I have this and the Fall New York palette. I think I like Fall slightly more as the lip colours are more pigmented. But this is still and excellent palette. The shadow are nice and light for a soft pretty look, although really a bit to shimmery for my complete liking and a bit of a chalky texture too. Blush is great everyday blush, slightly chalky but really not a problem and stays on well. Easy to wear lip colour in cool toned pinks. Very moisturising too. Both Fall and spring new york palette are great for fair cool toned skin. People say the lippies smell bad, but I didn't find it a problem, I could smell them but it disappeared once on my lips and did not bother me at all. I think these palette are great value, reasonably good quality considering the price and I love the all in one packaging which is very convenient for travelling with.

This is probably my favourite of all the Mark Flip For It palettes and the first one I bought. It really is the most perfect face brightening palette ever largely thanks to the wonderful pink blush. The eyeshadows are light pink and pale gold, with a hint of shimmer but not too much, especially for day. You can use either all over the lid but I highlight with the gold and use the pink up to the crease. I never thought I would wear pink eyeshadow (I’m a redhead with blue eyes) but the shade is so subtle and light that it looks perfectly natural on me, not at all jarring.

The blush is divine, looks like a natural flush and blends on to the skin so easily. The lipsticks and glosses are sheer and natural, again perfect for a summery daytime fresh look. I don’t mind the quite strong bubblegum fragrance but I guess if you are particularly sensitive to fragrance then it might bother you. The smell doesn’t last on the lips once it’s been applied though so it’s really only obvious when applying the products.

I have to say, I get compliments EVERY time I wear this palette, people always say I look awake and fresh and for me that really is something, I usually look knackered!

I have pale skin and blond hair and the colors work perfectly. I used the palette on my wedding day and it was beautiful!

I agree with all the other reviews. This palate is lovely! Everything is so subtle and flattering on my very fair skin. The only think i particularly dislike about it is the smell of the lipgloss. It's pretty terrible. Overwhelming bubble gum is not my thing. It's really a shame because if they didn't smell so bad I'd go rush out and try other colours in the filp it collection. Thankfully the sheer lipsticks don't smell so terrible, just the gloss. It's so hard to find a palate for a god price that has shades that are all wearable and flattering. This definitely fits the bill. I love how portable and sturdy it is. Definitely a travel essential. I may still look into the other shades if this smell doesn't get the worst of me. I do really love everything else about it. It's the only thing that made me take off a lippie.

***EDIT***
After owning this for several months I find myself not using it very often. Honestly, the stench of it just overwhelms me. Perhaps I'll scoop out the lip products and put something else in their place. I don't think i would buy this again, nor will I purchase it in any other colour unless they change the scent.

I wouldn't buy it again because it is already of a generous volume! I really love the low-key colors. The eyeshadows are very elegant. They bright up your eyes but hide themselves. (Great for Eastern Asian eyes!) Usually Eastern Asian eyes look turgid with pinkish eyeshadow, but it was magical that the Pink in this palette is just icy-cool and wont plump up things. The blush is not so special, but definitely fit for everyone if you just want to look healthy and beaming. The glosses are of the same nature as the eyeshadows, easy and chic. The design of the packaging is very cute. The only prolem is that the lid doesn't close tight...... And I wish it had left some space for brushes. If it came with brushes, you could everywhere with it, plus a foundation and mascara.

New York is so cute! The packaging is nice and sturdy and I didn't ram my finger into the gloss (yet!) Here's my first take:

The eyeshadows and blush are Easter egg pastels with surprisingly nice pigment. There are pale pink and lemon eyeshadows, both with shimmer but still daytime appropriate. These shades will work nicely either as an allover wash or as an underbrow highlighter with a matte shade in the crease. The blush is a baby soft matte pink, great for PPPs, and it's the highlight of the palette for me.

***FLIP CAREFULLY***

The lipglosses have a strong bubblegum fragrance, stronger than Rimmel's, so if scent bothers you, be forewarned. The top row of glosses are very sheer, a rosy coral and a mauve that are both nearly clear on me. The bottom row of lipglosses are softer and have a tad more pigment. There are a nude and a light frosty pink, which is the only one that actually shows up. Don't expect much color from any of these lipcolors, but I'll enjoy having them to touch up or to dab on over lipstick. The pans of e/s and blush are quite generous, so I would recommend chosing your Flip For It based on these. All in all, this is a good value, very nice but not earthshattering palette.

Heh. This is a good palette! I have been buying mark stuff for about 2 years and have liked everything except the perfumes. I never have much cared for palettes and wind up not using them once I get them but this one is perfect for every day and I can toss it in my backpack for touch ups after I use it in the morning. The colors are all good, not crazy or glittery, the palette itself is sturdy and I can use every single color in it. It's a pretty mix of shades for pale skins and you can't beat the price. I have never been a brand name snob and I have found most of the mark colors and makeup products to be just as good as MAC, Longo and the other big names and a great deal less money. Suits me just fine.

Although I am about 15 years past Mark's target demographic, I'm a big fan of most Mark products. This palette is no exception. I saw the ad for it in Lucky mag and immediately popped on E-bay -- got it for less than the suggested retail of $18. However, I think it's even a good value at full price. The packaging is sleek, sturdy and very chic looking; almost as nice as Bobbi Brown palettes. Colors are extremely flattering and wearable -- they create a perfect fresh, springtime, day-at-work face. All I add is a bit of black liner for defintion and black mascara and I'm good to go. I also purchased the Paris palette (haven't used it yet) and am contemplating Milan.

This is a great product. The pink blush is my favorite! I hope when I'm done with this blush I can still find a similar color!

Okay, bear with me because I'm not very good with descriptions. This is a nice palette. First off, the blush. The blush is the best thing about it. It's a light matte pink that when applied really does look like a natural flush. I just halfheartedly swiped the blush with my finger and then swiped my cheek, and I was amazed at how good it looked and how flattering the color was. The eyeshadows are a light gold and a light baby pink. Very pretty, but I love light colors. Both have light shimmer, but nothing over the top. They're nicely pigmented and go on smoothly.

On the other side is the lip colors. There are two with a lipstick-like consistency and two glosses. The one lipstick color is a flat -no shimmer- darker light (if that makes sense) pinky-plum. The other lipstick color is a pink-coral color with gold shimmer. The lipglosses I think have the same consistency as the Cargo pan glosses. One is a flat nude YLBB shade. The other is a shimmery watermelon pink shade. I find all four of these to be extremely wearable and would probably be flattering on almost everyone.

I think this palette would be great for anyone with light or medium skin who's looking for some light and pretty but neutral shades. Nothing too crazy here. IMO, I don't think the colors would show up too well on anyone with medium-dark or darker skin.

Okay, so after begging for someone (anyone!) to write reviews on this palette without success, I finally ordered it myself.

Packaging: very sturdy (surprise!) and very chic, the palette is about 3 inches square and holds a lot of product.

Eyeshadows: On the left is a pastel shimmery pink which is finely milled, nicely pigmented, and beautiful on the lid...capable of giving that illuminated glow to the eye area. I imagine this color may also work as a cheek highlighter in a pinch, although I haven't tried it yet. On the right is a pastel yellow gold with shimmer which is also wonderfully pigmented, finely milled, and beautiful. I wear the gold color from lashline to browbone with the pink from lashline to crease. This draws a very glowy light to my face and looks absolutely amazing.

Blush: This is probably the star of the entire palette. While it is a light matte pink, it manages to lend a beautiful just-got-in-from-outside glow to the cheeks. (This palette is really about lightening and brightening the complexion.) The blush is nicely pigmented so a minimal amount is needed.

Lip colors: On the top left is a shimmery pink with a hint of coral, very sheer and pretty and gives the lip a hint of tint. The top right color is a non-shimmer (but shiny) pinky mauve color which is also sheer and lends a milky pink to my lips.

Lip glosses: The bottom left color is a gloss, a nice basic neutral that would look great on anyone, I imagine. The bottom right shade is a pinky-watermelon shade with shimmer.

Overall: Go out and buy this palette. It is perfect for spring and really makes you look bright and lively without screaming "I'm wearing makeup!" Love it!
