I'm trying out mineral makeup and I like to be informed of all of my choices. I ordered the sample kit. You have to pay for shipping. It was like $5 and some change. The samples are little plastic jars with sifters with about 1 teaspoon of product in each jar. I ordered:
Mineral Foundation in 0.0 Porcelain
Mineral Foundation in 3.0 Light
Light Touch Concealer
Soft Mint Color Corrector
Soft Sunshine Color Corrector
Petal Pink Mineral Veil
The foundation is very very very very light with not much coverage at all. It would work for me in a pinch, I guess.
The concealer is also very light and doesn't offer much coverage without caking it on, and cake up it does. I had to put a lot on and it settled into my fine lines. I have tried it several different times hoping to get better results, but the concealer accentuates my undereye wrinkles and rings and makes them look even worse. The Soft Sunshine Color Corrector did correct the color I needed it to correct (undereye circles), but as with all color correctors, you can tell that part of your face is a different color, even when you put a regular concealer cover over it.
The mineral veil is very light as well, and leaves a soft color to your face. I'm really fair, so it may have been slightly too pinkish for me, but it's ok I guess.
All in all, this makeup is just meh.

HG!!!! I FINALLY FOUND IT! So excited! After years of using BareMinerals, I stopped because I realized that a.) I was allergic to it, and b.) It made my skin look like crap. At the age of 19, it made me look like I had wrinkles. I went back to liquid foundation, but kept on searching for a MMU that would work for me. Unfortunately, it's taken me seven years to find it.
I have tried and/or looked into Everyday Minerals, MAD Minerals, Meow Minerals, Elegant Minerals, GloMinerals, Youngblood, Mineral Silk, Silk Naturals, Afterglow, Barefaced, Alima, Lucy, Oceanmist, Lily Lolo, etc., etc., etc. Honestly, way more than I can list. They all either have WAY more ingredients than Signature Minerals, or they're WAY more expensive. For instance, I found that some formulations of Meow Minerals were ok, but SM was less expensive. There are so few ingredients that I dare your skin to become irritated by this.
Speaking of formulations, I find it really refreshing that I don't have to worry about picking a color AND a formula. If you want it glowy/dewy looking, they have a veil for that. Seriously, I didn't even bother trying Meow's line because it was so overwhelming and the site's navigation scared me, even though the color selection there is amazing. I knew I'd be sampling for years to find my match.
This MMU literally looks as good or better on my face than liquid foundation. WHAT?! Yes, you heard me. I can't believe I said it, either. I can get as much or as little coverage as I want, and it looks like I have perfect skin. It evens me out, their concealers are AMAZING and actually conceal (take note, other MMU companies!), and it stays ALL day without any touch ups (I wear a veil underneath as a primer and I moisturize with EVOO, which probably helps it stick and meld with my skin). Oh, AND IT DOESN'T SETTLE INTO FINE LINES! So, at age 26, I do not look 90, thank you.
I received my sample kit in two days. Yes. Two days. Their customer service is amazing and they happily take suggestions for colors. Also, their samples have lasted me a week now and I haven't even made a dent in them. And I apply generously to my face AND neck (to avoid weird-ghostly-mineral-face in pictures if one should be taken).
For reference, I'm an NC/NW15 (depends), with golden/yellow undertones... especially since over the summer my skin actually saw the light of day. I use the 2.0 Light Foundation, Bisque concealer (would recommend Light Touch for those who are as white as I usually am) and Angel Wings Veil under and over my foundation. I do use Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer under my eyes to conceal dark circles, but then I go over that with a dusting of the Angel Wings Veil, then their Soft Sunshine Color Corrector and oh my gosh! Soft Sunshine has done something for my eyes that nothing else ever has! Highly recommend!
I look matte all day, but not so matte that it doesn't look like skin anymore. It looks like skin... can't explain it. Simply the best, most wonderfully milled amazing stuff EVER. I hope everyone buys this so SM can stay in business forever and continue to supply me with the best MMU known to mankind. LOVE! I do hope, though, that they get more colors into their line. I think some brighter colors would attract a lot more girls and having natural and bright colors would help them to reach a broader audience. But apart from the limited blush shade selection, no complaints!
Amazing products, amazing service, amazing prices. I am a lifetime customer. Never been able to call a foundation my HG before, and never would've dreamed it would be a MMU and something good for my skin!

This line is amazing, if you've got sensitive skin there's some hope for you in this line. Go to the web page and get the samples, you only have to pay shipping which is around $5. it was well worth it. Don't for get to moisturize, I found it looks best when my skin is still a little wet. Try the veils too, looooove em!!!

I love the Signature Minerals samples as they allow you to find just the right shade of whatever it is you need, without spending a whole lot of money. The jars are packed to the brim and also make perfect travel-size containers.

I love this! i had ordered:
- 0.0 foundation
- seashell blush
- translucent finishing powder
- light touch concealer
- mint green concealer
The foundations were great but a little too dark for me, as for the rest, i am in looooooveveveveve! the blush is the peeerfect light pink for my pink undertone, pale complexion and its light enough to look like supermodel natural, not fake bright pink circle like some blushes can create.
The concealers hands down, were the best i have ever used! i even went back to buy the mint green concealer beause i cant bear the idea of running out! it you have dark, or even red (like me) undereye circles, this will solve all your problems. i have never had anything, and i mean i have tried many times to get these shadows off my face, but this truly make you look flawless like on foundation commercials. some green concealers claim to take away redness and dark circles, but they leave you with a greenish tint. This takes you to your natural skin tone like it should look!
after i put that on i apply my light touch concealer just to make absolutely, positively sure im not green, but with a pinkish color, and the combo of green under and light touch over works awesome for acne, red spots, or just red cheeks in general! i apply is all over my cheeks and its invisble under foundation!
I actually really like everyday minerals lightest saple pack te best.... its a-maz-ing! covers my rosacea/keratosis pilaris/acne flawlessly :D. wierd combo, but if it can cover up that, then i imagine it can cover anything!
it also has helped me, to apply my lancome moisturizer for very dry skin before all this, let it absorb for like 5 minutes, then apply a thin layer of translucsent powder under everything else. then add some more again at the very end of it all. This probly sounds like it takes forever, but it really doesnt. The extras from signature minerals really are amazing (ps, the price is the only downside to the sample pack, even though its only the shipping, i like things better free. nut this, at least, is totally worth the shipping!)

I ordered the sample kit without any high expectations, but absolutely love the products! The Signature minerals foundation has to be my favourite of the whole lot I tried (a good few!!!!!). Samples of foundation/blushes come in little sifter jars labeled with the colour, and are really very very generous. The eyeshadow samples come in little baggies and are also quite generous. I found baggies are a bit of hassle, but it's not that much as you can empty it in an empty them in sample pots. I usually do this on a tissue or in the sink, as you will spill at least a tiny bit. Most definitely worth a try. My perfect shade for the summer is 4.0. I have already received my full size in this, and again the full size is also extremely generous at 10g in 30g (I think) jar, whereas for example everyday minerals are around 5g for around the same price. And again I ordered another sample kit of lighter colours of foundation with my full sized foundation. Love it

Great little sample kit! Product comes in the cute little sifter jars and everything. The amounts are reasonably generous - enough to try for at least a week (IMO). Texture is nice. I still haven't found my color, but I'm close...Seriously - this is the best sample kit I've gotten so far. If you want to try out mineral makeup, I recommend giving Signature Minerals a shot.

I'm on the move from Everyday Minerals (new formula = UGH!!!), so I got the sample pack from SM with foundations 0, 1.0, 2.0, light touch concealer, translucent finishing veil, and matte white e/s (in case i needed to lighten any of the fdns). All that for a grand total of five bucks and some change? Shiny. And definitely the cheapest sample kit (I ordered four others from various MMU companies).
Shipping was FAST- i had my order in less than a week (probably would've been faster, but I ordered late Friday night, my bad). All samples came in tiny sifter jars (except for the eyeshadow which came in a tiny baggie), very convenient. And the samples are generous! I need to test-drive new makeup for at LEAST a week to find out if my skin will go berzerk, and these samples will definitely hold out that long.
Overall, love the samples, love the products, and as long as my skin doesn't revolt (*fingers crossed*), I'll be sticking with Signature Minerals.
Age: 44-55 Skin: Sensitive, Fair-Medium Hair: Blond Eyes: Green
Signature Minerals sample kit shipped quickly, but none of the colors worked for me... foundation 6, 7, and 8 looked kind of muddy or something. Disappointed in the blush and eye colors labeled "semi-matte"... waaayy too frosty therefore useless to me. Still searching for EM alternative.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Normal, Fair-Medium, Cool Hair: Brunette Eyes: Brown
Pretty good. I got mostly blushes and they were all very light except I think Buff Apricot is awesome. Love it. I should try the foundations, I'll be curious to see if I like it since I'm all about liquid foundation.

My favorite mineral makeup. Great value for what you pay for!! Strongly recommend it!!

Signature Minerals offers a free 6 piece sampler kit in mini jars (except for eyeshadows which are in baggies). The samples are very generous and filled to the top of the container. They are good quality minerals which do not bother my sensitive skin and they look natural on your skin. The soft radiance veil gives a nice dewy healthy skin finish. For my fair skin the lightest shade of porcelain worked wonderfully. The pink jazz blush is so pretty. I also purchased a sample of their rosehip seed moisturizer and I love it because my skin is so soft and silky. I will be ordering the full size products and signed up on their website for their electronic newsletter to get the promo codes. The shipping fee for the samples was about $5.00. You should definitely try them! Also, the full size products are reasonably priced, a refill bag of foundation is only $13.00 for 10 grams. They sell empty jars, mini scoops and a brush collection as well.

great samples. 6 in all. you can mix match base, eye, blush, and veil. the foundation is really good. i thought everyday minerals is good but i like signature minerals better. it is finer and feels lighter. coverage is great. buildable. i found my matching shade. the veil is also good. it just mattifies and sets the foundation. the blush (roseberry) i used as shadow (fyi if you get eyeshadows they come in baggies so better get blushes and use them as shadows) and it was great. fully-pigmented. i wet my brush a little bit and it set quickly. paid $5+ shipping. will definitely order more. esp now that everyday minerals did away with their free sample kit. it's good that i discovered signature minerals. it is hands down the best foundation i've ever worn.

This sampling is amazing. I ordered these products, they came quickly (I live in the USA), and the samples are huge! The little sifter jars are packed to the gills, and you can use the samples for weeks! It is not like they short-change you! And the minerals are wonderful - the veils are gorgeous, and they feel so natural and soft on your skin. The coverage is also amazing. I'm very pleased - having used many other mineral products, these are my favorite. I'm a customer, and ready to place my third order (along with more free samples!).

Ive been using this for about 3 weeks.Super soothing to my sensitive skin...I ordered 07 warm I may need to adjust the color alittle(could go lighter) but for the $$$ & quality, you can't beat it..

I haven't actually used this product yet, but I gotta say, I ordered this on April 20th, and received an email from them on April 30th that it had JUST BEEN SHIPPED... it takes them ten days to ship it out?! I receive my EDM shipment in less than ten days of the actual order.
On top of that, in their email, it states that it takes up to 28 days for international customers to receive their order??
Two thumbs down.

I have excellent skin which I credit to the fact that I have good genetics (thanks Mom and Dad), never worn foundations or heavy face makeup, just blush, and never put a lot of gunk on my face. A lifetime of healthy eating/lifestyle, and not smoking pays off ladies. So you young ones listen up! At 57 I have very good skin.
However I wanted to lightly even out skin tone yet still look natural and pretty. I was curious about MM and thought I'd give the sample kit a go. My 15-year old daughter wanted to try something besides cheap drugstore stuff which made her look orange, so I encouraged her to try SM. We are both delighted. The coverage is perfect for me, and I don't feel like I have layers of stuff sitting on my face.
Samples are generous, and you can have a range that will let you move from winter through summer. The blushes are lovely colors and give just the right amount of blush without looking fake. I like that if you want to go deeper you just brush on more. It all blends beautifully and we both look great. My daughter is learning that "less is more" and by using MM she no longer looks like a painted doll.
I have never used other brands, or even liquid or any foundation since I always felt I looked like I had a mask on my face. It felt awful sitting on my skin as well, and I was always conscious of the sensation. This is the first face makeup that I actually forget is on my skin, and I am very pleased with the effect.

Im so grateful to this samplekit, because it introduced me to one of the mineral foundations i love most. I also found the best matches for my skintone in nr. 1 ivory and nr. 2 light, and that was a shock as im used to not finding even one good enough match in other brands (i have the peaches and cream complection). And OH, the blushes! So so so beautiful, they are gorgeous. Rose and Adobe Sun are my favorites.
Im also a collector of neutral e/s, and these samples made me find some of the best. I have already gone back for more of Champagne, Jo`s Sandcastle, Beige semi-matte, Khaki and Soft Brown. They are very pretty, easy to apply and the stayingpower is the same as e/s from EDM, Fyrinnae, MAD, TSS, and Joppa (and much better than Pure Luxe). So i found a lot of gems thanks to this sample-kit. And in MY mind, that is a good thing :-)

I loved the idea about this free sample make up kit.
But I didn't manage to find my foundation match.
I won't even bother, since I like EM (especially their textures) much more.

I can't believe some of the negative reviews about customer service here! Wow, I've been using SM on and off for about 3 years now and I've NEVER had bad customer service. Actually, I've had wonderful customer service from them!! Better then anywhere else as a matter of a fact. Odd.
I love SM's makeup!! I've been testing out several brands of MM but keep coming back to SM. They don't have my exact shade of foundation, but with all the other bonuses like staying power, natural looking, ect I just buy two shades and mix them till its right. :) I hear that with SM, using the veil is a must, but I haven't used it so I'm getting ready to order probably my fifth free sample. (I'm picky about eyeshadow and I'm not going to pay for one I don't like if I don't have to :), that being said, Jo's Sandcastle = amazing for dark sapphire blue eyes with pale skin as an eyeliner ). I've always gotten speedy delivery with them, and my order has always been right. Plus I love that they let you try their eyeshadows for free!! A lot of companies only let you try their foundation, and I HATE to buy shadow only to realize I hate it and will never wear it again. ( I have neutral skin, so while I can wear just about any color of clothes, makeup is very hard for me because it seems like neither warm nor cool colors work for me. My only shades seem to be light gold and dusty gray/plum. Everything else makes me look funny. :( But I keep trying other colors anyways. Haha. )
