So for some reason I thought of buying the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze self tanning lotion and it couldve been a lil better since I noticed a lil bit splotchiness on my legs but not anything major :) I do kinda enjoy the shimmer its not s annoying as most shimmery lotions. I usually buy the Banana Boat Summer Color tannning lotion and it works on me just fine I hope this review works out for you guys and ill update more later!!:)

This is definitely the best self tanning product I have used. I love it! It gives me a great, natural looking tan. It goes on very easy and completely streak free. Very easy to put on and you don't need that much. It smells nice, not that strong smell like other tanners. It doesn't come off on my clothes or sheets and you don't have to wait for it to dry when you put it on. It also has this very sublte sparkle, makes your skin look radiant. I use it every couple days to maintain the color. It does dry my skin out slightly so I use Aquaphor to counter that. This is a great tanner for me.....I get the tan without the skin damage!

This is awesome! It is so cheap *8.99* and works so well. Follow the instructions and it is absolutely mess-up proof! Great natural color. The sparkles suck but go away by the end of the day or next shower. Overall, great stuff.

I hate the tint of this stuff unless I put on a super thin amount. It looks really orange and unnatural on me personally. Way too thin and uneven. Way too glitter-looking Yuck. It's not so bad if I just leave it on for an hour or less than take a shower. Otherwise it just looks fake. There are too many other good self tanners out there to use this one again.

I use this about once a week. Like most tanners you have to wait a few minutes to get dressed so I do it at night when I am not in a rush. The smell does seem to linger thru the night but it doesn't smell that bad. Not great but not bad either. It does sparkle but isn't noticable. Is streak free like the bottle says and lasts about 4 days. Doesn't dry my skin out but I always use my Jergens coco lotion in the morning.

The updated formula smells like cheap cologne and has way too much glitter BUT it applies smoothly and doesn't streak. I apply before bed, and by the time I wake up the smell is that of a regular self tanner.

This self tanning lotion provides a natural looking, long lasting, streak free, tan glow, at a moderate price, without looking blotchy or orange. There is a substantial amount of glitter in it, which I find unappealing and mildly annoying. Despite this inconvenience, the glitter is not noticeable on the days you don't use the lotion, as it washes off easily in the shower. Unfortunately I can't continue to use this product because it is highly irritating for me, causing rashes on my dermatitis and eczema prone skin. I wish this product did not react with my sensitive skin, as it costs half the price of my regular Clinique self tanner and fades gradually in a more natural looking and less blotchy manner. This product is worth an experiment and would likely be a good choice for people who don't have sensitive, dermatitis prone skin.

I like this fake tan as it has an instant bit of colour and shimmer straight after applying! It didn't go patchy or streaky on my skin and didn't end up going orange. It had a lovely natural bronze colour and didn't smell awful, I buy time after time!! Xx

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this tanner!! But i dont use it straight from the tube. I mix it with 1 part lotion, 2 parts tanner. And it moisturizes and tans my skin! And i NEVER get streaks! But since i do this, i get a darker tanning shade than i normally would, that way i get tanner faster!

I am pale, not alabaster. Without tannig, I look sickly in summer. I am 42, but have much~younger complexion, so sun and tanning beds are not options. I have tried Versa, self tanners, the daily slow-color lotions and even tinted moisturizers to wear skirts in summer w/o feeling awkward. No luck. This product, though, has changed that luck.
Cons: the glitter is absurd, but I tone it down by applying lotion a few hours after I use the product. I definitely do not advide using this less than two or three hours...a day before is best.
Container is prone to splattering if you don't shake the product down.
PROS: No streaks unless you are sloppy. Inside of my wrist is the most problematic~make sure you do that area close to last and don't rub your arms against your body as you apply.
Yes, your palms can be brown, but on th reverse, the color LASTS! I first applied this ten days ago then a second layer two days layer. I used some Dove daily tan lotion in between- I have applied it fur times total all over, and spot applied once or twice. Still have first bottle.
You definitely have to go slow and don't try to go native tan in one application.
I had instant color, and other than glitter, loved it. Notched down for glitter. I didn't have isues w/ the smell. I only use it my publically visible body areas, so it lasts awhile. It WILL rub off on clothing if you aren't dry before you dress or you get sweaty thefirst day. Shoe straps also wreak havoc on hot days or after 10 hour days, but that is to be expected.

Pros
-quick drying
-instant bronze
-blends quite well
Cons
-can be little streaky if not rubbed in well
-smells okay during application not too strong compared to Jergens and Dove.. but after a while it starts to smell like it. And the scent lasts the whole day.
-can be quite expensive.. but I got mine on a street fair where they sold
"leftover" make-up products
-a little orange-y, but it's not unbearable
-color fades rather quickly when stopped applying (stopped using for about 2 days and I can immediately see the color fade)
Overall I am satisfied with this product as compared to Jergens and Dove self-tanners. Would buy again!

The bottle says "streak-free" but it streaked on me, and I was meticulously careful.

I got this from my mom who accidentally bought the wrong self-tanner and didn't like the glitter in it. I gave it a try, and at first, I hated it. I'm super pale, and it looked so orange and streaky on me...and I couldn't get over the glitter. It looked like a glitter bomb exploded all over me.
But I kept using it, and i'm glad I did. Once I developed a bit of color, it became easy to apply without looking streaky. It gives me a nice glowing, bronze color. Not orange looking at all. I have come to not mind the glitter so much. It wipes off easily once dried, and washes off completely in the shower, plus it's not that noticeable if you're going out for the evening.
One problem I couldn't get past was the way it left my hands - orange and smelly. Yuk! However, I discovered a way around it. Apply regular lotion to your hands right before, apply the Sublime bronze, and then immediately wash your hands using a kitchen scrub sponge (an un-used one of course) and soap and gently scrubbing them. My hands don't smell at all anymore..and they're not orange either.
I'm happy with this tanner. I especially love the tinted bronze color it gives off immediately. Everyone has been asking if i've been going tanning and saying I look great. Not sure if i'll buy again because I haven't been able to find it (only online), and i've gone through it a little too fast.

I have very fair skin and I was looking for a good product to apply to bronze my skin up a bit. When it comes down to it, this did the job.
Color: Nice bronze. Not dirty looking or orange. VERY glittery.
Smell: Probably the best smelling sunless tanner I have tried. It didn't bother me one bit. (I've used Jergens, Hawaiian Tropic, Banana Boat, and Hempz)
Application: Troublesome near ankles and knees. Probably could have been remedied by putting a little lotion on those areas before application.
Fading: Did not fade well on my skin. It left a bit of a lizard like texture.
How long does the bottle last? About 2 weeks for me. Noticed bad fading after 1 week.
Personal Opinion: I have yet to find a sunless tanner that provides a nice, even, deep color this fast. The reason I rate it a 3 is because of the way it fades and because of the glitter. If it was more of a shimmer I would have been fine. They are very noticable chunks of glitter! I probably could have prevented the lizard skin by moisturizing more, but I just don't have the time. It would also work much better and be much cleaner if it was in a pump bottle. Also note that it will turn your hands brown! I have not decided if I will repurchase yet. I have used the entire bottle over the course of 2 weeks.

Didn't have a very good experience with this product. I figured I'd try it since it was tinted and it would help to see where it was being applied. However I think the biggest problem with it was the glitter, as I rubbed it in it began to clump and sure enough it gave me streaks ALL over my body. I had to soak in a bath every night, scrub my skin and wear long sleeves and pants to work everyday for a week which was a bummer since it was in winter. L'Oreal has some good products but I didn't care for this one. I tried the Sublime Bronze Gelee and that worked a lot better thanks to the runnier consistency.

I"ve used a TON of self tanners. So far this is the best one for me. People complain that it is streaky and blotchy but it is all about the application of the product. It's important that you EXFOLIATE before applying this lotion. I apply it all over my body except for my face. If you have sensitive skin like I do, you wanna stay clear of the face and opt for a self tanner made specifically for the face. When applying think of it as your regular lotion that you apply after a shower. Blend in all over your legs, feet, arms, etc. Dont miss any spots and of cource use sparingly around your knees and elbows. If your using this product for an upcomming event and your trying to obtain a nice glow, use at least 3-4 days prior to the event. That way if you dont like your results you can reapply to cover up any missed or streaked spots. Also do NOT use the day before and event, or a party, or a date, etc. the smell is a little overwhelming and one shower doesnt get rid of the smell. Overall i love the product. I'll continue to buy it.

I was surprised at the bad reviews for this. In highschool I tried a self tanner, cannot remember which I think Neutrogena, and it looked terrible. Since then I have stayed away from self tanners. But I decided to try one again since I have heard they have improved the formulas and I wanted a tan (I dont have time or want to go tanning in a tanning salon due to skin cancer concerns) I picked this based off of reviews, price and convenience (got it at CVS). Because I havent used many self tanners, I do not have much to compare it to. However, I am satisfied with this and will probably use it again this summer. I do not have the patience to use this year round.
I found it not to be streaky unless I was lazy and didnt rub it in good enough. If I took my time I didnt have problems with streaks. Just be careful wahsing your hands afterward. I really like that it dries fast since I do not want to sit naked and wait for it to dry. The smell did not bother me. I also like that it is tinted so you can see where you have rubbed it in. I noticed my bronze-ness right away and with an extra coat I looked really tan. I usually did one because I didn't want to look fake and prefer a natural look. On paler parts of my body (chest, neck, inside of arms) I mixed it with body moisturizer so it wasn't as strong. I did notice after about 4 days it would get patchy but I am sure its because I didnt exfoliate beforehand. The tan also lasted for about 3 or 4 days. I usually reapplied every 2 or 3 days. The shimmer was the only thing that really bothered me, but the next morning I would rinse it off or gently rub a towel over the places I put the tanner on and it took it away enough.

I loved the color this gave, but unfortunately, I hated the lizard look a few days later. This is the only self tanner that has ever faded so bad on me. I wished it didn't because this would be my HG drugstore brand self tanner. It is so beautiful. I didn't care for the smell either. Overall, I'd still recommend since the price point is so affordable.
