I just threw it away because couldn't return it anymore. Used it 3-4 times and EVERY time made my hair break. It leaves a sticky film on my hair, something like sugar, makes my hair dull, sticky and untouchable no matter how little I use or if the hair is wet or dry.

I swapped for this because I wanted to try more Ojon products since I had bought the hydrating thickening spray, which is my HG.
I like this a lot. I know a lot of people don't like the smell, but it smells like honey and almond to me, so I enjoy it.
I have shoulder length, layered hair that is permed. On it's own, it is fine, oily and flat. For my hair, this is perfect because it pumps up the volume and adds texture.

Got this in a set. No matter how little the amount of product I used, it still seemed to leave a film on my hair that made it tangly and not easy to run the hands through.

I’m still a bit uncertain about this styling cream. It’s not that I don’t think it’s a good product, I just think I need to get the proper use and amount down for my hair. I have pretty short hair (close, but a little longer than a Beckham bob), and I’ve either used not enough (didn‘t do anything), or too much (weighed my hair down). It smells good (like coffee beans), just like the rest of the Ojon line, but this one didn’t offer immediate satisfaction like the other products. I’m not going to return, because I do think it’s a good product, I just need to work with it and experiment more than what I’ve had to with other products.

I first bought this styling cream when I had mid-length hair and didn't like it; it weighed my hair down and make it limp and sticky somehow so I just shelved it with my other rejects. Fast-forward a year, I now have a cute pixie cut and the Ojon Animated styling cream is the bomb!! I rub a dime-sized amount into damp hair to blow-dry, then take another small amount to piece out my bangs and the back. I love the way it makes my hair nice and healthy-shiny (most molding pastes have matte finishes, and pomades look greasy) and it's great for traveling since I only need to bring one product for styling instead of 2 (used to drag around spray gel for blow dry, and molding paste to piece out my do). The only thing I don't like about it is the scent - heavy and sweet, it competes with my perfume :(

TERRIBLE!! I tried this on my hair in the store and THANK GOODNESS I didn't buy it! The smell reminds me of vomit mixed with honey and it made my hair feel dry and nasty. It refused to wash off my hands so they smelled terribly until I left work and finally got in the shower. Did I mention how sticky it felt?

This product made my fine lightly layered hair look amazing. Sadly it brought me out in a rash along my jawline and chin so it just wasn't to be.

I bought the $10 CDN small tube and I'm glad I did. I was actually thinking about getting the larger sized tube to start with but I'm lucky Sephora ran out of it because I'm not too sure I even like this. Please note that if you check on the Sephora website, it is actually cheaper per weight to buy the smaller tube (usually it's cheaper per weight to buy the larger sized tube but this is not the case!).
Okay, so I bought this because I read the Kim Kardashian blog once in awhile and she recommended this product on her site.
I'm not crazy about the herbal smell of the product but it doesn't bother me much at all.
The product does give me a quite a bit of volume that I wouldn't be able to achieve unless I did a lot of back combing or blow dried my hair after using L'oreal's HOT volume Mousse. But back combing and blow drying are more damaging than putting in a styling cream. So I like the look of volume I can get by rubbing just a very very small sized amount into my roots. However, the volume lasts two hours max in my hair. I have very long (halfway down my back) hair that is very straight. I've tried to use a light hold hairspray after achieving the immediate volume in hopes that the volume would stay longer than half an hour to an hour but to no avail. The tube is small enough to stick in my purse so I could carry it around with me and touch up my hair if needed but I really can't be bothered because touching up my lipstick/gloss is all I do in a public washroom once I leave my house.

I got a small tube of this product and at first I wasn't sure what it was for. I think the mixed reviews are due to that fact. It is not something you work through your entire head. It is meant to be a finishing cream and to separate hair. A small tube has lasted me forever. I have fine hair and I put a bit on the tips of my fingers and pull it through the ends of my bangs and ends to define them. If I were to use more it would be too heavy for my hair.

I cannot get over the smell of this product, it is sooo overpowering that I won't ever use it again, it's practically a full bottle just sitting under my sink, the smell is so stong that it makes other stuff that it's stored with smell too. Aside from the smell, the results were something to be desired, it made my hair heavy and greasy..lets just say I am not impressed at all, especially since I love some of the other ojon products.

This styling cream is AMAZING!! The trick is to use as LITTLE as possible, so this $11CDN tube lasts for ages. If you use even a bit more than you need (half a pea size for shoulder-length hair), you're going to end up with absolutely awful results. Take the half-pea size, rub palms together to emulsify, flip hair over, and rub hands through hair roots, bangs, and then through the rest and ends. Flip over and ta-da! Amazing. Simply amazing. I have fine hair and no other product gives me the volumized and polished look that this styling cream does. You know the blasted overworked dried-out look flat-ironing gives? Apply this styling cream after flat-ironing and you'll get the polished look you want. The strong nutty smell takes some time to get used to but my boyfriend seems to love the exotic scent of it on me. [p.s.: Don't waste your money on the bigger tube. It's more than double the price of the smaller tube but it's NOT double the amount!! ...Also, cut open those finished tubes and use the little bits at the opening and at the corners because you only need a tiny bit everyday!]

I had a small size that came with my Fortify kit. I don't really use creams in my hair of any sort because my hair is fine, (but a lot of it) and pin straight. I thought this product was like other types of hair cremes and how wrong I was. This is a product that is very thick and best for creating piecey looks. Its more like a pomade-paste than anything like a creme. When I first used it, I had extensions in my hair and used it thinking it was like a glossing creme, which it definately is NOT. When I applied it to the extension hair it made it into a gooey tangly mess, which I was not pleased with since it was very expensive hair. I had just washed it and didn't want to wash it again so I had to take a spray bottle of water to it and add a crapola of silicone based serum just to get my fingers through it. I put it up in a bun and called it a day.
I normally don't blame skincare products for acne, but this stuff broke out my forehead BAD. I have some very tempermental cowlicks in my bands and I had had some success with this product in my bangs while blowdrying to get my stubborn bangs to lay nicely. I am very very very regimented with my skincare and have maintained a perfectly clear complexion for many years. One week after using this on my wet bangs while blow dry styling I started getting a really really deep painful cystic nodule in the center of my forehead that seemed to come out of nowhere. I have not had a cystic blemish on my forehead for almost 20 years since junior high school. Now a week later, after some TLC, its almost all dissolved but I do have a dime sized scab and red area that looks like someone took a cigarette to my forehead. I also started to get a smaller sized one start to come in along my hairline today, which I've started to treat with acne topicals.
'm keeping one lippie for it because it did do a decent job to give my testy bangs some heft to lay nicely. But I simply will not risk continuing to use it because of the zits I'm pretty sure it contributed to.
Update March 2009: I have decided to give this product a second chance since I know now the proper way to use it. I recently cut my mostly one length long hair to a very piecey rocker layered cut. Since my hair is so baby fine, I need to use something in the layers to give it some definition. This does do the job rather nicely and because of previous issues with using it in my bangs, I am keeping it out of hair that touches my face. I got a large sample of it this time to use and would probably buy the small travel one for as long as I keep my hair like this. I'm experimenting with Jonathan Silky Dirt to see what does a better job.

The first time I used the Animated Creme I did not like it. The second time I loved it. I have thick shoulder length hair that tends to be kind of "poofy" after I dry it, but this weighed it down just enough and also gave me a little more control when styling. I take about a dime size, rub it in my hands to wamr it up, then lightly take my hands through my hair. Like others, I also bought the small $10 size at Sephora and it is lasting a long time.

I've used this product nearly everyday for about 6 months, and I love it. I apply a tiny bit to my roots when my hair is damp, blow it dry, and wow...great volume, texture, and a nice, soft swingy bounce. It's probably the best volumizer I've ever used. A little goes a long way, so it was well worth the investment.
It doesn't work as well applied to dry hair.

I originally received a sample of Ojon regular Hydrating Shampoo with a Sephora order. It made my hair look full and soft. Since I have fine, thin hair, I ordered the Hydrating Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner and Animated Styling Cream. The cream made my hair sticky and look dull. I think I could have tolerated these conditions if the products had added volume, but they did not. Worst of all, I started getting almost quarter-sized amounts of hair on my comb every time I combed. I had been using Rogaine, with some measure of success, for my thinning hair. I believe these Ojon products worked against the Rogaine. After 3 uses of these products, I decided I had better discontinue use, before they caused more damage. I returned them to Sephora.

You have to know how to use this... very small amount, disperse among the fingers, and start either at the crown for volume, or ends for texture. It's a very stiff cream, not a lot os needed! I love the piecey look, and it stays for me all day.

I rarely post negative reviews, but in this case, I feel it is warranted.
I purchased and tried Animated Styling Cream today. I was so puzzled by its performance, that I immediately referred to MUA to see if I had somehow applied it incorrectly. Seems as if others have had similar problems. It was really difficult to disperse it through my hair with my hands. I tried a brush, but it was almost impossible to drag it through my hair. When I finished applying it, I noticed that my hair had a lot more body, too much body in fact. I looked like I had teased my hair and my attempts to tame it were futile. In addition, it smells like the back room of a 1970's health food store. I won't even attempt to use this again.

This product is good. My hair looks tamed and it styles nicely when I use this product. I bought the travel sized version for $10 at a Sephora, and this size will last a long time and therefore is relatively inexpensive this way. The only thing I do not like about this product is the h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e smell. The smelly smell does fade as the day wears on but I can still pick up on the horrible smell at nighttime. I won't buy this product again just for the smell factor.

I purchased one of the Ojon starter kits a long time ago and I loved most of the products in it. I actually LOVE the signature Ojon scent, which seems to be a deciding factor for some with this product. The restorative treatment is a staple in my hair-care line and will remain so forever (I have it in right now actually!). Wanted to try some of the other Ojon products and they had this in a small tube at Sephora for about $10 I think.
I've had enough time to try this several ways in my semi-thick highlighted hair that is a few inches past my shoulders. I use a dime-sized amount of product. The texture in and of itself is not waxy or sticky - more like a cream than anything else.
First off, this did not work on my hair wet. It made my already semi-thick hair SOOOO hard to brush - it gave my hair so much body that I literally couldn't do anything with it....maybe this would work for some of you fine-haired girls? Personally, I won't be doing that again.
Also used this the day after washing (hoping to create body and volume) by emulsifying in my hands and working in REALLY good at the roots. It gave my hair an edgy volumized look which was very rocker-chic IMO. Loved it for a few hours out at night, but totally didn't last all day. I think my hair might be too thick and/or long for this to work at volumizing it for a whole day.
When I cut my hair in a few weeks I will update my review to say if this works better/differently on short hair. Said I would re-purchase but I'm sure I won't have to for a LONG time - I have an arsenal of hair products to choose from and rarely reach the end of one before moving onto the next. Worth a try - get the smaller cheaper one if you aren't sure!!!
