Great loose powder that is great even for my dry sensitive skin. I pat on a very light layer on my Tzone and it really helps control any oil that I get. The shade is translucent so it just gives a very natural matte look. I got a huge jar of it at Walmart for $10 so the price is great. The packaging is ok although it tends to get messy but it's expected of loose powder. I think it would be better if the product is in a jar with smaller opening.

HOLY GRAIL ALERT! I have never bought the same loose powder twice because I was always out to find the best one for my oily skin...and this is it!!! I will never buy another brand of loose powder!

I usually walk by the Marcell section because I assumed it was expensive and I didn't have any experience with the company. I stumbled on this at the drugstore and was afraid to look at the price for such a huge jar of powder. To my surprise - it was $14.50 for 2.4 oz...I bought it without even checking the reviews! The last powder I bought was at MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder at 0.28 oz for $29.00 - less than half the size of Marcell Powder for double the price (and I found the MAC powder made me really greasy halfway through the day)! Its really a no brainer here gals!

I accidently picked up the "Medium" one but its translucent so it still works as a setting powder without changing the colour of my foundation, tinted moisturizer, and BB cream. A little goes a long way with this product...I just turn it upside down, tap it lightly with my finger and it gives me the perfect amount.I put a light dusting all over my face with a kubuki or fluffy powder brush, adding a little more on my t zone and I'm done. After all day my skin is slightly oily but nowhere near what it normally is with all the other powders I have tried. I find this product very long lasting which is very hard to find! The jar is going to last me forever since the 0.28 MAC one lasted me for over a year! So the amount you get for the price is reason enough to go out and get this for yourself! I sit this on top of my makeup table for easy access and it looks great there!

The only single downfall of this is how huge the tub is - it's not travel friendly whatsoever and jar takes up a huge chunk of my makeup bag! With that said, I don't travel often so its not a huge deal for me (but it could be for other people). Maybe you can use an empty loose powder jar that is a smaller size and transfer some of the product into it for easy travel. This downfall doesn't deserve a full lipstick to be taken away so I still give it a 5 out of 5!

I will DEFINITELY repurchase for myself, purchase one for my client makeup kit, and highly recommend this to fellow makeup lovers out there!

This product is the Best quality for the prices.

( please excuse my spelling mistake, my first language is french : )

I have dry skin and this product does not cake on me and it does not dry my skin.
It sets my foundation beautifully, controls the shine and looks natural for the entire day.

I put it on with a big brush made for loose powder, I go over the sink and bend my head over the sink, so that the extra powder does not go on my clothes and all over the floor.

In comparison;
Mac powders, loose or pressed, ages me 10 years.
ShiSeiDo translucent loose powder is similar than Marcelle, but every time I purchase the ShiSeiDo powder I then tell myself... why pay 3 times the price for the same results ?

Since it is difficult to control the amount of powder when using it directly from the container through those little holes. I bought a small round plastic container from the Dollarstore, you know like small snacks or vinaigrette's sizes. I transfer some loose powder in it with a spoon.
I found it much easier to use, I dip my brush directly in the container,, and it is also a great size for the purse or for traveling.

When my makeup is done...
eye makeup, mascara and all, I spray on Mac Fix + ,
it instantly makes my makeup look natural and not powdery.

Fix + gives my skin hydration, glow and a flexibility that last all day. I use it now also Before I put on my foundation, I found that this way my makeup doesn't cake on my dry cheeks during the day. I also spray it on makeup brushes to apply wet eye shadows and pigments, it intensifies the colors and make them hold on my lids all day.

I highly recommend that you try the Mac Fix+ .
It is my new fountain of youth in a portable spray !
I simply can't live without it.

Peace, love & creativity : )

Great product! I have been looking for a setting powder for some time. I came across this after extensive research on MUA, several beauty blogs, and Paula Begoun's product review website.

You get quite a lot for your money: 2.4 OZ / 70 g for ~$14CDN. Marcelle now ships to the US, so you don't have to go to Canada to get it anymore! I have this in "Translucent", which is great for my NC20/25 skin. It goes on flawlessly with broad swipes of my giant fan brush (so fun!). I love using it to get rid of extra shine from my daily SPF sunscreen/moisturizer. It makes me look naturally enhanced, as if I'm not wearing anything. A little also goes a long way. Just one tap of the container against my countertop gives me enough to nullify my shine. I expect this will last me for a long time.

This product wears well on my combination/normal skin. It doesn't cake up or ever look chalky, even on my T-zone. However, keep in mind that I tend to use light sweeps of this product.

The packaging is straightforward: cylindrical container with a powder sifter. I just tap the base of the container against my countertop (with the top on) and the perfect amount comes out. I like the simplicity of the packaging. I'm a student so I need my money to stretch. I like how I'm clearly paying for the product and not for the packaging. (Not that the packaging is ugly or anything. It's functional, which is enough for me.)

I wouldn't take this product travelling as the container is quite bulky. I'm not complaining, because I'd rather get more product for my money. If I need to take this on the go, I'll just transfer what I need into a small travel sifter container.

I hope this review helps!

THIS PRODUCT IS A GODSEND. If you are looking for a fairly inexpensive translucent setting powder, then this is for you. It doesn't add any build up like a lot of other powders, so you can still use a full coverage foudation and not look too overdone/cakey. I've tried more expensive loose powders like CoverFX, Dior, Smashbox and Lancome, and this beats them all out! My only compaint is that I wish the packaging was a teensy bit smaller. Marcelle is an awesome line for anyone with sensitivity issues because everything is hypo-allergenic.

i love this product and i would defiantly buy it again. it's super cheap, only about $11. it's translucent, so it goes with almost every skin tone including mine (which is so light i can never find makeup the same tone) i also love this product because i have very dry skin and it doesn't dry my skin out at all. i use this everyday and i would choose it above any other loose powder i have tried. the only downfall to this product is that the holes that the powder come out of are too large, so a lot of powder is in the main top part which i find is really annoying.

This is a great powder!
Since it's translucent it works for all skin tones.
I've seen a noticeable difference in the wear of my foundation if I set it with this powder.
It comes in a HUGE tub (2.4 oz), and it cost around 15$, which is really good considering other brands like L'Oreal ran for 11$ however it had MUCH less product.
I put some foundation to cover my dark circles and I've noticed that the powder lightens up that area even more.
My Covergirl Natureluxe liquid silk foundation lasts a while, however now it's unstoppable with this amazing loose powder.
A little goes a long way! This tub will definitely last you a long time.
My blush used to sort of vanish about halfway through the day, however with the powder it lasts the entire day!

This powder cost about $10 CDN at Shoppers Drug Mart. It comes in a jar full of product. I think this product is inexpensive for the amount that you get. It is finely milled and it has a little pinky color but it is translucent and it difuses the color when applied.

This product looks amazing when applied using fluffy brush. It applies smoothly and does not look cakey at all, and oh yeah, it doesnt smell bad either (not like Covergirl's setting powder that smells like crap). It disappears on my skin right away and it makes my skin looks so soft. I like this better than MAC Prep and Prime powder because its cheaper and it works better. This powder did not break me out, so i will definitely buy this again

This looks great on my skin and just sets everything perfectly. Great value! there's so much product in it like others have mentioned. I use translucent despite having an olive skin tone (think Spanish and Filipina mixed). The only qualm I have is that it is slightly pink and there is no yellow option available. It would be great if they were to develop a powder with a more warm and yellow undertones, because when I use this I can see that it makes me sort of pink (someone mentioned about it having more coverage than a more translucent powder, well they are correct about this). To counteract the pinkness I just swipe on some bronzer and contour which i do anyway so the pinkness isn't such an issue for me, but I imagine that not every single person does what I do.

I love this powder! I have it in translucent, and have been using it for many months now. I got this on a whim from Shopper Drug Mart in Canada because I needed a finishing powder, and it was on sale. I am so glad I found it! This sets my liquid foundation wonderfully and helps my makeup to last all day. I find this always does a wonderful job at evening out my skin tone. The only negative thing about this product is that I find I do tend to lose some of the product every time i try to get some out, but with a loose powder I suppose that is unavoidable. For the price, this product contains a very generous amount of powder!! I would definitely repurchase this if I ever run out, however there is so much product in the tin, I don't know if i ever will!

I have this loose powder both in "Translucent", and "Translucent Medium". Translucent is great for me pretty much year round, but I do switch to Translucent Medium in the summer, since I have it anyways, and it looks good on my slightly tanner skin. This looks natural, keeps any oil at bay for most of the day, although I do touch up with pressed powder or a blot paper after maybe 6-7 hours. But it's great, cheap and doesn't break me out. I apply with my Ecotools powder brush. My only gripe is that when I dropped it on a dumbbell, it cracked, and some fell out. But I will definitely repurchase, if I ever run out.

I have very dry sensitive skin and it is very difficult to find face product that don't make me break out or look dry and patchy. I don't need a whole lot of coverage so I just use this as a foundation after my concealer. It set the concealer really well and evens out my skin tone. It feels really great on and leaves my skin super soft. I am really great that I tried this out and am now addicted to marcelle products. Their pressed powders are great too. I always put this on before putting on bronzer and blush because it keeps the product from sticking to dry spots.

I have shiny skin so I am used to tissuing/powdering my face several times a day. I'm very surprised with this powder as, keeping all things the same, I no longer require frequent touch ups. It seems to hold up from the time I put it on in the morning to sometime in the afternoon, and that's when I touch up again. The result is very natural.

This power comes in a big tub with a sifter and given that very little is needed, it seems like a good value . This is the best powder I have used and when I run out I will buy again.

I wish they had Marcelle here in HK. This is one of my favorite loose powders to set my makeup. It's cheap, it applies well even on my darker skin, and not oily. My problem is that the container is so damn big, I wish it was a little smaller, but then again I guess there would be less product.

Since they don't have Marcelle in HK, I'm trying out the GOSH loose powder. I've only used it once so far and it seems to be a pretty good replacement for this. So yay for me!

Sorry to be a stray on this product. I genuinely disliked it. It applied chalky, then by midday my t-zone is still quite oily and this powder becomes patchy and streaky. It is not finely milled at all and made my skin look very "texturized." I didn't think this powder was at all translucent. It has quite a bit of coverage for a loose powder. I like a dewy look to my face and certainly did not appreciate a loose powder covering the dewy-ness and making my face look matte and dull. A very poor product, imo.

I really like this powder. I haven't found anything remotely close to this kind of translucent powder without being like 30 dollars. I bought mine at shoppers for around $12.99 CAN. It does a great job setting make-up, but even looks good if you are in a rush and just use the powder with some blush. It comes in a giant container, way bigger than you would ever get at make-up counter in a dept. store. It doesn't irritate my acne-prone skin either, which is important. It feels pretty light on and I'd recommend it to others.
I really like the Marcelle products. I have this and the kaolin mask, and want to try out aquarelle once my cleanser is done.

I'm not sure if this has contributed to breakouts. For that reason, I am removing a point.

I've never stuck to any cosmetic product like I have to this powder. Been using this loose powder since I was 14, I am now 30. I have to admit, I haven't tried more expensive ones to compare but I can say that this is by far the best pharmacy-brand out there! It's mattifying, and finely milled....and more importantly does not oxidize like most powders. I use Translucent Medium over my foundation and find it even brightens up my complexion.

This is my first loose powder and I'm very happy with it (I've been using it for a few months now) :D You get a 2.4 oz jar big enough for you to swirl your brush in, for a very reasonable price. The consultant I spoke with after I bought it said its only purpose is to set makeup and take away shine, but I've also found that it evens out and brightens up my skin a little bit while still giving me a natural, matte look. You shouldn't expect too much coverage out of this powder--after all, it's called "translucent". I got my mom to try it, but she's a bit darker-skinned so it wasn't suitable. You could try translucent medium but for her it was too pink for her yellowish Asian skin.
