I don't understand all the poor ratings. I decided to replace the L'oreal I'd been using because they are NOT cruelty-free. I did take off one lippie because this is supposed to be a super-volumizing formula and it just isn't. However, it applied well in one coat without using an eyelash curler and doesn't feel "crunchy". If anything, my lashes feel soft. No flaking either. I have sensitive eyes and I'm not noticing any irritation. Basically it gives my lashes a nice, natural look. I will be looking for something else for my dramatic eye looks, but this is a keeper for a natural eye.

This product has a lot of negative reviews, but I had such a good experience that I wonder if it's a quality control issue.
I usually buy Cover Girl mascara, but was away from home without it. I didn't want to spend the $9 or so for CG, so I got this one. It's great, actually. It lengthens, thickens, and colors my lashes really dark black. I don't think it stays on as well as CG (i.e., forever), which is why I'm not switching permanently. But it's pretty good! Especially for the price.
I would definitely purchase again because I believe in switching out mascara tubes frequently for sanitary purposes.

Quite possibly the worst mascara I have ever used. I understood when I bought it not to expect to much, but I did expect something. There is nothing Mega or Plump about this product. Little girl toy makeup kits probably have better mascara. I could have done better with a Sharpie marker !

O.K., my H.G. Mascara is Lancome Definicils Waterproof but it WAS Cover Girl Marathon Mascara (waterproof) before they quit making it so I'm not giving Wet 'n Wild Mega Plump Mascara a negative review because I'm a Mascara snob, I'm giving it a negative review because this is possibley the WORST performing mascara that I have EVER tried!
I like a truly bulletproof waterproof mascara and loved Marathon Mascara by Cover Girl (in the same price range) until it was discontinued. I LOVE Wet 'n Wild nail polishes, they ARE utterly bulletproof. So, when I saw Mega Plump Waterproof Mascara on sale (BOGO, no less), I grabbed up two tubes of this with no reservations. I mean, at 2 for $5.99, I didn't have much to lose.
Well, I lost $5.99, plus tax. because, I could NOT get this mascara to go ON my eyelashes. I tried application after application and it does practically NOTHING. It doesn't seem to flake off, it just never goes ON! I tried working on application for a good 15 minutes (because I am determined) and nothing happened. My eyelashes got a LITTLE darker (ON VERY BLACK, no less) and looked a little spidery. Not at ALL plump.
I checked the tube and wand. The product was not dry. It just did nothing.
So I grabbed my Lancome Hypnose waterproof in brown out of my cabinet, applied about two coats and had instant thick long visible lashes....opened Wet 'n Wild tube to trash, unopened one I'll put up for swap. If this works for someone, great...you can have it.
Oh, a post script, I really did NOT just try this once. I don't give up that easily. I tried three or four times before actually just plain giving up and throwing it away.

Yikes! Those Spikes! No plumping at all. Zero volume. Tossed this immediately.

Worst mascara ever. It didn't even stay on my eyelashes, it flaked off, and just was a waste of time and money. It clumped, flaked and didn't even lengthen or 'plump' my eyelashes. Hell, it barely even turned them black (I bought the 'blackest black' color). And the price, $9! I wouldn't even pay 1 penny for that terrible mascara. Defenatly not recommended.

I don't understand all of the negative reviews for this mascara. I have tried tons of mascaras- Lancome Hypnose Drama, Benefit They're Real, Bobbi Brown Extreme, Clinique, Jordana, L'oreal, most all Covergirl and maybelline, etc.... and this works best for me!
It lengthens my lashes quick. I don't have time to curl my lashes or put on a lot of coats, and this lengthens fast- in one or two coats. It doesn't clump and stays on all day! Hands down my favorite mascara!

The first few times I used this I wasn't sure about it... it seemed to be somewhat volumizing and lengthening but it was very spidery and not natural looking at all. In fact, the spider lashes looked like they had ants on the end of them. I've been trying to use it for a few weeks now and OMG... it flakes all over my cheeks during the day... comes off it bits. But just try washing it off (waterproof formula)... raccoon eye city. Difficult to remove entirely, but super flaky! If you want to look like Tammy Faye Bakker... use this! If not, AVOID!

Second angry wet n wild review...herre we go
So after my encounter with megalength, I moved on to megaplump. The packaging is cute, and again I love the wand! After one coat..there was honestly nothing o my lashes. It was like Josie maran GOgo mascara but cheaper:just tinted darker my lashes. When I layered it, it looked like little ants were climbing up my lashes; black lumps just sticking to my lashes, gave this plastic feel. Again, I braved the outdoors and saw it did last all day with no flaking/smudging. Why is it all the wet n wild mascaras I try have such horrible performance but amazing staying power? Nevertheless this is joining it's cousin megalength in the garbage

This is a great mascara, just not for plumping as it's marketed. It did nothing much to plump my lashes, it actually lengthend them quite well though. I added lots of coats and there was no clumping. A solid everyday mascara that adds length

I don't understand why this product got so many bad reviews. I've found it does volumize my lashes, and without clumping, flaking, or smearing. You have to build up the volume though - I do it by moving the brush in a zig zag pattern over my lashes.

I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. It does a great job of making my lashes stand out. They appear thicker and it does a little for the length as well. It hold s up well throughout the day for me and my lashes don't droop.
I have been using this for a few weeks now and have not had issues with it clumping or flaking. The only problem that I have had is that, a lot of product remains on the end of the wand when you take it out of the tube. I make sure dab the end a little bit before applying.

This was my favorite mascara until I got L'oreal volumionous. But this is a close second and I switch between the two throughout the week. One time I saw a picture of myself from the side and it looked like I had fake lashes on-I was wearing this!!!!!Another thing i like is it never seems to have a lot of excess product on the wond so I don't get clumpy lashes!!!Just a very good mascara for me:)

I found this mascara to be really thick and clumpy, and very difficult to work with. Once I got my lashes all combed out they were very thick, but it was difficult to get them to that point as the formula was clumpy and flaky. I've discovered (thanks to Laura Mercier Full Blown) that thickening mascara gives me great results so I thought I'd give this a try. I had used WnW Mega Length mascara (2 tubes of it) which is much better compared to this. This one really doesn't work.

This is terrible. It flakes, barely coats lashes and certainly does nothing close to "mega plump". The last WnW mascara I had was decent but this is a disaster. For the price point, WnW itself makes better mascaras (like Mega Wink)...trust me, skip this at all costs. You're better off wearing no mascara than having this mess flake all over your face. Total mascara failure. I threw this away after a week and a half.

it was better than i expected it to be considering it's from a drugstore. it doesn't really volumize but it did add length and definition i didn't have before. considering the price it worked well and is good for a regular everyday look

I don't really see why this product has so many bad reviews.
This *is* a drugstore product and you have to account for that. I had no problems. It went on well, it stayed on for twelve hours + without any flaking or anything!
It definitely wasn't 'super volumizing' or 'mega plumping' as it was advertised, but I got some curl and definition out of it. Definitely more than my natural lashes, so I was happy.
It's cheap, it works, it doesn't flake. Not the best WnW product out there, but not a complete miss.
Just don't buy it for the volumizing effect. It won't work.

I bought the waterproof version of this product to wear while I was out in this summer in the deliriously hot weather. I've never worn waterproof before b/c I'm too lazy to want to have to do an extra step to remove my mascara. This mascara worked wonderfully and never strayed, even while I was sweating so much it looked like I was in the shower. I bought the product for its cheapness, don't really need any help w/my lashes since I use Latisse - just wanted them darkened & defined. Only problem is I might be allergic to it. I'm not sure if I'm allergic to the mascara or the baby oil I was using to remove it. I would buy again if I discover I'm not allergic to it. Oh, it also helped keep my lashes curled longer - the curl didn't droop like it usually does.

This mascara is really bad.. It's awful to apply. It's like the brush won't "catch" my lashes, if you understand what I mean.. With other words; the brush is really bad. It's also very clumpy and it doesn't give any volume at all. It sucks.. I'm glad that I didn't pay so much for this one, because it's not worth anything..

I never thought there was actually a mascara worse than the Cover Girl Lash Blast fusion. And its this one. This product is cheap, but its basically a 'you paid what you got for' thing. Its a TERRIBLE mascara, I don't even know where to begin. First, it smells TERRIBLE! I think it smells like....almost like the clorox wipes, I'm not even kidding. Second, it CLUMPS worst than the Lash Blast fusion. Third, it does nothing to your lashes. At least the Lash Blast fusion adds a little volume to my lashes when I first used it. This doesn't look like I have anything on my lashes. I might as well not wear any mascara at all with this product. What a waste of money!
