I just used my tester for Flipside. What a wonderful colour! I used Naked UD as a base and the color showed up wonderfully! I am going to buy this shade, especially because i own a foulard just the same color (a good excuse to use it more often!)

I had just read a bad review and when i applied it with my UD brush, it's true the color was a bit poor. As i was trying for it to cover all my lid, i just used my finger to blend it in, and it's creamy texture allowed the color to just pop out!!

I recommend you to use a deep black and thick mascara with it, as green shadows might have a weird effect from a distance if the lashes arent well defined.

One of my favorite UD shadows along with Sin, Gunmetal and Smog.

Great shade. Applies wonderfully on the lid or the crease. It looks very teal in the case, but on my skin tone, it comes out a bit more green. It doesn't crease too easily and lasts longer than most eyeshadows I've had.

Another good duochrome color. It's pretty as a crease color with half-baked on the lid. Seems more teal in the pan but applies more blue on me.

I LOVE this shade. It makes my eyes look so blue and the color looks great with my hair. I often use it with nude shades and I always get compliments. I first got it with the "Get Baked" palette and have another little pot of it in the Sustainable palette. One of my favorites :D

Urban Decay eyeshadows are hit-or-miss for me, far more than eyeshadows made by other brands. I attribute this to all the glitter that can be found in certain shades. When Sephora sent me my little sample card for Flipside I was super excited -- it looked like a beautiful, slightly cool blue-y turquoise with shimmer and no glitter. Well, on one hand, it did contain no glitter, and the texture, like UD's best, is smooth and almost creamy. Sadly, on the other hand, there is very little pigment to this eyeshadow. I used up the entire sample card on both eyes, really packed it on, and still the color is just too sheer. Perhaps it is too light for my skintone? I give it three lippies on the chance that it's just too light for me and not really my color. This is an eyeshadow that I will not purchase.

This is one of the shades I don't have in singles, but in my Baked palette. (First UD item ever after UDPP..)

For the first while, I thought this was the useless shade of the quad.. Because it is SO sheer.

*Someone also said something about this running more green in single form? Not sure if this is true, never compared the two side by side*

This teal/blue shade is very sheer by itself..
But lately, I have been using my UD 24/7 liners as bases. Over any blue or green pencil, Flipside runs into a pigmented beautiful teal! It is so pretty over my "Covet" liner, and I now LOVEE this shade much more than painkiller, or those bright blues!

Definitely useable if you work around with different bases.

UD makes some of the best teals out there, before trying the Alice shade from the AIW BOS I wouldn't have bothered trying any of those sort of shades out. Flipside is a little more sheer than their usual shades but is buildable. It is a greenish teal with a bit of blue sheen to it- a duotone. I like to pair this with UD vert. A great mermaidy color with no glitter, just shimmer.

Bought this on a spur of the moment shopping spree at Sephora. $17 for an eyeshadow shade. Crazy much? However it is highly pigmented and stays on all day. Only used it 2-3 times. I prefer using it as eyeliner than eyeshadow. The color is more intense and not as "neon". I think the color is not suitable for my skin tone (NC30) though so I gave it to my friend.

I wish I could give this 3.5 lippies, because while I adore the mermaid-like teal, it's just not as pigmented as I'd expect from Urban Decay. I would repurchase even though I need to touch it up often, since the color is just to die for!

Why so many low reviews? I like this eyeshadow, its a true teal and it does have good pigment. For some reason this eyeshadow reminds me of Shimmermoss from MAC, I think it could totally be a dupe.

Flipside is a very bright, pigmented shadow. It's a bit soft, though, so if you overblend, you'll probably need to put a little more to fix it.

While it may not be the most pigmented of the Urban Decay shadows, it is still a gorgeous color. It is a true teal; the duotone is visible, but not obnoxious.
It is a little more shimmery than I'd like. I expected it to be packed with color like the other UD shadows I own, but it did apply slightly more sheer. I highly suggest using a sponge applicator to pack on color.
I think the price is okay. It could be better for $16-18. But the other Urban Decay shadows are well worth the price. I DID get this on sale, so it was a great deal for me.
My favorite way to use it? I love to wear it with the Flipside liner (the reason I bought this, besides the price) or with a little bit of black shadow to smoke it out!

I love this color... it's my favorite Urban Decay eyeshadow. It's a very pretty aqua/teal color, and one of my go-to colors for spring & summer. It makes my amber eyes really pop!

Anyone who isn't getting a good color payoff from an Urban Decay eyeshadow obviously isn't doing something right... because they're VERY pigmented! My only complaint would be about the fallout you sometimes get, even when wet. They have a tendency to be a little flaky.

Flipside is a bright teal w/ a light blue tint to it. It looked way to 80's on my light skintone.

This is a really fun shade to wear when I'm feeling like aqua-colored eyelids. It is very vibrant and long-wearing, especially over UDPP. I don't think I would buy this again, but that is just because there are SO MANY other cool eye shadows to buy and play with and this one is definitely not one of those every day colors.

While I really like this eyeshadow, since I have green eyes I find that it doesn't contrast with my eye color enough. I prefer colours such as purple that really make my eyes POP. would not buy again for this reason even though it would be gorgeous on somebody with brown eyes.

Flipside is a great "fun" color. It's unlike anything I had in my stash. Very pretty and shimmery, and UD got it right by putting it into the Get Baked palette because it does pair so wonderfully with bronzes and browns. It's not a HG because I don't wear teal eyeshadow too often, but I'm glad I have it in my stash because it's perfect for those times I *do* want teal eyeshadow.

I realize I am in the minority here, but I think Flipside is a terrible shadow. Like jojo4411, I found the color payoff pathetic. The first time I used it, I tried to apply it as a liner (wet) and it didn't show up at all, even though I applied it on top of UDPP. I wanted to give it a fair chance, so I tried it again this morning, this time on my lid. I packed it on with my 239 brush on top of UDPP and it showed up a little bit, but it was very sheer, just a translucent bluish shiny tint. For comparison, I applied MAC Talent Pool in the same manner on my other lid. Wow, what a difference! Now this is what the color is supposed to look like: an opaque, pearlized teal with slight golden sheen. I wiped that little bit of Flipside off of my one lid with a wet tissue and put Talent Pool on instead.

Usually I love the quality of UD shadows, but this one is a dud. I didn't try it on top of a paint pot, but hey -- for $16, I shouldn't have to work so hard to get the color to show up (especially since I already have another shadow that does the job better). Maybe I got a bad batch, maybe it's just not compatible with my eyelids... I don't know. But this one's going back to Urban Decay.
