this is my new quest.. to find more Hot Spots!
this is one gorgeous pink fuschia and the application is smoother than butter and satin. I can't think of another brand that has this kind of smooth application.
Will hunt down and commit mayhem for it!!

Hot spot is one of my favorite lipsticks. It is light enough to wear during the day and becomes very bright if you build it up. I compliments my skin tone very well. A lot of my friends purchased it after seeing me wearing it. it's a great product, the lipstick isn't drying and gives a light glossy finish.

I got this at VS sale, so I paid around $ 2-3 for this. I love this color!! Hot pink, goes on smooth. Creamy texture. I wear it with maybelline shinesensational l/g in treat me sweet. Adds a nice shine and scent, imo.

I got this during the VS 75% off sale. I only paid around $3 or so. I dont normally wear strong lip colors, but I figured i was only paying a couple bucks. The quality of this lipstick gives MAC a run for its money, in my opinion. The texture of the product is so rich and creamy, and the staying power is unbelievable. I love the hot pink color which isnt too cool for my medium olive skin. Sometimes pink lipsticks make me appear ashen because they have so much "blue" in them. This lip color is fabulous. I wear it over Laura Gellar Lip Spackle (primer). I usually exfoliate my lips, hydrate them, blot excess lip-balm away with a tissue, apply Lip Spackle primer, apply lip liner (I also got a few of the VS brand lipliners at the sale), THEN apply the lipstick - you can blot again if you want to get rid of shine/excess.
Sounds like a lot of steps, but in my opinion they are all necessary for pulling off a perfect bold lip. If I don't do all these steps, the lipstick - nomatter what brand - ends up sliding around, smudging over the borders of the lip, feathering into creases, and looking really awful like some kid playing dressup with their mom's makeup. This "Hot Spot" color is perfect to wear matte or satiny, I wouldn't go so far as to apply gloss on top of it because then it might look like 'clown lips'... but maybe if you have small/thin lips you can apply gloss on top.
The packaging is standard for lipstick, so it travels easily. No complaints. I would purchase this again, especially if VS decides to put it on sale again.

I'm really shocked by how much I like this lipstick. True to its name, it is indeed a hot pink, but it looks fantastic on me, and I can't wear bright pinks with blue undertones well at all. I feared I would look like a crazy lady if I wore this, but with a little pink blush I actually looked fresh, and dare I say, a bit younger. It helps that it's a creamy color without any shimmer which lends some dignity, and it is also springtime, when bright pinks are particularly right with the world. So, don't let the color intimidate you; be fearless!
