I can't believe that these are touted as being "extra gentle". After the first use, I got these really irritated red patches under both of my eyes. It was very embarrassing to go out in public with these red patches (that also hurt!) and they took several days to go away. These pads also do not do a very good job of getting eye makeup off at all. You have to wipe them over your eyes like 100 times to get just standard mascara and eyeliner off. It's not as though I wear tons of eye makeup, so it shouldn't be that difficult to remove. If you have sensitive skin, STAY AWAY! You'll feel like you dragged sandpaper over your eyes and you'll look like it too.

The pads are huge. And the container I had dried up way to fast. I gave it 2 lippies only because I like the soft pads, but not enough to repurchase them.

These have become a staple for me. I wear UD Primer Potion in Eden, eye shadow, MUF waterproof eyeliner, mascara, etc. They remove it ALL and it doesn't sting my eyes! (I have super sensitive eyes) How I use: I take one pad & press it onto my eyelid, allowing it to sit for about 10 seconds, so it can break down the makeup and then I wipe it across. The mascara breaks down last, usually ends up underneath my eyes & that gets swiped away. THEN I flip the pad and do the other eye. Sometimes I run it across my lips & cheeks (if I'm wearing a stain). Then I cleanse my face with a mild cleanser.
Bottom Line: I love the pads! They're big, thick, soft & gentle on my skin. I do wish they would put a tiny bit more remover in the container, but the last pad works just as well as the first one. They are not greasy or oily & have no scent to them that I can smell. They run about $8.50 with tax.

I typically use Neutrogena's Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover in the bottle, but occasionally I'll get lazy and pick this up instead. I'm never unhappy with the product itself, but I go through the cotton pads so quickly that I always feel like I've wasted my money. These would be great for travel, but if you're looking for something for every day use, I'd recommend the Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover and some cheap round cotton pads -- it's a lower cost way to do the same thing.

I just got this a couple days ago and have only used them twice. For removing my makeup i don't care about "soothing" or "calming" effects, i just wanna get it off and wash my face. So these were pretty good, but they smear black all over your eyes and eye area before you wash your face, and you look like you just got beat up. But in terms of removing your makeup off of your eyes ( not counting spreading it around) it's pretty good.

I've tried Neutrogena's regular eye makeup remover-- that is, the stuff in the bottle-- and while it does its job, more or less (I still have a little bottle of it for travel, actually), I was looking for something more time-efficient that doesn't leave so much oily residue. So I picked up these. Luckily, I didn't get the burning sensation that a lot of people said they had. However, they didn't, you know... WORK! :( I usually just wear eyeliner and mascara-- removing just that shouldn't be too terrible a feat-- but with these pads, it takes a good fifteen minutes wiping and wiping and wiping away. I also find that the pads aren't saturated with enough product, which for the price, is ridiculous.
EDIT: I found a pretty simple tip on Youtube today while I was watching some beauty videos. Actually, a LOT of people said this: you should keep your makeup wipes stored upside down. Durrrr! Why didn't I think of that? Maybe that's why the pads aren't so saturated? I'm going to try that and give these wipes another go. Stay tuned!

I used these before I started using Garnier makeup removers. They DO burn when you first start taking off your makeup, nothing too horrible though. These worked pretty well on my makeup. I don't like the fact that they're pads, I prefers wipes more. They do last a good while. I have dry skin, and these didn't dry my skin out at all which is a big deal for me. I would buy them again. I'm a big fan of Neutrogena products.

Not bad! These things are great at removing all face and most eye makeup. Obviously they do not get it all off in one swipe, like the ads claim. They do best with foundation and eye products, and they even get the waterproof eyeliners off. However, removing waterproof mascara takes some effort on my behalf. These wipes do their thing and they smell really nice too! They are a great value, a couple of bucks for a large set of wipes. They come in travel size, too!!

These are fine for removing my eye shadow, even if I have a lot of it on top of primer and Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy. It all comes off pretty easily. However, they still sting the skin underneath my eyes, and they're absolutely rubbish for removing mascara or eyeliner if I've applied it with a sealant (which I always do). It just pushes black around my face, and I will still have to take my cleansing oil to my eyelashes to remove everything. Also, the pads are pretty scratchy, which just makes the burning worse.
The only reason I gave them two lippies instead of just one is because, as I mentioned before, they will take my shadow off easily. Also, the pads are a decent size, so I can get all of my shadow off of both eyes with just one pad. If I've only worn a sheer application of one color, I can cut the pad in half.

I love these! This is my HG eye makeup remover product. I understand what other reviewers have said about the pads being dry, because they are. But the simple way to combat that is that I just rehydrate them with a little bit of water, and they're perfect. Things I LOVE about these pads:
-absolutely NO oily residue
-no sting
-they're large
-no awful smell
-they work quickly and easily.
Seriously, just wet them down with a little water. They work!

Horrible product. They are too dry and the pads have these little fuzzies on them that get in your eye. I'm so surprised because this is one of the first Neutrogena products that I actually hate.

I really think these are super soft in texture so they will not irritate the skin around your eye. Also, I did not experience that they were dry, though understandably they're not sopping wet either (which I wouldn't want anyway). Maybe it dries out over time...
They take off water proof eye liner and mascara.

Bought these at target for $8.99 thinking they would be soaked with product like the almay pads, but NO! they are dry and useless for taking makeup off, they just smear the black fromt he mascara all over my face. Waste of money.

I don't wear any makeup on my eyes except for mascara (CG lash blash luxe with lashblast fusion layered), I'll be honest I do wear a few coats but these pads hardly take off any of it. The only parts that come off seem to be the fibres from mascara build up on the ends of my lashes. With a lot of work and harsh rubbing it takes some off.
I'm not sure if theres a new formula or something but I remember using these at my friends house last Summer and they were amazing, and when I finally went out and got my own, no such luck. I would not recommend these.

I love these pillowy pads. They're so soft and big that its like removing your eye makeup with clouds. I love that they don't leave any oily residue, and they smell nice, too! There aren't a ton of pads in the package, but you don't have to use more than one for both eyes. Even though your makeup won't come off with one simple swipe, the pads are so big that you can still use one side for each eye... no going through pad after pad like you do with other eye makeup removers. I've used stronger brands but these just feel so nice that I can't imagine switching again.

The size of the pads are nice-they are bigger than others I have used. You can get away with using one if you don't have much eye makeup on. The pads are soft and the remover is gentle-almost too gentle that it doesn't remove all of my eyeliner and mascara. I had to use at least 2 to get the job done.

hmm i can't believe this has such bad reviews. I got them in a swap and wasn't expecting much, but after using it i actually love it. I prefer them over my lancome bi facil because it's way more convenient. they remove my makeup pretty good but be careful not to get them in your eyes because they sting a little, but nothing bad though. overall i would give them a 4.5 because they're dirt cheap, removes makeup pretty well and very convenient. would definitely purchase again.
