Love this! I have been using it for close to five whole years now. Usually nothing lasts me that long because my skin will outsmart it somehow.

I have oily, fair skin and do not like to pile on a lot of makeup because it will get pasty. This product, however, lasts quite long especially with a primer. The coverage is fantastic and easily customized. It is also a very sanitary application and the jar lasts a long time (like a year and a half if worn daily).

Warning, though! If your skin is particularly dry that day, dry makeup of course can make it look worse. What I do in that case is mix it with moisturizer or sunscreen, and apply it that way.It blends flawlessly into a cream and covers just as well. :)

I've been using this foundation for a couple years now. I tried maybe 5 other mineral makeups (alima, lumiere, etc) which were all nice, but I still felt the need to search for something better, and then I found Buff'd! The original formula really is quite buildable, and even with a sheer layer I feel like it does a nice job of evening out my skintone. I use a lumiere talkon brush that was a knock-off of the flawless face brush. It has soft floppy bristles which I find gives a nice sheer coverage. Something soft like a duo fibre would work as well. If I use a kabuki or flat top it gives a lot more coverage, which I find I don't really need. I will say that it was hard to find a colour match, but they do have a tonne of shades and will custom blend them too.

I’m a mineral foundation junkie and I’m always in the market for the perfect mineral foundation. I’m sorry to say I am disappointed with this product. After reading these glowing reviews, I thought this would be my HG mineral makeup.

This product disappoints in every way. I tried the original formula and the concealing formula. They both perform the same. I don’t understand people’s reviews claiming this product is full coverage. Both formulas give only light to barely medium coverage - even when applied with a dense, kabuki brush. I have fairly clear skin, so I don’t have much to cover, except SLIGHT redness. This foundation just does not cover well. The texture is also quite drying. The finish is quite powdery, no matter how little I use. It does not look natural or skin-like at all. L’oreal Bare Naturale Mineral Foundation (you can find at the drugstore) gives FULL coverage with a more natural finish at the same price as Buff’d.

I am a cosmetics addict and i have so many foundations. I have tried it ALL.... And I absolutely love this product!!! I have never really likes mineral foundations because they were too much effort applying layer after layer just to get full coverage and then looking pastey and cakey. This MMU is nothing like that! Just one application gives me very close to full coverage and doesnt look flaky at all!!! I have fairly good skin that is pretty much free from blemishes, but i have terrible scarring from childhood eczema and lots of broken capillaries. This product is fantastic to cover all my issues.I have it in both Beige light and olive light and i can wear both without it looking any different to my natural skin colour, however i like the olive light in summer. Their blush as well is fantastic, but i will put that in another review. If you are thinking of giving it a go, get some samples and go for it. They will last you FOREVER!! Plus they are an inexpensive way of finding your shade! Definitely recommended this to all my friends. I hope you love this product as much as i do!

only con i can think of is that it needs a lid that closes or a sifter that closes like Bare Minerals so that the product doesnt come out during travel..

wanted to really love this mmu since most of the reviews are positive. bought quite a few samples, and although i did find a color match, the consistency just isn't for me. it is quite cakey when you apply it even if you buff it out really well and i could tell i had make up on. the thing i disliked even more is that it made my face itch. i do like that they have such a wide array of colors though. glad that it works well for others, just not for me.

After trying at least ten brands of MMU (in addition to the over 25 I had already tried over the years BEFORE I found my former and now defunct HG mineral foundation - Earthen Glow), I think I have FINALLY found something to replace it.

I thought that Milan Minerals was it, but after wearing it a few times, it was too cakey on me after a short while even though after some mixing I got a great match and it looks really pretty going on. It turned out to be really heavy for me. Don't get it twisted, I LOVE full coverage but not heavy look and feel. It might work better for someone with drier skin than mine where the oils don't make it look caked on.

Buff'd, on the other hand, is REALLY CREAMY for a powder, which I LOVE and gives FULL but NATURAL coverage with just a little bit of product and has crazy staying power while looking glowy AND natural on my oily, acne prone, sensitive, hard to match, multi-ethnic skin with surface dehydration! A foundation that works for me with all of that going will work for ANYONE!

I even tried it during a long show in where I spent half the night sweating and had already had it on all day prior to the event. It stayed and still looked good...I'm sold!

I hate that I spent over $100 in samples trying to find a suitable replacement for my beloved Earthen Glow Minerals, and I'm not thrilled that I have to now pay for expensive shipping from Canada and wait an extra week to get my makeup...BUT, thanks to a reviewer below, who also loved EG and found Buff'd comaprable to it, I took the plunge on one more and I am SO glad I did... I even found an amazing color match - they got the undertone of the Golden Series EXACTLY right - I don't have to mix (although I'm picky and probably will use other colors on certain parts of my face anyway...especially to perform - contouring and such). But for everyday use, I can just put this on, look natural and beautiful, know it's not going anywhere and keep moving!

I'm off to order several full size jars (I got several applications out of the samples, they even sent me double the amount of samples I ordered for free so I could be sure I found a color match! - I ordered all Goldens - they also sent me Warms in the same depths complimentary - that's rocking customer service!).

This might just be my new HG!!!

I am just totally confused by that last review :/ But I DO recommend that you order lots of samples- it took me a few tries before I found the perfect color because they have about a zillion choices!
Color match: I've got red-headed coloring, that annoying hard-to-match-peachy color, and I finally found my match in the "Beige" colors (custom mix between pale and fair). I usually have to settle for "warm" in other mmus, and the match is never *quite* right, so I'm very happy with Buff'd. Oh, and btw- "Pale" is REALLY pale! If you're a PPP, order a Pale and a Fair sample-- trust me XD
Coverage: I only use the "Light" formulation ("...a lightweight foundation that still offers buildable coverage and great oil absorption"), so that's what I'm reviewing. For comparison-- even though it's "Light," this stuff STILL covers better than Everyday Minerals (ugh, I am so over them), and it lasts longer, too! I've been using it for several months now, and it doesn't break me out or irritate my skin. Oil-control is pretty good, even for the "light" formula, but you'll still want to use a good primer if you're super-oily like I am.
Price: It looks a little pricey, but you get a ton of product (more than EDM for its price), and you don't have to use much of it. Annnnd they have 20% off sales a few times a year so you can stock up.
Shipping: Very reasonably priced, and FAST, too! I was surprised- from British Columbia to Georgia, USA has never been more than a week (and that includes processing time).
Honestly, my only real gripe is that the containers are a little plain; I dunno, is that dumb to gripe about? Boo hoo hoo, I want a fancier container? Lawlz. But it does the job, it's durable, and you can stick a cotton ball on top of the sifter for traveling and it works like a an absolute charm!
Bottom line: I would buy Buff'd Minerals a million times over, I love them so much!

My experience with this foundation is completely disastrous! I bought a few samples of this and none of them are right! Antique and some others I cant remember the names are so yellow you look like a corpse (yes even more yellow than Mac's SFF nc30/25), and from the olive family OMG! disaster really isnt the word, it finished like a had a load of mud marks on my face (and this was not correctable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, so i was rushing for work because I to redo my face with another mmu). The reason for this is obviously the foundation is a b"*ch to try to blend (even with a flat top brush!). Really I dont give such bad reviews for products, but it really was wrong on me... If anyone has any suggestions for me all are welcome. Im not new to mmu so Im putting it down to bad quality makeup that is going in the bin.

I have been using Buff'd cosmetics foundation for a couple of months now with good results. For the winter i use Apricot in the original formula. Then in the summer, I used Pecan with the Hallow finishing powder.

The foundation helps me out with my skin when it dries out in the winter and when it gets oily in the summer with great strength. I do not look shiny but i have a radiant glow.

The foundation is very soft and light when applied. It lasts all day without touchup ( except for my nose which i find i touch a lot due to glasses and allergies). It is the best foundation to handle my skin issues and tackle heat, humidity and dry winter winds which for me is great. There are no bismuth oxycholrides in the ingredients which is great and kaolin powder added to absorb oil all day is fabulous.

The shipping even though it says it can take up to 14 days from Canada has reached me in a week all the way down here in Texas.

Customer service has been great and I get quick and helpful responses to queries.

i gone thru quite a few companies looking for a mineral foundation that serves my varying needs throughout the year and i think Buff'd is the ONE!

As others have said, GREAT mineral foundation, and I'm happy to order from this small Canadian company (www.buffd.com). >>>> I'm a PPP and have tried several brands of mineral make-up, ranging from drugstore up to premium brands (MAC and Bare Escentuals) and my biggest problem was that nothing was pale enough! And seriously, MAC's stuff was just too shiny. Buff'd offers an astounding selection for of tones, including very fair tones, a pure white, and a colourless mattifying sericite powder that is great for applying over or under foundation to vary coverage and matte-ness. I like the original and concealing foundations in Fawn. Illuminating Canvas dust is also gorgeous on fair skin - best bronzer I've ever tried. The website provides good descriptions of products. Products are all talc-free, and all ingredients are listed and described on the site. BTW, invest in a good quality body or kabuki brush for any mineral foundation - cheap brushes just don't work.

Oh I had such high hopes for this foundation. Luckily I only purchased a few samples in different colors before committing to a full size. The original formula has way too much shimmer/sheen in it for me. The concealing formual had no sheen but poor coverage in my opinion. I will definitely not buy a full size or use anymore of the pretty generous samples. I'm going back to my L'Oreal Bare Naturale.

I decided to try mineral foundation on the advice of a friend who said it was easier to use than the liquid foundation that I used at the time. After doing some research I decided on Buff'd, and two years later I am still using it.

I chose this product due to the reasonable price, availability of samples, and the fact that it is bismuth oxide free (a compound in some mineral foundations that I had read can irritate sensitive skin and sometimes cause breakouts).

I purchased a few sample sizes of their foundations to find the correct shade for me. It turns out that their Bisque (neutral) shade is a perfect match for my pale skin; their warmer tone was too yellow for me even though in many product lines my skin matches the warm tones more closely.

At the time that I purchased the samples, the original formula was the only choice, but since then I have also purchased the concealing formula. Both the original and concealing formulas seem to work similarly on my skin, so I use them interchangeably. I apply the foundation in thin layers with a large powder brush, concentrating on evening out the red parts of my skin around my nose and chin. Despite using several layers, it's still quick and easy to apply.

While this foundation is good for evening out reddish areas in my complexion, it doesn't completely cover blemishes or dark circles. I use a separate concealer before or after applying the mineral foundation.

I have combination skin, and my forehead tends to get shiny after a few hours after applying makeup. The Buff'd foundation alone doesn't fix this, so I use a setting powder afterward, which solves the problem completely. Other than the shininess on my forehead, the foundation stays put well for me.

The only problem that I occasionally encounter with this foundation is if my skin is too dry. Any flakes or rough patches are highlighted by the powder formula, but this is easily prevented by using gentle exfoliation and richer moisturizers in the winter when it's especially dry where I live.

The packaging is a basic but functional clear plastic sifter jar with a screw-top lid. It's not particularly attractive, but it works fine for dispensing the loose powder foundation, and I have never had a problem with the jar breaking or leaking, even during air travel.

Since using this foundation I've been told that I've become more photogenic, and I personally notice the difference quite a bit in pictures. Being able to easily apply more layers of the product in the areas where I need it, while keeping it light in areas that don't need as much coverage is what makes me really appreciate a mineral foundation as compared to the liquid that I had previously used.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the quality of the Buff'd mineral foundation and plan to continue using it as long as it is available.

Well, I ordered the COMPLETELY wrong shade of samples. My face looks ridiculously yellow with it being the only thing on, but luckily I have a light powder that toned it down to look natural.
Anyways, this stuff itself is pretty decent. Oil control is fabulous for me, as mineral makeup usually gets me oily in an hour. Its been four and I'm just breaking through with some oil.
Negatively, this seems pretty cakey and the finish isn't as nice as others (I'm thinking it's the kaolin clay they put in it). Now it isn't grotesquely cakey, but you can tell I have makeup on. The coverage is heavy however, so if I find a way to use the coverage in places i need and use as little as possible so it's not cakey in other areas (mouth and chees especially), then I'd be a happy camper.

Oh, but all mineral makeup transfers quite easily, which reaaaally peeves me. But I like it cause it's natural and cheap since I live in BC. Much better than EM and less oily than Terra Firma, but I really liked Terra Firma's colour and initial look/feel. I was actually really disappointed with Buffd at first, but an hour went by and I really liked it (er, after I fixed my yellow face.)

Ohh Buff'd ... such a wonderful product! it provided full coverage that lasted all day! I don't need to use additional concealer for my acne marks. And perhaps it's due to the finishing veil, but it's certainly not as oily as EM. It covers better than EM's intensive. And the customer service is helpful yet personal.
I've ordered the samples so far so I can'tcomment on the packaging, but the product is finely milled and very silky. I also liked Pure Anada which is comparable to Buff'd CS and quality.
Give the samples a try, you won't regret it.
And if you live in Canada, my samples came in 2 days ^^ SO very impressed!!

I'm new to the world of mineral foundation. I've recently received some samples which I'm currently playing with.
I had really really high hopes that the concealing foundation could keep me matte. It didn't work quite as well as I'd hoped.
Although, I'm very impressed with the wide array of color selections they have for the foundations. I ordered 3 different colors and they are all a pretty good match.
I like how fresh and natural my face looks though, so I'm going to keep using my samples and see if it ends up becoming a staple for me. I would highly recommend trying.

I am finally happy to announce that I have found my HG mineral foundation. As a person with sensitive skin I like the fact that there are no fillers or junk in Buff'd formulas. The coverage is a bit heavier than I need but I sheer it out and it looks great and natural. The colors are very forgiving - I can wear all three I sampled. I will be ordering the full size in Cream. Samples are very large and will last you quite some time. Similar coverage to Cory Cosmetics without the horrible customer service. Jennifer at Buff'd was amazing and helped me pick out some shades and included free samples. Chilled blush is really nice too. I like how Buff'd offers 'refill' baggies with free shipping (I have no shortage of old jars to put the refill in!). Great idea - as I am trying not to buy anymore plastic anything. I will continue to buy Buff'd and my skin thanks me for it! No customs charges as I am in Canada! YAY! I have been using my sample for just over a month.

Buff'd's original formula is wonderful for anyone who wants/needs full coverage. I have redness and some scars that need concealing and this covers them without an added step of a separate concealer. The foundation feels quite creamy and is easy to apply wet or dry. I do still have to blot during the day so I couldn't give these foundation 5 lippies...I'm still searching for something that keeps me matte for more than 4 hours.

I feel bad for not being able to add to the other positive reviews.. but I really don't like this foundation. The coverage is good, but this stuff is heavy and cakey looking. I've tried samples from 12 different mineral companies, and this foundation has one of the worst finishes compared to the others. I wanted to try Buff'd based on the good reviews on here, but i'm really disappointed.

I hear Buff'd has a new light coverage formula out, so maybe that will be less heavy and cakey looking. I probably won't be ordering any more samples from them anytime soon, there's better mineral make up out there!
