I love this salve. I prefer the rosebud in the tube not tin form though. I use it on
My lips and if I'm in a jam I'll also use it for the dry spots on my face and body. I love the rose scent.... It's not too overwhelming. It's very moisturizing and keeps my lips from chapping.

As a lip product, this is top tier. I apply a thick layer of this at night, after using a lip scrub. It smells like fresh roses and is creamy and moisturizing. It comes in a tin, which is fine with me, but a tube would be even better and more hygienic. This product claims that it can be used as a body moisturizer as well, but I have to say that I tried and it was wayyyyy to greasy and sticky.(like lipgloss on your hands) I will continue to use this for my lips.

I think this is the only lip product I've ever actually finished and repurchased. It just works. The original scent is my favorite but because it's a floral with powdery undertones I would't say it's for everyone. They sell this in a squeeze tube now, which I much prefer! I love Rosebud and will always have a tube of it on my nightstand!

I really like this product. I don't have any issues as others explained about how it doesn't stay on long. It stays on for a long time before I have to reapply. It did a miracle on my cuticles also. If you apply before bed your lips feels so soft in the morning. Also, I had terrible chapped lips when I bought this and it replenish them within 24 hours. Blistex use to take 3 day for my lips to heal. The smell is nice the packaging is cute. Perfect product. I bought it in bulk so I'm stocked up for a while.

Smith's Rosebud Salve is actually pretty average. Basically, it's rosy colored petroleum jelly in a super cute little tin. Personally, I feel it's overpriced. I think I paid about $5 dollars at Sephora for what is probably about an ounce of product. You can get a 7.5 ounce jar of Burt's Bees Baby Bee Multipurpose Ointment, which is petroleum free and 100% natural, for under $9 bucks. Ounce per ounce it's a better buy.

This stuff is rather expensive but it lasts forever, so it's worth paying CDN$8 for. However, as others have already mentioned, I'm not too keen on the packaging. Sure it's cute and very vintage (a huge part of its appeal, and admittedly why I bought it too), but I can't help thinking of all the germs that fly in and stick to the product every time I open the lid. Which isn't great because I'm constantly doing just that :p Mine melted once when I was sunbathing on a riverbank in France (quelle honte!) but I just smoothed it over with my finger and stuck it in the fridge and it was fine again, albeit a bit germier than before. *shudder*
In the warm, sticky dog days of summer the scent is a bit ... grandmotherly, but in the winter I mind it a lot less. I just wish it were more moisturizing. With Rosebud Salve, I'm continually having to reapply, so when I'm feeling down and out I just use my good ol' Blistex and it does the job a million times better and lasts way longer too -- this pink stuff just doesn't sink in. BUT! It does have a saving grace, and it's that it works miracles on my cuticles. When I don't have lotion handy (or even when I do), I just apply some of this, and my dry, cracked, unsightly cuticles look hydrated and even. Rosebud Salve even leaves a slight, healthy sheen on my nails, which is a bonus. Not sure I'll be repurchasing when I run out, but this is good while it lasts! And I'm sure I'll find a proper use for the tin after :)

I ordered this from urbanoutfitters for around 6$ (8$ if you only buy one) because it got so many rave reviews. When I recieved it, it took me at least 5 minutes to open the tin! It was slippery and hard to open. Once opened, the scent was less than pleasant. I have quite a sensitive nose and the scent really bothered me. Overall I would not buy this again, due to the tin and the scent, however I bought the strawberry one which has a less creamy texture, and smells wonderful. I would recommend the strawberry one instead of the original.

I love how this feels in my lips, it's very moisturizing and have a nice smell. I can also use on my dry spots ( elbows and knee) and on my hair (flyaways). I use day and night and keeps my lips not dry. Love it!!!

This is pretty stellar but $6 for something I use primarily for my lips? Not to keen on it. I do love the moisturizing properties and I do like to use this as a base for my matte lipsticks and a coat for when I use lip stains. Love.
