I used it with EVOO mixed in and let it sit for a couple hours or over night, and my course dry curls are amazingly hydrated. I could rave about this product for pages, it is a must have for me because its one of the few things that can tame my hair!

I have long bleached hair and I find some of the best hair conditioners in the 'ethnic' hair care section.
This lotion is AWESOME ! it smells light and does not go on too thick. I use a small amount on my hair as a leave in conditioner. But I also found It works great as a hand lotion, cuticle moisturizer, and light face cream to use at night.
And the price is great ...like 3.00 at Walmart. For 3 products in one, that's pretty cheap.

this is one of my all time favorite hair products! I am on my like 5th bottle :) I am white, with fine, damaged hair. I use a lot as a deep conditioner then wash out, or I use a little scrunched in my hair to make soft waves, or I use it on wet hair before I blowdry.. be careful, because if you use too much your hair can look greasy. I love how coconut oil is the #2 ingredient in here, along with all the other great ingredients! you can also use this on your face or hands :) I never break out and my skin and hair eats up oil like a sponge :) it lasts a long time and I will use this forever! I feel like it makes my hair super healthy and grow fast!

I love it but it smells sickly. I used this on natural hair and put my air up in a bun, I love how neat and 'slicked back' it makes my bun look, not the frizzy, dry hot mess it usually does... but I hate the smell, its really stong and sickly IMHO, like cheap perfume .. and the smell lasts quite a while unfortunately . Kinda makes me feel self concious when getting close to people and makes me feel a bit nauseous.. I can't wait for my wash day.. i'll have to hunt for something that does the same thing but has a better scent.. what a shame .
Update.. so I figured out I was using way too much than it was designed for :) , thats why it smelled so strong. Guess I could get the more moisturing version next time.
Pros:
Tames afro hair
doesn't smell bad after a while ( like EVOO)
makes detangling easier
hair does appear a little straighter
Con:
strong smell, so you need to use a little

I won't give this a bad review because it's not fab for me but, my Mom began using this and it's made a huge difference in the condition of her hair (relaxed 4aish). However for my hair (natural thick 3b/c) it "meh". My hair doesn't really like oils. My hair doesn't absorb them and they sit on top of my hair. I could see using like half a pea of this in my hair while it curly but, for straight styles no way and I'm pretty sure this caused breakouts along my hairline. My hair isnt really dry and my scalp is kind of oily like 2-3 days after i wash it. It does smell good and I'll most likely keep this around and go back to it occasionally. If my ends feel dry I prefer something less greasy like Herbal Essence's long term relationship leave in.

My dad is black and uses this in his hair and after reading the bottle one day I put a little in my hair before flat ironing it. IT IS GREAT! It gives my hair moisture and shine without getting it greasy! It doesn't have a strong smell and has really helped to reduce my breakage.
IT CAN ALSO BE USED AS A HEAT PROTECTANT! : ) need I say any more?

So This is what I think: IT 'S AWESOME!!! The only problem is getting it out of the bottle at times. And those of you who complain it's too thick: nope!!! you just use a little bit and I spray a bit of water to make it easily spreadable. And that is another reason why it's dirt cheap, it goes a long way. Nice smell, wonderfully creamy. I think I'll pick up a bottle of the one for girls, just cuz I like mixing up the smell : )

i randomly picked this up because my hair was feeling really dry. at first i didn't like it. i thought my hair would soak this up, but it just made my hair look oily. but after a few days, i have noticed that my hair has been more shiny and soft. i just use this on my hair wet or dry as a leave in conditioner. if i were going out and wanted to use it... i would use a DIME size amount. a little really goes a long way. but when i am at home, a quarter size is enough. and i put it on maybe three times throughout the day.
mmm, i might come back and review this again after i have used it for a longer period of time. as of now, it's pretty good!

I don't hate this, but I don't love it. In a way, it reminds me of Pink Oil Moisturizer *ducks*
I've tried using a little, using a lot, on wet hair, dry hair and it just doesn't moisturize.
On dry hair, it's too heavy and sits on top of my hair. on wet hair, it's just meh and takes forever to absorb.
The smell is nice and it's super thick (which makes getting it out of the bottle a task in itself), but I just can't get with it.
I'm still searching for a moisturizer...

I love this when I'm wearing my hair curly. It moisturizes and keeps my hair in place without being sticky or leaving residue. It is quite heavy so those with finer hair may not like this. Better suited for those with dry hair. I use a quarter amount and rake it through my wet hair. I then let it air-dry. My curls feel soft and they hold their shape throughout the day. I like that there are not too many chemicals loaded in this and the smell doesn't clash with my perfume.

I love this product!! I received a trial bottle and used it right up, so I went out to buy the full-sized bottle. The formula is very nice and silky and I don't need much to put in my hair. It moisturizes very well also. The one thing I don't like about the bottle is that sometimes it takes a while for the lotion to squeeze out! I have to unscrew the top and get it out that way. Oh well...the things you have to do for beauty! LOL I also find that I tend to use it most when it gets closer to the time for a relaxer touch-up and I am stretching in-between processes. It works very well at that time when I am either blow-drying my hair, or flat-ironing my hair. Definite repurchase!

This is nice stuff, but for the life of me I cannot use it after I wash my hair, it's makes it too greasy. I use this sometimes as a treatment before I wash my hair and it does a decent job. Just spray my hair wet a little and apply this to my hair from the ear and all the way to the ends. I leave in for maybe 30 minutea and it does a decent job. I don't care for the smell. It's just okay.

I'm AA with natural, 4a, thick hair that stretches to the bottom of my shoulder blades. I apply it to my hair before twisting and my hair stays moisturized for days, even when I unravel the twists for a crinkly look. It also works well for wearing my hair out in the winter because it keeps my hair from drying out too quickly. I also rub it into my hands after styling and it leaves them nice and soft. It is thick and a little trouble to get out the bottle sometimes, but I don't care because it works so well on my hair.

I am Asian with thin hair, and my hair was getting totally fried from heat styling. I put a dime sized amount on the ends of my wet, shoulder length hair on days when I am going to wear a ponytail or when I'm not going out. Then I shampoo the next day and my hair looks like normal hair, not dried, frizzy, or poofy. It looks way greasy when it's in my hair, hence the ponytail days. It has a combination of oils and does have silicone in it. Not recommended if you are anti-parabens.
Ingredients: water, coconut oil, sorbitol, petrolatum, cyclopentasiloxane, safflower seed oil, castor seed oil, cetyl esters, cetearyl alcohol, sodium cetearyl sulfate, stearic acid, olive oil, PPG-3 benzyl ether myristate, dimethicone (aka silicone), glyceryl sterate, DMDM hydantoin, methylparaben, propylparaben, propylene glycol, triethanolamine, carbomer, disodium EDTA, GHT, parfum, benzyl alcohol, benzyl salicylate, geraniol, hexyl cinnamal, lilial, d-limonene, linalool, lyral, methyl ionone, blue #1, yellow #5.

It smells really nice! I like it a lot when I straighten my 3a/3b curls, but my hair has been dyed and bleached over 15 separate times so I hate straightening it now. Seeing as this protects from heat styling, I thought it would be good but I haven't noticed anything amazing from it, it doesn't *help* to straighten my hair really. It leaves it really soft though.
I hate the packaging, the bottle is really hard to squeeze and I have to turn it upside down and bash it on the table to get any out!

This is a product that is just not for me. I left my hair feeling very dry and greasy. Yes i did put a little bit because this product will become greasy if you put a lot but it still left my hair dry. i will probably just give it away to someone who may find it useful since it is no good in my hair.
UPDATE!!! I figured out a way to use it so that my hair likes it. I must only use a little of the product. I can only use it couples times a week or else my hair will get weighed down. And now it keeps my hair moist. I love it

I found out about this product from one of the hair boards. The smell is great and you do not need a lot in your hair. A little goes a long way. My hair feels much softer and has a nice subtle sheen to it. I wish that it was a little cheaper but it is worth it.

I am not African American. My hair is pretty healthy because of using olive oil. I noticed that this does not contain any silicone. As a huge plus, it contains castor oil though. If your hair is thin, you should stay away from this or use very little amount of it. This basically soaks into my hair. Unlike other products with silicone that end up causing itching in my scalp and stiffness and dryness in my hair, this keeps my hair healthy and beautiful. By using this, it is impossible to have any frizz. Use very little of it and when your hair is wet. Just apply it to the ends and work toward your scalp. In comparison with argan oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, ojon oil and others in the market, this by far is the best-
