although this is my first kabuki brush i wasnt all that pleased. I spent ten dollars on this product and even though it wasn't all that expensive i could of bought a better brush for the same price as this one. Its an over all good brush, im just not please with the quality or price of it.

I used to use Posh Kabuki Brush. It is my first Kabuki brush with my MMU. I love it so much and keep it for almost 5 years before it absorb lots of power so it think it time to change a new one. I search and gather lots of information.
I found out that Posh and Essence Of Beauty Kabuki Brush are the best. First I decide to order Posh online but I found this review so I went to CVS to get Essence of Beauty.
I try and I love it too. Essence Of Beauty less smooth than Posh but it is a bit bigger and cheaper.

Pros:
Very soft and fluffy.
Distributes and blends make-up beautifully.
Lasts for about... FOREVER!

Cons:
Shedded terribly when first purchased, but the after two washes it didn't.
Words wore off.

I love this brush, I definitely recommend. When you first purchase this it will shed, but it is totally worth it!

This is my HG Kabuki! I'm surprised by how high-quality this seems--MAC 182 has got nothing on this baby! It is SO big too--a few swipes in less than 7 secs covers my entire face! It blends powder beautifully and sheds very rarely; even when I wash it (i use olive oil & dishwashing soap), there are little to no hairs that come out. It is perfect for my oily skin when paired with Maybelline Dream Matte, and even comes with a little case for travel! I've found it so handy. And for the price, it can't be beat! I found mine for about $8.00 at CVS. It is definitely better than e.l.f.'s skunk kabuki, that one was too small, didn't pick up enough product to my liking, and did not give me that airbrushed look that I like. This EB brush is so soft, dense, and gives me a flawless, matte finish! Love love love

This brush is so unbelievably soft! with the price it is definitely worth a try. the bristles are very densely packed and the dome/brush itself is quite big it is good for setting powder and PRESSED mineral foundation. Since the brush is so dense it is not good (IMO) for loose powders because it picks up too much product (ESPECIALLY pigmented blushes or easily caked on powders). Also the many times i have used this blush it has never shed! I love essence of beauty brushes, they are always great quality for a great price. Even though i have only seen them at CVS, i think they are easily available. THis brush is also great for travel since it is very short and easily portable. Love this!

For me, this brush is too rough....I returned it right away. Instead I got Everyday mineral flat top kabuki brush and long handled kabuki brush and I love them so much better!!! They are both 12 dollars so I'm happy with what I got.

This brush did shed a LOT after I first bought it. After 1-2 weeks of use it's finally starting to stay put. I use this brush to put on my mineral makeup. It's so fast and easy because of the large size, and it's inexpensive too! Great brush for the price, you definitely get what you pay.

This is a great kabuki brush, especially for the price. It's just as good as any other kabuki brush I've tried and at a much lower price. It's pretty big with tan hair and it's great for buffing in MAC mineralize skinfinish natural. The lettering on the handle did rub off after the first wash but that's not a big deal.

i love this brush... i have really sensitive skin and it is easily irritated by other brushes. i have the mac 180 brush, which is great, but this is softer--the 180 is great for foundation application, but find that the 109 is easier on my skin, and the 180 eats up my mineralize skinfinish natural. this kabuki feels great on my face, i don't feel bristling when i use it, it doesn't even feel like a brush. the other brushes from essence of beauty are just ok, if you buy only one brush from essence of beauty--THIS SHOULD BE IT.

I absolutely love this kabuki brush. It is by far the best face brush out of all the essence of beauty ones. It's soft yet very dense, perfect for applying MAC's MSF and any other mineral powder. For me, it doesn't shed at all. Maybe the occasional one or two bristles that stick out. I haven't had any problems with this brush. Because it is so dense, though, it is a little hard to wash but it's nothing too hard. I just used extra virgin olive oil and a gentle soap + sulphate free shampoo and it came out perfectly. I am going to purchase another as a backup in case I ever lose it or it for some reason gets discontinued. I would recommend this kabuki to anyone who doesn't feel like paying over $40 for a MAC kabuki :)

Not all essence of beauty brushes are the best in my opinion. The 6 piece travel kit is my least favorite. The crease brushes are petty good, the duo ended brushes were great, but this out of all of the brushes is my favorite! first think that i noticed at the store was that the way it was packaged could effect the shape of the brush. After i was in the car and got it out of the package i started running it back and forth on my hand and arm. it started sheding imediatly but then i also noticed that it was so so so so so soft! i got home and the first thing i did was i washed it. I washed it how TiffanyD washes her(she has a vid on youtube called washing your brushes(the easy way)) brushes and it got rid of all the sheding, made it even softer, stayed the same shape, and worked fine after. the brush really works well with my sheer cover mineral foundation and i cant ask for more:) great perchase since it was only $10! i want to see how it compares to the sonia kashuk large kabuki though:)

This is one of my least favorite brushes from Essence of Beauty. I found this brush very hard to wash and also very prickly and harsh on my skin. This brush also sheds like none other.

Really soft and fluffy. It's also really big, which makes it easy to get my makeup done in a snap. Hasn't shed a single hair yet, and I've had it for about two weeks. Maybe I just got the fluke? haha. Love it though!!! Would definitely rebuy and recommend to anyone :)
EDIT: Washed it with shampoo, ad the next day it shed like CRAZY. :(

What??? Why did this stupid brush get 4 stars?? I don't like it! I got this when I was 14 or so. I bought this because it was very cheap but it's bad. I hate all the essence products!

I use this to apply a thin layer of powder (currently Maybelline Dream Matte) and buff it out afterwards. It gives even coverage and a smooth, natural look.

this brush is good for applying mineral foundation to bare skin, but for applying powder over liquid foundation i don't find it as useful. the brush sheds and it sticks to my face. it is a very soft brush though, not prickly and feels good on the skin.

Works really good with Bare Escentuals mineral foundation. Only con is it's really big and extra fluffy, it makes it hard to clean.

I really love this brush it works amazing. I use it to blend out my blush/bronzer, apply mineral veil (BE & HG) and to aplly MAC FIX+ rose. It does the perfect job of givng me a soft look with no harsh lines. I wash it every week with baby shampoo and warm water. I've had it for a year. It inexpensive and it does beter than most high end brushes. I keep it in the little ziplock case it came in and it always comes out perfect even if its been stuck in my purse under books. I would definately reccommend and repurchase.
