I just tried this shampoo last night & I love it! This shampoo smells amazing, it smells kind of like coconuts mixed with vanilla. This left my hair soft, smooth, shiny, silky, frizz free. That's really all I ask for in a shampoo/conditioner. It also really detangled my hair, my comb glided right through my wet hair. I highly reccommend this shampoo, especially if you straighten your hair. I also felt that this shampoo gave me a good clean, & it was gentle. There are a few things that bother me about this product. First is the price & amount of product you get. This is pretty expensive for a drugstore shampoo/conditioner. The bottles this comes in aren't very big for what this costs. Not only that, but the bottle is made of hard plastic, so it's difficult to get the shampoo out. I didn't want to take off any points because this product did do a great job at everything it claims to do. So overall, I was pretty happy:) I would definitely repurchase.

Normally after I buy a shampoo I'll stick with it until it's gone, but this one was just horrible! Left my hair tangled and my hair started falling out and found it to be the cause, didn't think twice about just throwing the half full bottle away.

This is probably the best shampoo I've used on my wavy, somewhat frizzy hair. The only reason I don't like it is because of the scent. Even though on initial sniff, the coconut smell doesn't seem incredibly strong, after using it consistently, it seems like that is all I can smell, and I HATE coconut scented beauty products. But thats my personal problem. As for a shampoo, it lathers and cleans really well. And its the only shampoo I've used and had a noticeable new shine to my hair. The shampoo alone is quite moisturizing - I often don't use a conditioner with it. I tend to require clarifying about once a week so my roots don't feel too yucky. It still doesn't completely eliminate waves or frizz (I guess no shampoo alone will), but it does make a noticeable difference. Like I said, I'd buy again if I liked the scent. If you like coconut scent, you should love all of Nexxus' stuff.

I hate this shampoo. It tangles, does not lather well, and my hair fell out. I'm normally a huge fan of Nexxus products (Heat Protexx and Smoothening Spray are my HG) but this product did not deliver. Not to mention its $18 CAD, my $5 L'oeal Vive Pro does better!
Age: 30-35 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Brunette Eyes: Green
This is the best shampoo for frizz I've tried! I've used many of the other Nexxus products without any luck. Wrong formula for my hair, I guess. This, along with the conditioner, keep my hair soft, smooth and frizz-free all day. Like another reviewer said the bottle makes it tough to get all the product out. It has a nice scent--not too strong. I don't like the smell of my hair to over power my perfume. I have thick hair with a little bit of natural wave and I blow dry and straighten it about every other day so my ends get pretty dry. This makes my hair behave like I want it to!

Hate this stuff. Dried my hair out, made it really frizzy and the bottle design makes it really difficult to get product out. Awful.

I used the shampoo & conditioner in this line. They made my hair sooooo greasy! I can usually go at least 3 days between washings, after the first use of these I had to wash the very next day; I even pulled my hair back mid day because it was so flat & oily.
I returned both and am still searching for something to smooth my hair without without weighing it down.

ok.......did ANYONE find that this shampoo makes u shed after like the second day of washing it......cuz it really did make my hair fall out O_o
but otherwise, i REALLY liked the results of this shampoo, clean but moisturized at the same time.. but due to the shedding i put the shampoo away for now....

I loooooooooooooooooooooove this shamppo. It was 3 bucks at target so I said "Why not?". The reviews here were deceiving...I used Therappee and loved it...I loved this one as well...My hair felt so smooth, sleek, soft, as if I had used a conditionner. No dryness...I love love love it! It looks like a thick gel but it is really a moisturizing shampoo!

I just started using this shampoo so my review is limited at this point (I'll update later if it changes). Right off the bat I like this quite a bit. It lathers massively! smells pleasant, rinses out well, does not "grease up" my hair. I prefer a see-through container but can deal with it... The price is a lot less than I've paid for many more shampoos -- which by the way didn't work half as well as this one. I will purchase this again.
(hair type: long, fine hair, lots of it, color-treated)
LATER: TOO DRYING, WAY TOO MUCH TANGLING

Okay, I'm going to explain why I rated like I did for something I really love:
I gave it FOUR lippies because I don't really like the packaging.
It's not too expensive but it's not really cheap. The size lasts a long time.
The packaging isn't that great. It's plain, it doesn't offer any information about the product. It's too plain; I expect my products to be exciting, because that's what I'm paying for....
The only reason I wouldn't buy it again, is because once I'm out of it (which won't be for another year) I want to try something else.

This product was just okay for me. I bought because it was on sale and after recently purchasing their sublime volume conditioner (and loving it!!!) I thought I'd give Sleektress a try. It's not a bad shampoo, although I'm not crazy about the texture of it (it seems really thick and almost like a hair gel). This makes it harder to actually wash all the shampoo out after you lather, which is annoying, but my hair does look nice and shiny after I shampoo and blow dry, buuuut, I'm not in love, and if I had paid more then $6 for this I would probably be annoyed. I doubt I'll buy this again, as the results were pretty comparable to a cheaper shampoo like Pantene!

This works very well and isn't stripping like many shampoos that contain SLES. It lathers well (though not abundantly) and cleans my hair without making it rough. However, I can't use it daily or my hair starts feeling a little funny. Works much better than Therappe for me because it doesn't have the high protein content. Won't repurchase, I still am looking for something better.

my hair: thick, wavy, a tad course, color treated and long. this is a very odd shampoo. i got this b/c i was running out of my beloved phytojoba and saw this on the shelf at walmart and thought, well i don't love nexxus, but maybe i'll try it since it has avocado oil in it, it may help tame my hair. well the smell was definately there, but not horrible. the texture was thick and substantial...it lathered well, but when i rinsed my hair felt a bit coated. now since my hair is thick and wavy, it can get crazy and i actually like products to weigh it down to control it. this did not do anything i wanted. my hair looked drab and gross. it actually felt gross. what a shock. should have trusted my instincts and passed on it. oh well.

Edit: After several months I decided to try this again (bought a new bottle), and it is working completely differently. It is great! Cleans a lot better. Plus the smell is, as it always was, irresistible.

This is a very good shampoo. While I don't like it as much as my beloved Nexxus Therappe because it's not as moisturizing, I do like it.
It leaves my hair soft, smooth and easy to comb. There's nothing in it to weigh my hair down or coat it. It's got a light, almost sweet scent that's pleasant and doesn't linger.
My hair is 1c-2a/f/ii - 35" long, fine, thin, color-treated, dry at the ends.

i really like this shampoo. i have wavy/slightly curly hair, and my hair is totally manageable with this shampoo. it smells great too =) but it tends to run out very quickly, and its not very cheap either. well, i guess thats what you get for great quality...
Age: 44-55 Skin: Oily Hair: Red Eyes: Blue
wow! i am hard to please when it comes to shampoos but this is really a great product! it lathers great, smells fantastic and my hair looks picture-perfect. nexxus has hit a homerun with this. i found it at target for under 6 bucks with bonus conditioner - not a bad deal! enjoy!!!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Dry, Fair-Medium Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
This is my FAVORITE shampoo ever! I love it coupled with the conditioner because it makes my straight hair really smooth and silky, and I rarely have flyaways when I use it. It also smells really great and doesn't make my scalp itch (some shampoos have done that to me, which I find incredibly annoying and the mark of a definitely BAD shampoo). I just wish it were about $10 cheaper and with more in the bottle, but I'd say overall it's definitely worth it.

My favorite shampoo. Cleans nicely without stripping. Smells sort of like candy, but I like it.
