Felt sting after feeling the cooling effect for 3 seconds. Is it hurting the skin or shrinking the puffiness? I don't know and the salespersons probably don't know either... should I buy a whole bottle (only got a 2 times usage of a <1ml sample) by believing it can erase my dark circle eventually?? probably yes.. will update soon!!

I am surprised this did not get many high ratings. I am not crazy about La Prairie (cause their caviar products are not compatible with my skin type), and with this particular eye gel I would not have known what to say about it until enough time had passed and I saw the results.

This is an expensive eye gel but it works very well for puffiness. I leave mine in the fridge and use it in the morning. It stings a little bit when applied (and I'm not entirely sure why) but ever since I started using it over 2 months ago I really don't wake up with puffy eyes anymore. My under-eye area is also much lighter. The thing is, I started this along with YSL Temps Majeur Eyes at the same time, using the YSL at night (love that stuff too). I'm sure each one is wonderful used alone, but together or apart - I never get puffy eyes anymore. Even when I don't get enough sleep. And I'm someone who can wake up with VERY puffy eyes. So I definitely recommend this to people who are looking for something to reduce/eliminate morning puffiness and don't mind paying the high price. (I was totally splurging when I decided to buy both of these at the same time).

It's not all that moisturizing though, which is fine for me during the day cause I don't want oil slicks under my eyes. It's moisturizing enough. And firming too. I don't use it over a serum either, and I can apply my makeup right on top of it with no problems. I suppose it can be used underneath another moisturizer or over a serum too with great results.

P.S. I bought mine for 105 USD on the airplane duty-free. That's $50 less than retail.

P.P.S. I've used mine once each morning for 2 months and it's not even near half-way finished.

I generally love LP products but this was a disappointment.
I got this for my puffiness and circles and saw no improvement.
It is mildly moisturizing and my concealer was able to go on smoothly (why I give it 2 lippies)
Given the price tag and that it doesn't help with my puffiness (what it's supposed to do), I won't buy this again.
(My husband tried this and noted that it burned his eyes.)

This product did not do anything for me. My sister recommended it after using a sample. I ordered the whole thing and had to send it back. I made my eyes even more puffy and my lines more visible. Waste of money. I wish it would have worked so now I have to keep surging.

Heard so much about La Prairie and thought I should try one of their products. And being a Swiss brand, I had almost full confidence in the reliability of their products.
The price is pretty shocking and I think this is already one of the cheapest eye treatment they have. Result: Nothing much really. My panda eyes are still there - it didn't get dark but not lighter either and the area around my eyes don't seem more moisturized.
Nope, I won't be getting another one...

i honestly hate this product...I went to buy another LP eye cream and the BA convinced me to get this gel as well. It did nothing for me at all, what's worse, it hurts my skin like burning sometimes. The package looks pretty but somehow the screw cap of the bottle i bought went weridly apart therefore i can never screw the bottle tight. The letters they printed on the bottled "fell off" and stick on my hands for many times. I dont think iv got a fake LP cream since i bought it from holt renfrew. i kept using it since its almost 200 bucks. I almost used it up now after half a year, and this is like the worst LP eye product iv ever used.

This did nothing for me...I would put it on under my makeup in the morning but never felt like it truly absorbed, although it didnt cause my concealer to cake or disappear. I mainly bought it to reduce the dark circles but it didnt do that at all!! Not moisturizing at all, nothing really fantastic about this, save your money!

Nice gel consistency which absorbs quite fast into the skin. It stings a little bit on application which feels relaxing at first. But it doesn't help with my dark circles (which are not even that much in the first place) or puffiness. It's also not moisturizing like other reviewers also mentioned. I have to put another moisturizing cream on top of it for sure. It's definitely not worth $$$. I wouldn't repurchase.

i got a few samples of this a month ago, and have been using it underneath my regular eye cream because it's not enough moisturizing when used alone. Well, i do find it somehow tights up the undereye a little , just a little. To me it's very overpriced, won't purchase.

I give this product an average 3 lippies because it gives you EXACTLY what La Prairie claims it will do for you (ie reduce puffiness and dark circles) but I have some other personal preferences that go against this gel.

Pros:
-EXCELLENT product performance! As said before, if you want to reduce/prevent puffiness and dark circles, this eye gel is exactly what you will need! I saw my puffy circles dramatically decrease in only 4 APPLICATIONS!!! Miracle I must say! La Prairie never fails its claims!
-Beautiful packaging! The jar contains 15mL of product and is in etched glass with La Prairie engraved in silver on it. The lid is the typical silver lid. The gel itself is a gorgeous sea-blue colour! Love the packaging! You also get a small plastic applicator (which I don't use) as with many La Prairie skincare face products and is nicely contained in a silver box.
-Texture (also see cons): I was surprised that this gel wasn't runny like many others I've tried. It's actually got quite a nice thick gel consistency but the application remains very light and has great 'spreadibility' so that you won't be tugging on your lids. You will also feel a slight cooling and tingling sensation, great for the summer time!

Cons:
-Texture: As much as I like the initial feeling, after 5 mins my lids start to feel dry. I have a feeling that this is also how the product helps to reduce puffiness by soaking and draining all the excess fluid under our puffy eyes, but it's very intense, and makes my lids feel unnaturally TAUT! I really hope that La Prairie would be able to improve this product in the future by adding in some moisturizing ingredients too because I NEED to apply another simple eye moisturizer on top to prevent the tight feeling. I was thinking of maybe buying another La Prairie eyecream (Cellular Contour) to apply on top of this one, but then it's like, I'd be spending 400$ CAD total! I might as well buy La Prairie's Radiance or Skin Caviar Luxe Eye creams! Anyhow, I would recommend people to use this 1-2 times a week as an eye-mask, definitely too drying to be used everyday and especially not for us Canadians during the deathly winter.
-Price: 15mL for 175$CAD+tax at HR. Not really a con for me because as long as a product WORKS (and this gel does indeed work to what it claims, it doesn't state hydration fyi), I think it's worth it no matter what the cost. However I'm just putting price up as a con cuz I know others may care about it...

I will not repurchase unless La Prairie comes out with a similar product containing hydrating ingredients. I also wish that they could offer some of the other eye creams withOUT SPF cuz next up from Cellular Contour (140$) are the Radiance and Skin Caviar eye creams which jump a lot to 350$.

This was ok, just ok. It stings sometimes when I put a little too much. I could not use this in winter because it just didn't provide enough moisture. I could not find any noticeable difference in my eye area.

I was given a few packets of this eye gel recently as I am looking for a product to reduce puffiness in my eye area as well as Chanel's now discontinued Age Delay Eye. I had used La Prairie's Cellular Lipo-Sculpting Eye Gel years ago and found it quite good. It worked rapidly and left my eyes moist all day. I was told at the La Prairie counter that this new eye gel is even better. Well, not for me. It left my eye area looking dry and my fine lines were VERY visible. I then tried to layer a bit of eye cream on top but to no avail. Besides the drying factor, it didn't reduce my puffiness at all! I don't know why companies must tinker with things that already work well? I will now continue my search.

Hmmm Not a very bad eye treatment but not a very good one either.
It's lightweight which I like but it doesn't have the instant tightening brightening effect other LP eyecreams have.
I much rather the Liposcalpting gel!
I wish I tried a sample before buying!

I found this to be most effective in combination with LP's Essence of Caviar treatment; however, this is also excellent when used on its own.
I use this at night three nights a week, with more moisturizing eye treatments on other nights. When I wake up in the morning, my eye area looks, for lack of a better word, completely revitalized - fresh and soft. Amazing product.

I am not an expert for eye gels, because I've been using only eye creams for a long time (I think that creams are better for mature skin, and on the other hand I've never had problems with puffy eyes or dark circles, so I haven't a real need to use gels). Anyway, I got some samples of that gel and La Prairie SA told me that it can be used UNDER the eye cream, too, to improve hydration. So, I have tried it that way: it tingles a bit uppon application - I guess it means that it works "something" with circulation or something like that...makes the skin more toned and fresh. It is pleasant on the skin...seems really good. Maybe I will purchase and use sometimes under the cream when I have tired eyes... I also think it is a good idea to keep it in refrigerator and even use it as an eye-mask from time to time.

I like it a lot. I have visible lines and crow feets this gel cream really revitalise all of them. It does brighten out and smooth the whole eye area also the most important thing for me the deeper lines and nasty milia are less noticable I think that it will really get rid them . I am very happy whit this new gel cream.
