i bought this based on the other good reviews and thought id give it a go.Why? the can is so big its a nightmare to do with your other hand.Im ok spraying it with my right hand but just so akward with the left. Also it came out patchy, colour ok not the worst but then not the best.I am sticking to mouse ones from now on, these ones in a can don't apply evenly and unless you do it outside in your garden unless you want to be spending the next half an hour cleaning your bathroom i would not purchase this or any other brand in spray can form.

This is the BEST self tanner I have ever used. It gave me the deepest brown tan! It is extremely messy to apply...so use it in the shower to keep your bathroom clean. Totall worth the mess though. No other self tanners can match the color from this product. Love it!

I have used Model Co airbrush tan in a can on and off for about 8 years. I really think this is one of the best tan in a cans out there although there are afew things to bear in mind. First make sure you cover your floors with a dark sheet. It covers everything. Make sure you rub moisturiser into your hands and feet before you use it cause all the fall out goes straight to the feet and if you don't add some moisture beforehand your feet will go black! I find the tan with instant bronzer in it is a better guide when doing it yourself. I now just keep it in the cupboard to touch up my professional spray tans.... want to save my carpet!

I'm not really into tanning, but I decided to give it a shot on my pale legs. Bad idea, I was really disappointed. It sprayed really unevenly and I had spots everywhere. I have a tremor in my hands and found it impossible to spray evenly. Secondly the smell is so gross, I used it in my room and later my family members started to ask about the smell. I was really embarrassed, I'll use the towelette next time.

I am one of the lucky ones who bought this at Marshalls (i LOVE that place)! I think some people are using waaaaay too much of this (hence the empty bottle after one use). The spray is not that even... its tough to get an even light mist. HOWEVER it doesn't streak even if you have to rub it in with your hands. If you just give yourself a light spray after a shower at night, rub a little to blend, and then go to sleep, you will wake up with a nice brown tan... not orange at all! I think this is where people are making mistakes too... it totally looks green when you put it on. So dont plan on doing anything but sleeping! BUT I think the green is the reason why such a believable tan develops. Never orange, never streaky! I save this for before special occasions, and do it 2-3 times in the week before. People always think I paid $$$ for a spray tan... this is my little secret!

I've tried the ModelCo Tan Moose and LOVED it. I thought I should try all ModelCo's products. BAD IDEA. The spray needs to be held far away. You need someone else to do the spraying unless you want to be like me who ended up spraying then rubbing. The spray emited through the air and left my bathroom legit dark brown green. I was very careful to not get it on anything too. That means that the bottom of my feet look like muds on them now, PLUS I have to wash my bathroom. The worst part of ALL: The can is now empty after one use! $17... not worth it. The tan looks good on me, but the trouble I went through to only get one tan out of it is not. Don't recommend EVER. Try the tan moose, it rocks.

The colour guide on this was very dark. I went from being wintry pale to a golden dark bronze and it was so extreme that it left me a bit embarrassed. But I could've put up with this if the colour was right. Once I washed this off, however, the dark bronze mostly washed away and I was left with a far paler, orangey bronze. The application was a bit fussy as it didn't spray evenly, but on the plus side, any splotches were roughly rubbed in without it affecting the eveness of the colour.

I picked this up at Marshall's on clearance for only $7. I decided to go out in the backyard to spray this and I am so happy I did!! This stuff goes everywhere (not to be gross, but it even got into my nose!!)...anyway, on to my experience. I sprayed my feet and couldn't believe how DARK this spray was! (I did shake the can per the instructions) I actually didn't know it contained bronzer (the Marshalls label covered that part on the can..lol)...I don't know, I am pretty pale, but the color shocked me. I then proceeded to spray my entire leg...I tried to spray evenly, but no matter what I did, it was just a streaky mess. The scent is okay but after a while it got into my nose and I smelled it the rest of the night. I started to freak out, so then I rubbed this stuff into my skin hoping to even everything out. BUT it dried quickly so I just sprayed a small area, worked it in, and repeated it for my legs. TBH I would NEVER go out with the color my legs were...they became a dark, greenish brown color. I did this at around 5pm when I wasn'g going out so it was ok. This stuff transferred on everything so be careful!!Anyway, after my shower the next morning I have to say that the color that was left on my legs was a very pretty bronzy tan (except for my feet that got too much and was still very dark). Overall, I would repurchase this, work in small areas and def work it in, and most importantly do it outside!! HTHs!

Ladies! I have tried EVERYTHING! Everything! This is the lightest, most natural color, easiest to apply! I use it mostly on my face and neck region and I do it at night, and sleep on it. It is AMAZING! The smell is like cotton candy, not like the tanner smell, and it doesnt' really rub off on anything, such as pillow's, etc. At least not as bad as others! This is always going to be my go-to! Only sad thing is it can't really travel b/c it's an aerosol. This is hard to find, sold at Bendel's and online, and that's it. GET IT NOW!

I found this at my local TJMAXX and decided to give it a try. It does get messy so I make sure I cover the area with a beach towel. It gives me immediate medium to dark tan but washes off easily so I don't think it's waterproof. It does get blotchy so I make sure to exfoliate well before application. And it has transferred to my clothes. But if I want quick and easy results, this is my goto for now. I did purchase Hawaiian Tropic Island Radiance from Ula but haven't got a chance to try it out yet...

Ive just bought this product last night but before using it, I looked up the ingrediants, and i dont no why no one has mentioned it yet. But this product does contain sodium benzoate. Which is a very harmful chemical and apparently causes skin cancer?. Im sooooooooo dissapointed because i also looked up st tropez ingrediants because I was deciding between the 2 but its full of parabens.
ill be returning this product, but i dont no what to go to now :( :(
maybe i should just use this for special occasions
does anyone no whats worst? parabens or sodium benzoate?

xx

I finally have found a self tanner that works on my pale skin. I love the results from the bronzer in the product as well. I have my husband spray it on my as it can be hard to get on evenly by yourself. My only complaint is that it does get every where but I make sure I put towels down and that seems to help.

This is a great new find for me.
I saw it at ross for about $7 a can, and I bought all the ones that they had there lol.
I love to use this on top of my HG self tanner only in places where the sun hits, like tops of arms, chest and shoulders (and sometimes legs).
It is nice and brown, not orange or fake looking. I love the colorguide on the immediate application.
I am not too fond of the piercing sweet candy smell, but once its on my skin it softens and doenst linger for too long (at least not long enough to nauseate me or ppl around me.)
Ive used it on my face too as it has no oil or any comedogenic ingredients but the color guide makes it impossible to wear on its own or throughout the day. It turns very red on my face... but after the tan develops i wash it off my tan looks natural of course.
Another thing i dont like is the spray nozzle. Its great that its 360 but at first my fingers get very tired because of pressing down on the spray top. After a few uses it gets kind of "broken in". The strangest thing ever, but w/e.
Good stuff. Very expensive at the retail price but If i see it for a deal like this again when i run out of my stock (lol) Ill most likely get some more.

I love the colour this produces and the fact it has a bronzer so you know where you have sprayed! I get my partner to spray me in the garage as it tends to go everywhere in the bathroom. He is quite the tanner now! Long lasting and goes on evenly. I have been using this product for a few years now and not much else out there comes close.

Ever since all of the hype about skin cancer I've been weary about going to the tanning beds. This "tan in a can" is so much easier, healthier, and even cheaper in the long run! It has saved me! Now I have a healthy glowing tan whenever I want for a minimal cost and guess what... no streaks!!!

I've tried them all and I am quite impressed with this product. For the price it leaves just as good of a result as a mystic tan if you do it right. Gives you a hint of bronzer color at first but you aren't orange. Then turns into a nice natural tan. It is messy and you do have to get the hang of it... mostly having the can at least 12 inches a way from you as you spray. I love it and it's my new summer must have.

I have tried so many different self-tanners, and I've never found one that was perfect. I really believe that the ModelCo Tan in a Can is the closest I've gotten. I bought it at a discount store so the price wasn't too bad, about $13 or so. Now on to the good stuff.

This stuff is MESSY. Don't even dream of using it anywhere but the shower. It will cover everything in a dark brown mist. It dries super fast, so I do it in sections: each of my legs, my torso and decolletage, and then my arms. I do NOT just spray it on and leave it. I really don't think of this as an appropriate airbrush tan; to me, it seems necessary to rub it in. It sprays out super blotchy. So I spray it on and rub it in fast. I wash my hands in between each section of my body. I use Neutrogena MicroMist on my back because it sprays out finer.

ModelCo Tan in a Can has a bronzer in it, so it instantly turns your skin brown. It doesn't stink at all, except after a few hours, it starts to smell self-tanny. I leave it on for at least 6 hours then wash it off. It's actually kind of light compared to how dark the bronzer is in it, so I usually do it 2 days in a row.

The tan underneath the bronzer is very even and streak-free. It lasts a really long time, and fades better than any other self-tan I've ever used. I love this stuff so much. If you can deal with the messy application, it's so wonderful. I've already bought another can as backup.

I found this on discount at TJ Maxx and picked up a couple of bottles based on good word of mouth. I've been using the Sephora Instant Bronzing Mist lately, which does a fine job, but tends to be less brown and more stinky. The Sephora is somehow less messy, or I should say it doesn't make such a widespread mess. I also spray this on in the shower with the curtain closed then hop out and run the water all over everything to clean up. While this has a more natural brown finish, it freaked me out at first because it was VERY easy to spray a big dark blotch on even if I was trying to keep the nozzle moving. Luckily, the blotches didn't dry darker. The next morning after my shower, I was pretty evenly tanned. I'd say the end results are more natural than the Sephora, and since the smell is nicer, I'll repurchase when I can. It is messier and doesn't go on as fine, but for the relatively natural color, I'll put up with all that.

so I ended up findind this product at a discount store which i dont want to mention in fear the stock will be gone when i go back lol, but i got this product for just 12.99 as well as the all over shimmer spray which enhances the tan and makes you super shimmery! i love it! im a shimmer fanatic. anyways, the tanning product is great, smells fine!! my bf also hates hates the smell of my tanning lotions. im very pale, and this gave me a super natural medium brown color all over. it didnt splocth on my face which usually happens with other tanning lotions due to uneven skin tone/ oil zones, so im excited about that! It does in fact get EVERYWHERE. i put a towel down on my bathroom floor and after i was done there was tanning mist everywhere except where the towel was, and everything i owned was covered in mist.. oh well. color pay off was great!!! its a somewhat black/ green dirt color at first but within minutes lookes like a great coffee color! i love it and i would reccommend it to others! im glad i got it so cheap, i had no idea what a deal i was getting!
