I bought this simply because a lot of people rave about it, comparing these shadows to NARS and MAC, much to my surprised; it was very affordable so I did purchase a few different shades. Such as the white, champagne, black and some other ones as well, in all, I have 20 different shadows all in different colors. The consistency/ shadows are chalky and a lot of fall outs. It’s so hard to work with this shadows, this past assignment, I had to do the eye makeup before the face products, which isn’t easy. Really surprising is that a lot of people rave about it, saying the color payoff is great and dupe for other shadows. I personally do not find this to be true, when I am applying this on my clients, I want to make sure they feel and look 100%. Anything less will absolutely be my fault. To make a long story short, I will more than likely be giving this away to someone. I hope NYX will improve on the consistency so that the color is not as chalky. Disappointed.

This product is horrible! It is supposed to be a glittery lime green but it has no color payoff. I have tried everything in order to make the color show up but I get nothing not even glitter. It does not matter if you have a primer it still will not show up. I usually like NYX eye shadows but this one is a waste of money.

I've just fallen in love with NYX - in particular their jumbo eye and lip pencils as well as their megashine lipgloss. I was also excited to find their single eyeshadows. HUGE disappointment though as they are so brittle and break so easily...I noticed many broken shadows in the display when I was at the store. I then took one shadow and was admiring it and accidentally dropped it (on to a rubberized floor)...the shadow crumbled instantly. Needless to say I was lucky it happened because I didn't buy it. The trios appear to be more durable - haven't yet bought one but will give it a try...

This shadow is terrible! It has just a faint green color when on, with thick, chunky glitters. The glitters don't even stay in place! They fall everywhere. I love NYX shadows, but this one just sits on my desk. Would not purchase again.

i really like NYX a lot and was really excited when i first saw this color in the pot, but when i tried to use it, i was extremely disappointed. i used TFSI as a base and i still had to use a stiff brush and REALLY dig and dig and dig at this to get any kind of color payoff. and like others said, i ended up with glitter all over my face. i even tried tapping the glitter off the brush, didn't help.
totally useless to me. i ended up going to MAC and getting aquavert from the Sugarsweet collection to replace this as my minty green e/s in my collection. would not repurchase, i plan on throwing mine in a swap as an extra.

omg i just got my first haul of nyx shadows and this was the only one i hated when i tried to put my brush in it i realized it was hard and gritty
now i could have dealt with that if the color payoff was good but its TERRIBLE all i got was a bunch of glitter on my face wich made me had to scrub it off messing up my foundation too i will never buy this shadow again

Way too glittery. It just looks bad on the lid, the green color has no payoff.

My first NYX shadow that I wouldnt repurchase. I had the same problems as the reviewer below. WAY too much glitter. It was very rough on my eyelids, very gritty. Too messy, and you really have to pack it on to get a light wash! Not worth the effort or time, but out of all my NYX shadows, this is the only I have had a problem with. Kiwi, Lime Green, or Lime Juice are all similar colors without the issues. NYX is awesome so dont let this discourage you. I do have a swatch of Hot Green in one of my pics in my profile as well as other NYX swatches if you want to check them out.

this is probably the first bad nyx review i have ever written. i was so excited to get hot green eye shadow because i generally love green eye colors with nyx's being superior quality to most. not so much the case with hot green. the swatches on the site and the color in the pot are a mid-tone cool green. applied, i got the worst color payoff EVER and... little green glitter all.over.my.face. the texture was gritty and it was hard to even get product out on my brush. i tried applying it wet with -slightly- better results, getting a minty green color with the glitter globbed up in it. i would not reccomend this nyx eye shadow, but the others in their line are amazing. if you want a fun green, try their LIME GREEN, it's really awesome.
