Skin type: combination. Dry in harsh Canadian winters with some oily t-zone; oilier in summer. Non sensitive.

Let me say that this is my 4th jar of this cream. I first bought it to reduce stretch marks on my belly during pregnancy, but started using it as a night cream in winter time. Since I moved to a very dry and cold area of Canada (New Brunswick), my skin became dull and flaky. I rub it in at night time and end up with smooth, soft skin in the morning. It goes on a little greasy, but absorbs soon enough.

I even wear this during the day under make-up, and find that it does not make me look greasy, but gives me a nice glow instead. I also think the Vitamin E has helped lighten some acne scars. I would have to say this is a MUST for those living in extremely cold and dry climates!

However, I would not recommend using this in the summer. It is a very heavy cream, and in this part of Canada, it gets nasty humid!

I have been using this product on and off since I've been twenty two. At nineteen til then I was using Webber Vitamin E cream in the jar which has been discontinued in Canada. My skin is combination dehydrated. I now limit this cream to the late fall and winter months in Canada when it is cold and windy outside. The heavy and rich texture means that I require very little product, and the cream is a very effective moisturizer, the moisturization lasts unlike other more expensive creams with bigger names. My last jar was purchased three years ago, but Iike I mentioned, I do not use this cream in the spring and summer months because it is just too heavy for me. My skin is plump and smooth using this, but I have to keep it away from my T-zone to avoid looking shiny. I wish they would cut out the less natural ingredients so that it could compete with other more natural creams, but you still can't beat the amount of vitamin E in here regardless. I returned my last jar before I barely started using it because it cracked and unfortunately, so has its replacement. I wouldn't mind sturdier and prettier packaging. Will repurchase.

I love this moisturizer. It's intense moisturizing, so you only need a little. Some may find it greasy/heavy, but that's what I like in a moisturizer - and they have a lighter version for those looking for a lighter effect. The only thing I don't like about it is the "baby powder" scent - I would prefer an unscented version, so I only gave it 4 lippies.

I agree with that it is too heavy for day time, but for night time.. omg.. this is the BEST moisturizer ever! It has the most Vitamin E of any cream I know of, and Vitamin E is one of the best vitamins you can put on your skin.. and with this cream, unlike the oil, the vitamin totally gets into your skin, as the cream is absorbed unlike the oil which seems to only sit on your skin. So get this cream!!!!!! It almost completely erased a scar I had on my face, I'm happy with this product, it's like a miracle cream, and would recommend it to anyone. Try it, but give it time, as the Vitamin takes a while to take effect. It will work on any scar, you just have to be patient with it. WORKS!

I have used this product for three days now and it has been working great will keep you informed if anything changes. So far it has lessened the redness around my cheeks and even out my skin tone.

I had such high expectations for this product, and was really excited to try it out once I bought it. What a mistake i made for applying this to my face and neck. The next day i had this huge, red bumpy rash all over my neck and ears and same on my jaw line. It took serveral days to go away and really hurt. i dismissed it being this product and thought it may have been something else. Then i tried it a couple weeks later and the exact same thing happened. Huge, red bumpy rash that hurt.

I picked up this cream in the drugstore for a family member because it had a high level of vitamin E, which is apparently good for healing skin. He ended up not using it and so I tried it as facial moisturizer, and certainly didn't expect it to be as good as it is. My skin is dry and this moisturizer is very hydrating and rich, and has visibly improved the tone and softness of my skin. I wish I had a before and after photo to show you! It seems to make my skin smooth and plump. It doesn't seem greasy to me at all, but I have always had dry skin. I like to vary the skin products I use, and this one has earned a place in the night-time moisturizer line up. Some people are allergic to Vitamin E and an allergic reaction may show up as contact dermatitis - reddened/itching/blistered skin, so you may want to try a patch test

I love this product! I have a normal skin that sometimes tends to be oilier, and sometimes drier, depending on make-up routine, hormones, diet ets. So I just randomly bought this product aimed at dry and very dry skin because I like the ingredients. So far my experience is great - my skin feels soft and hydrated! And the greatest plus is that this cream does not break me out which is so rare. I will continue to use it and very likely repurchase.

I think this is my 2nd tub of this stuff and I still haven't gotten used to it. This stuff stings my eyes when I put it close to my under eye area. It gave me a few breakouts at first but when I got used to it I was fine. For a while I thought this was my HG moisturizer but it's not. I can't stand this stuff!

I have started using this with my complex 15 moisturizer since i have found that i need something a little heavier at night for my dry skin. It does a great job with really moisturizing my skin. I would not want to wear this during the day though as it would make my makeup slide all over my face and would look greasy very quickly. Over all great product in terms of quality. I would prefer to have it in a pump style bottle though since it is slightly unhygienic to stick your fingers in the jar.

Update winter 2010 - Just too heavy for facial use and I thought I would try and use on up hands, etc. I used half a jar and threw out. Changed to will not repurchase and lowered the packaging rating to 1, The jar cracked.
***********************************************
Would suggest Complex 15 (under $10. for the tube) if someone wants a low cost moisturizer

I bought a jar of Jamieson ProVitamina Moisture Rich Nourishing Cream 30 000 IU from SDM on sale for $7.99. Huge jar contains 120 ml or 4.2 oz. This is a rich basic moisturizer. I use it at night only on my neck. I have also used a little under my eyes.
Pros: No parabens
Has the logo (Bunny) and states "No animal testing"
cheap!
Good for dry skin. I like to apply a treatment product and then layer this over it.

Cons: Too heavy for day time

I first heard about this from a co-worker when I got a burn under my eye when working fast food. I had a burn mark for a few months. My co-worker told me to use it and she swore by it (she had burns before too). Within months everything cleared up and you can't seven see the marks.

I use it every night now as a night cream. it s greesy but like others said, once it settles it's not bad. I also like to use it on my upper arms as they're pretty dry. Definitely notice a difference there.

I wasn't happy with this product, but that's probably because it's not good for oily skin.

It was just way too heavy for my skin, and wouldn't absorb properly. I gave it to my mother and she seems to be having better luck with it, as her skin is dry.

I am really happy with this! Lately I've been trying products like crazy to cope with accutane combined with very dry weather, and this is definetly what has been working the best for me. I actually broke out a bit when I first started this, though I don't know if this was to blame as I was experimenting with a lot of products. I stuck with it through the breakout (it was pretty mild) and Im am very glad I did because since then my skin has been clear and this cream is actually one of the only things that has helped take down the redness of my face and the redness of my acne scars. I find if I give this a few minutes it does absorb well, and suprisingly Im still able to put on my neutrogena spf 55 over top of this and not feel like I have a lot of heavy crap on my face. Pior to this I was getting dry spots on my face and body that would become dry to the point of getting scabby, and now they are completely healed. I think the intense moisture combined with high vit E content has been the perfect combo of healing and moisture for me. I am so HAPPY and relieved to have finally found something that works! Ive been using it long enough now I am finally going to go return aaall the other crap Ive been messing around with! I will update after I finish with accutane ot note if it becomes too rich for my skin etc..... Until then LOVE.
*EDIT* so once I finished accutane I started only using this as spot treatment for dry areas, and for daily use switched to the vit E gel-cream from the same brand. It's a fanastic product as well. If this is too rich for anyone I would highly recommend that. It's similar to clinique DDMG or moisture surge but actually better IMO. Great product as well.

I wouldn't want to use any facial product for as long as this jar is large, it would be hanging around far too long. This is an extremely rich cream, and I have very dry skin, it did not absorb well at all. It also made my mascara smudge. Also did not improve my skin.

This is a great cream. I was spending major $$$ on Yon-Ka's Masque #1 Hydrating masque to put under my moisturizer to combat dryness and sensitive skin. This product does the same thing and eliminates the need for me to take the extra step moisturizing for waaay less. Two months of consistently using this as a morning moisturizer is really working for my skin. I haven’t broken out from it, and my skin texture looks very healthy and hydrated. I also bought another jar for work to use on my hands. My dry hands and ragged cuticles were completely cleared up in five days. A very effective product that truly works and delivers great results without having to spend a ridiculous amount of money. I am VERY impressed with how something so simple works so well. **Edit: I've started using this on my hands and feet as well, and really love it. My hands are often neglected, and this heals them up very quickly. I also neglect my feet too, and have had some really painful cracks in my heels. After using this daily for a week, it made a huge difference and healed up the cracks. As a treatment cream with so many uses, this is definitely worth a try.

I got this because of the great reviews on MUA (and it was on sale at PharmaPlus).
It definitely didn't make me break out.
My skin responded pretty well to this cream.
It is very greasy and it stays on your face for awhile before being absorbed.
I have extremely dry skin, especially on the cheek area.
This provides a relief, but not long lasting.
I put it on my face after I take my night shower (around 9pm).
Before I go to bed (around midnight), I have to re-apply (but not as much) it on my cheeks.

I use this in the morning as well, let it sit for a bit before putting on my Marcelle moisturizer with SPF15.
They give me a decent base for 2 hours before I start noticing the flakey skin on my cheeks.

Would I buy this again? Maybe.
I'm still in search for my HG moisturizer.
So far, this does the job for me :)

**UPDATE (4/27/09): after using it for awhile now, I've finally seen the difference. It definitely nourished my skin without breaking it out. I don't have to re-apply the cream like I did before. Will repurchase for sure :)

**MORE UPDATE (6/2/09): this is now my morning moisturizer. It might not work for most people (because it's a really thick cream and makes your face looks shiny!), but it works well for me. I guess I have a very dry and parched skin :( But this cream provides a great canvas for my make up :) I put this on before my Marcelle oil free with spf15 moisturizer. This combo works extremely well on me

I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEEEEEEEE this product!
This is exactly what im looking for!! First i will admit it kinda does go on a little bit greasy... but mind you my skin is combination. I bought this because i was staying at my bf's house and i had no moisture cream whatsoever, my cheeks were peeling and dry, and my forehead was getting little pimples my whole face was a mess, from partying so much. I bought this product because it was a good price 9.97 canadian. Now the part when i mentioned it went on greasy.. but my faced SUCKS UP EVERYTHING so i think it was a good thing for me.. maybe bad for others.. but its PERFECT when i apply makeup over it.. because other creams werent moisturizing enough so when i put my foundation or powder on it looks soo..unnatural and blotchy. This is also a great night time cream, its good to part around your eyes. I JUST LOVE THIS CREAM and im really happy i bought it. This cream is made for dry skin anyways.. so if you have oily skin then of course its gonna be horrid for u.

Ill have to be the first to leave a negative for this product. It just didnt work for me. I have very dry, acne prone skin. This made my face get so greasy I could literally see new pimples popping up. However, I gave it to my mother (50+) and it makes her skin look nice. She uses it as a night cream.
