travel it doesn't squirt all over your bag. Overall great lotion, would def. buy again! :)

I love this lotion, it absorbs quickly, smells great and the price is right. I keep a bottle at my desk at work (the handsoap in the bathroom is god aweful drying) and as soon as my bottle of lotion at home is done this will replace it.

I really love this lotion. I feel so relaxed when I use it. Ever since I got it, it has been a nightly ritual to use it before bed. I instantly feel calm and like I can breathe. It is plenty of moisture for me, I will have to see if it is enough during winter, but for spring/summer it is great. Mu skin is not dry though. I love the pump packaging, it is so easy to use. I took off one point because the lotion is not completely natural. I would prefer to use a more natural product, but can't stop using this. Also the bottle is not very attractive, so I keep it in the cupboard. It is very reasonably priced.

Generally speaking, this is an alright product. Neither good nor bad. There's just not enough going for it that would make me want to buy this again. I've had it for over a year and haven't managed to finish that mini. The scent is barely noticeable (which I usually like subtle fragrance) but nearly undetectable. I didn't feel anymore relaxed or less stressed lol It did sink in quickly (which, 95% of my lotions do anyways). But it's not organic. I don't care for the smell of lavender anyways, and the purple bottle is not something i enjoy staring at (prefer spa green, clear, or baby blue packaged things). I'd rather it be a little more with the price (it is cheap), with an innovative packaging and decent smell. And organic. That would make for a very decent lotion. But this fails in all of those, so it's a pass. Sticking with my favorite Mi Voga Acai lotion as that is seriously the best, and keeping my Jergens Cherry Almond, Mountain Ocean coconut lotion, Vaseline 3 in 1 Botanical Blast, Ocean Potion aloe lotion, and the Alba lotion. The rest doesn't come close to that. This is just a mediocre lotion, that my dad could even use and get by with. <--That's not a good thing, as it sucks the luxury out of a product and makes it purely functional.

I have no complaints about this product's performance. It moisturizes as well as the other lotions I have in rotation and is creamy in texture, not greasy.
I guess I'm just not into the fragrance. I don't love it by any means. It actually reminds me of the greasy icing flowers on top of supermarket bakery cakes. Boring. I actually wish it was more of the true lavender scent which is actually kind of medicinal. Pretty packaging, nice idea. Not for me.

I bought the tiny travel size of this product for my desk at work. The scent of lavender is really relaxing and it's a nice little pick me up on those super stressful days. It doesn't do too much in the way of moisturizing imo but it does smell great and is moderately hydrating. Has a tendency to be a little perfumy for my taste but I enjoy it for the calming aspect of it-- I even purchased one for my boss ;) I enjoy this as a novelty product and for very limited use but it's by no means part of my regularly scheduled beauty regime.

Until J&J discontinues this, I will never be caught without a bottle in my cabinet! I love anything lavender and the chamomile just makes it that much better. I put this on right as I'm getting into bed and it absorbs very quickly with no greasy feeling left behind. The smell is light and not obnoxious. I own about 20 different VS lotions, and out of my entire collection, this is probably my favorite! It's a little expensive for a "drugstore" brand, but I only use 2 pumps at a time, so this has lasted quite awhile. Would I buy again? YES!!! MOST DEFINITELY!!

Lavender is a scent I cannot resist! I first saw a travel size of this at target. It's packaged in a purple squeeze bottle...when I squeezed out the lotion..it's purple in color too!! The texture is very smooth and creamy. It's not greasy at all and it absorbed into my skin right away. My skin felt so smooooooooth it was heaven! Even my coworkers would stop by my desk just to get a pump of it~ I became addicted to this lotion very quickly...only to find that when I use it over and over again throughout the day...it feels like there's a film of wax building up on my hands... I had to wash my hands to get it off! This lotion is great if it's not used excessively. I am currently on my second bottle but I find myself trying other lotions perhaps to replace this one..don't know if I will purchase my third..

Sadly, I am not impressed with this product. While I adore the fresh scent, I find it is not really moisturizing at all. Every time I've used it, I find myself reaching for another lotion because this just doesn't do the trick. Woman can not be quenched by smell alone! It's as if the product seeps in, and then evaporates. It's not greasy, not too thick, not too thin...but it's just gone. The scent doesn't linger that long either, which isn't a deal breaker. But the non-moisturizing factor is.

Plus, I find the price to be too expensive for a drugstore lotion in such a small container. While I love the scent, I won't be buying this again because it just doesn't work for me.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this lotion!! This is my HG body lotion and I have repurchased several times (and will continue to do so). The smell is heavenly, it sinks in quickly, and leaves skin soft and pretty well moisturized. I have to moisturize right out of the shower or else I am itchy for the rest of the day. This lotion is great and prevents my skin from getting dry or itchy all day long. I use the body wash (also HG) as well and hope neither one is ever discontinued!
