This is the second Dove body-wash I've used. I used the one for dry/winter skin for the longest time and then switched to this one.

Pros:
- Smells AMAZING. Like roses. :)
- Feels silky as it glides on skin
- Cleanses really well.
- Somewhat moisturizing.
- Good price for the amount.

Cons:
- Still have to use lotion after using this body wash ... only on my legs though (they're super dry all the time).

Would definitely recommend/repurchase.

This is a very thick and creamy luxurious body wash that smells devine! When you sqeeze a dollop on your mesh puff, it's so thick that when you turn it upside down, it stays put. This bodywash leaves the skin feeling clean and soft without any residue. The scent is a mixture of slightly sweet and powdery. The scent goes away when your shower is done. I also love that it doesn't upset my sensitive skin.

I really like this bodywash. It's very creamy, but it lathers up nicely. However, it isn't foamy, so if you like a -really- rich lather, this isn't for you. It makes your skin so soft, but you still feel clean (not squeaky clean though...so, if you're into that, this isn't for you). I really like the smell as well. Also, I have oily skin and am breakout prone on my chest and back (not so much anymore because pregnancy seemed to clear up my bacne/chest acne) and, at first, I was worried this would break me out as it feels so rich and doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling, but it doesn't. at. all. In fact, I wanted to try using a body wash with salicylic acid to clear up any existing bacne, and THAT broke me out, so I really recommend this.

It's super creamy and moisturizing. I used it during the harsh and dry Canadian winter -- and for the first time I didn't use body lotion in winter after I shower. It smells great and it's pretty cheap when you get it on sale. It gets a bit hard to squeeze out from the bottle (maybe because I let it sit in my freezing room -- I have windows open during winter) but I think it's just the property of the cream itself. It's a very good buy and don't miss it out for winter.

This contains sulfates but it is ok at moisturizing. made me break out on my back though :S

I've been using this for about a year. Love it. I didn't pick this scent though, I have the Vanilla one. But I didn't see the point in making a whole new review for a different smell. :P

This stuff is super creamy, and especially nice for my skin in the winter, to keep it from drying out. I don't have to worry about moisturizing immediately when I get out of the shower. It cleans well (some other oil body washes I've tried didn't leave my skin feeling overly clean), smells great, moisturizes, and is fairly inexpensive.

The only thing I'm not happy about is they changed where the lid is. It used to be on the bottom of the bottle, but now it's on the top. Because of the shape of it, you can't set it upside-down to get the product to pool in the lid (like it used to do all by itself with the lid on the bottom). It's also not as easy to open now. I used to be able to flip it open and closed with just my thumb. But now, for the most part, I need 2 hands to open or. Or I end up ripping the whole flip-top lid right off the bottle. Which is kind of useless.

The product itself is fabulous. I just wish they would rethink the bottle.... again.

This is a fantastic body wash. I am typically a bar soap user but with winter arriving my skin was so miserable. Dry, tight and itchy. I had painful red patches almost like a sunburn. I set out to find the richest body wash I could and ended up with this one. I am so impressed with it. After one use my skin was soft, smooth and even toned. Just a little squeeze on a bath puff gives you lots of rich, creamy lather. Just like that my winter dry skin is gone. This also makes a wonderful shaving cream. The scent is soft and feminine. I will definitely repurchase.

Pros: Very moisturizing, scent lingers after shower, scent is nice, lathers well.
I have the one in the red bottle, so it may be different than the new packaging one.
Bad thing for me is I'm switching over to products not tested on animals, and Dove does test on animals :( Sad day for me.

Ok. So I was in walmart getting ready to purchase the Olay total effects 7in1 body wash, and decided not to get it (even though I absolutely LOVED my free sample of it) because I really didn't want to fork over 8 bucks for 13oz of body wash.

SO...my alternative? Dove Cream Oil body wash (only 6 bucks for 24 oz :D). I got the red one, I think it's the rosewood and cocoa butter one.
Anyways....
This is a pretty good body wash. Moderate-everyday moisture. Smells good. Rinses off easily. Overall it's a good+ product. I still would prefer the Olay one, but this will do until I decide that 8 bucks is an okay price for a bodywash. Lol

I was in Walmart yesterday looking for my favorite Dove shampoo, conditioner and the Cream Oil Ultra Velvet Body Wash with Rosewood and Cocoa Butter scent and noticed that all the packaging has changed so I had a bit of a difficult time finding my favorite Cream Oil and had to sniff them all until I finally found my fave. This Cream Oil scent used to come in the red bottle, but now it is white with a bit of red graphics, I also noticed that it is now formulated with 'Nutrium Moisture'. The product is extremely creamy and rich and leaves the skin incredibly soft and scented after your shower, I could smell it for a few hours after my morning shower! I love the clean feminine scent of this body wash, it is my HG! This shower cream would be perfect for anyone that wants that clean soft smell that lingers on the skin for the office or any other place/situation where perfume is not acceptable, I really eish they would make a creamy velvety rich body cream with the cream oil scents and skin softening benefits, I truly love this! If you haven't tried it, just go out to the mall and sniff a few and you too will fall in love with the scents, and if you decide to purchase a bottle you will looooove how soft your skin feels and smells! Very clean soapy-like not perfumy scent.

Edit 8.21.10 - Bumped into an actual Unilver Representative in the body wash aisle at Wal mart today. Didn't know that's who she was till we got to talking and I complained about the new Dove bodywash bottles. I told her this was the best body wash on the market, but I wouldn't buy it anymore because of the awful bottle. You can't turn it upside down and stand it up that way because of the lid, and you can't get even close to all the product out if you DON'T store it upside down, so you end up having to sort of lean it against other things to prop it up. And the when you do use it, it is very hard to get the lid to even open. Anyway..... she told me I am NOT alone, and they are getting many many similar complaints. Just FYI for those interested.

This product is absolutely fantastic!!! Love all the fragrances to choose from (have tried them all). Delivers a rich lather that is exceptionally moisturizing, but doesn't leave a greasy film on my skin. I have had no problems with skin irritations or side effects. The price on sale is great, I usually pay $3 or less for a bottle. Highly recommend!

I think this is a great body wash for dry winter skin. I came across this when my skin was really suffering from the winter and the water in my apartment (i moved away for college & could not get used the water!..it dries out my skin so bad) and this was a lifesaver. My skin actually felt smooth and moisturized and looked a lot healthier too! The smell is great as well.

After trying Olay's Creme Ribbons body wash in the purple bottle, I can say without hesitation that Dove's Cream Oil Bodywash is more moisturizing for very dry skin like mine. I believe it does have more oil and that' s the reason for the success. It will clog your razor, so you'll want to use an actual shaving foam for that job (I strongly recommend Skintimates in "Baby Soft" because it's also moisturizing). And it won't replace your need to use a moisturizing lotion post-shower but it will certainly aid in keeping your skin more comfortable and less prone to dry, itchy flakes. It has a heavy feel and an exotic, if subtle, smell, which may take a little getting used to. This is not your Mama's Dove bar. It's better.

I have this in the cherry blossom and almond scent. Smells really good and the scent lingers long after you shower, which is pleasant. But it dries out my skin which is strange since it's suppose to be 1/4 cream. So I have to moisturize right after after I shower. It's too bad because it has a nice lather and smells really good.

I have bought this body wash a few times, and it remains the most moisturizing I have used. I LOVE it. I usually put lotion on too after the shower because I have really dry, itchy skin in the winter. But if I happen to skip the lotion step for whatever reason, my skin still feels good and non irritated. I actually like the scent, it is similar to the normal dove scent. It smells calming to me. I haven't found a body wash that hydrates better than this, so this might be my hg for it's moisturizing properties alone.

I'm not a body wash girl. I love my bar soaps and beauty bars but my skin is sooooo dry and itchy and I get up so gawd-awful early to go to work every morning I need to shower and jump into my clothes. No time for body lotion. I originally went to purchase Deep Moisture as per P'ville, but the fragrance was just too strong! This product appeared to be what I wanted. Ultra creamy and softly scented. Tried it this morning for the first time and I loved it! I feel both clean and moisturized and the best part, I can hardly smell it on myself. Will repurchase.

I bought the Jasmine one and it smells like heaven, but I agree, that it totally clogs up my razor (which are EXPENSIVE to get the refills) and it leaves a residue on ME and I can't stand that. I guess it works differently on different people, but even though I LOVE LOVE the smell, I won't be repurchasing... :(

I use this, and I have the Blue Bottle (Supreme Cream Oil Body Wash Sleek Satin)-MY FAVE.! & The Dove Cream Oil Bar. This one the Rosewood and Cocoa Butter I received first as a Stocking stuffer for Xmas and Wow-weeeeeeee. AMAZING STUFF!!!!!!!! I was skeptical to the extreme about these Soaps but The way they make me feel..the coating of Baby Oil after towel drying. The Richness it provides..THE FAB. SMELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! Seriously I cant stop touching and smelling my skin which lingers all day which is a HUGE plus-a-roo for me :) I'll keep on buying these cuz They kick ass. How can you not love these? and they make me feel Clean too. LOOOOOOOVE, LOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! Highly Reccommended go give it a try! & if you dont like it send the bottle to me I'll finish it for you lmao.

P.S., This stuff works even better without a pouf. Just pour it in your hands and rub it all over..AMAZING!!!!!! & More Moisturized feel and the scent lasts longer! Awesome! Give it a try! Its heaven!!!!!!!!
