I understand what other reviewers say about the thin layer of glitter overspray being a huge disappointment. However, I personally love powder that lies beneath! It is a fantastic muted matte peachy tone that has become my everyday staple blush. I also use it to tone down NARS orgasm, which I find can be far too shimmery. The Balloonacy imprint is beautiful and I have already re-purchased this at a CCO.
Give this product a go (if you can find it) if you have light to mid-toned skin and want a blush that is subtle and gives you a wonderful glow.

CCS discount impulse buy based on my friend saying it looked good. In reality it doesn't look like anything. Damn you, peer pressure! The surface of this is a satiny shimmery peach with the Balloonacy imprint, but it’s a sprayed-on coating – underneath it’s kind of a dusty baby-peach with a brownish cast. There’s certainly lots of it, but it’s not ghetto fabulous or anything. Too pale and dusty for my taste, a little drugstore-grade honestly. I need blush that makes me look less peaked – this is more like something you would give a child to play “dress up” and smear all over herself when you didn’t want her to look like she had makeup on.

i wish they still made this!! it would be better without the shimmer on top because whats the point if it just comes off first time you use it? I had to wait a couple of days before this shimmer came off before i could see the real color underneathand what a pretty apricot color! so smooth and light it just makes my skin so gleamy!! please bring this back mac!

MAC Hullaballoo High-Light Powder - LE, 2007 Balloonacy collection
I got this in a swap, and the original golden-coral shimmer overspray on the surface was mostly gone - just a tad left around the rim. The surface is embossed with round shapes to look like a cluster of balloons. The powder is an extremely sheer, matte peachy-toned beige-nude shade that does nothing for my AAB/NC25 coloring - it disappears on my skin and seems better suited as a pressed powder than a highlighter product for me. It's too bad that the gorgeous coral color and golden shimmer of the overspray was only on the surface and not throughout the entire product - I would have liked a product like that. The quality of the powder is very smooth and fine, and the packaging is like a MAC blush. Lovely product but the shade is not for me; YMMV.

GREAT PRODUCT FROM MAC!! Love it!!! The reason begin, it can wear it alone as blusher revealing a pretty coral pink. Or you can use the top layer as a highlighter. I try to use half a side as a highlighter and the other side as a blusher after the shimmer wear off. I would definitely recommend it esp for those with fair skin.

This is my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE of ALL my MAC beauty powders! Actually, I believe MAC calls this one a "High-light Powder" ... and I'm still trying to figure out the difference. ???
Funny thing about this, too. I admired Hullaballoo ever since I first spotted it. Hesitated purchasing it on the spot because of all the sparkles on the top of the powder, but later learned that they go away. (That's when the love affair began for me.) When I saw it on the MAC counter "de-sparkled," I knew it was coming home with me. (The funny part comes now.)
So, I ask the MAC mua for a Hullaballoo, and- unless she wanted to save them all for herself- she tried to talk me out of purchasing it! That was a first! She told me it was kind of useless, becuz you could only use it for the tops of the cheek bones. She told me to buy the Barbie beauty powder, instead (which I stupidly did).
Then I thought about it... and dang, I STILL wanted that Hullaballoo! So... I ordered it from maccosmetics.com, and I have been using it almost everyday since it was delivered to me. I love it, I don't know what that crazy MAC girl was talking about! I get alot of use out of Hullaballoo! It looks EXCELLENT under blush and over blush-- any color that I use! It is so pretty, and it makes my blush look 10X better than when I don't use Hullaballoo, for whatever reason! Don't know why, but I find this to be one great Highlighting powder! It is not overly shimmery or glittery like some MSFs and other MAC beauty powders, so it doesn't accentuate my pores. If anything, I feel that Hullaballoo matts them out a bit. (JMHO)
Like I said in the beginning, I love this powder and it is my current fave. Wish MAC would keep it around (it's unfortunately LE) becuz I would definitely repurchase!

This is the lighter of the two highlighter powders from MAC. They are limited edition releases with the Balloonacy collection sold in March 2006 and retailed for $22. I have almost all the Beauty Powders, they are usually soft powders with little to no shimmer to be used all over or as a blush depending on the pigment. Hullaballoo has this crazy shimmer spray over the top, its a metallic coral shade. Once you get rid of that layer, you get a pretty soft browned soft rose color with a hint of peach. Very natural looking. Can be worn all over or layered as a blush. I think its pretty and I am glad i got this. Looks nice with my NC30 light olive complexion. Comes in the standard black flip top pot with clear lid.

The surface sparkles don't appear on my skin anyway, so I don't mind that it's not through out the entire product. That being said, this is a very nice peach beauty powder with no orange tones at all. I tried it on at the store and didn't purchase it at first, then while shopping with my boyfriend afterwards he told me he thought my skin looked extremely pretty that day. I didn't change anything from my regular routine except trying on this powder. That was enough justification to me to go back and spend the money (despite all the products I have already) :) It gives a nice, natural tone tone to my skin, one of the nicer powders I've used.

One of the worse cosmetic products ever. Color appeared beautiful--shimmery, bronzey, coral. But it's just an overspray that disappears after one use. What you have left is just a regular face powder on my C3 skintone. There's absolutely no highlighting properties. I've heard of some beauty powders being bad in pigment, but for an overpriced highlighter, I expected more than just a face powder. If the shimmer had actually remained in the product, it would have been beautiful.

What a pretty color! The color looks amazing on my NC40 skin (which is getting tanner by the day) and I'm sure it would look amazing all through out the year. Price was a little steep but what the heck, I had to have this. only gave 4 lippies because it seems like when you use it, you're taking all of the shimmer off of the top. I hope it continues to go through out the product. The design etched into the powder is cute too! It makes me not want to use the damn thing. I would buy it again if it weren't LE.
