This is the perfect nude for me. Just enough pink, but not too much. I think it may have been discontinued, but is still available on eBay. I have not found a dupe for it in MAC, that's why I have resorted to eBay :)

TruShines were the only lip product lineup that I EVER liked from CoverGirl, and...of course it just had to be discontinued, right?
Well, out of the 4 that I bought a couple years back, I still to this day, have Petal Shine and Raspberry Shine. Those two were the most flattering on me. In fact, they're still two of the most flattering lipsticks I have in my monstrous lipstick arsenal. Petal is almost down to the nub, and I'm trying to save it for when I REALLY want to wear it. It was my first foray into nude lippies, and the color is exceptionally beautiful. Not too brown-toned, not too pink. It has the perfect touch of pink. Perfect MLBB shade for my ridiculously pale cool-toned skin (NW15 in MAC). The shine and butteriness of these made this lipstick feel so luxurious on the lips (seriously, how many drugstore lippies can do that? Not many). Good pigment, not too sheer, which was surprising, given the formula. Lasting power was average, felt like I had to reapply every 30-45 minutes or so, which isn't a big problem for me (if it's high end lipstick, then yeah, it's a problem). The cap came off very easily, so I was always afraid of carrying this in my purse, because I knew I would find a hot lipstick mess when I opened it. So packaging got a 2. If I could find these gorgeous babies for a good price on eBay, then I'm all for buying backups. In which case, yes, I would repurchase.

I like this lipstick! It is a pink/brown nude that I think suits my skintone really well, I am an NC40 and finding a nude lipstick is really hard.

I like this lipstick because it's so easy to wear...no lipliner, base color first to make it look good or lipgloss. I like how smooth it goes on your lips and it gives you a little bit of sheen. The only downfall is that it doesn't stay on for very long and I have so many nudes that it doesn't stand out with all my other ones which means I rarely reach for this!

I'm usually a gloss girl, but I like this lipstick. I find it hard to find lipsticks that look good on me, but this is a nude pink that is close to the colour of my lips. Doesn't provide a lot of colour, just a natural look with a little sheen. It's a good daily wear lipstick for work purposes.
Edit: raised it a lippy because I realize I reach for this all the time, and it always looks good!

this is a pretty color, a bit less pigmented then i thought it would be though. i was expecting something like NYX but its ok because somedays i like a light lip. the color to me was a neutral pinkish-nude. wouldn't repurchase because its just not the shade i really wanted. suppose to be a MAC BBR dupe

This is a really nice lipstick :] It's pretty much the exact colour of my lips, maybe a bit lighter and browner when layered. I think it's a brown-based nudey pink. It's great for a natural look - it's not extremely shiny like a lipgloss, just a pretty, natural sheen that gets your lips noticed instead of your lipgloss :D I love it, I think its really pretty. I wear it almost every day :]

I'm in LOVE with this lipstick.. it is definitely MLBB! I absolutely love the texture of this lipstick. It's super smooth and moisturizing. I purchased it from Ulta.com and it was less than $3. Definitely will repurchase a billion times!

**EDIT: I believe this is discontinued. Try cherryculture.com

I got this last friday at Rite Aid, for less then $1.50 (I don't remember the exact price but I remember it being less then that. Hence why I picked it up in the first place!) I am in LOVE, it is the perfect nude shade for my lips and I love how it leaves them super glossy. It's definitely perfect for on the go cause you don't have to top it with a gloss. I'm going back for sure to pick up more in this color incase its being discontinued.

I like this color a lot, I have fair skin, so it is great. I do recomend using a liner with it as it is a very pinky nude that could easily wash out someone with more skin tone than I have. If you don't like liner wear a pale gloss over the top. This is a very nice color for those of us with very fair skin. I wouldn't recommend for other skin tones.

I wear alot of covergirl trushine lipsticks. I like the glossy texture and lightness & they look so natural. I'm fair skinned with brown hair & eyes and neutral lipcolors are what i stick to. So far i own petal shine, nude shine, peach shine, lavender shine , blushberry shine, and lilac shine and i love them all!

I have Blushberry Shine and Lavender Shine as well and love them but Petal Shine is not so great. It's very hard and difficult to apply (unlike my other TruShines). Also, the colour doesn't go on evenly and looks as if I should have used a liner. I will use this tube up very slowly but will absolutely not repurchase.

Ehhhhhhh. This had a nice texture, nicer than most other lipsticks I've tried -- definitely more of a gloss. It was kind of pale for me, though, and if I applied it more than very lightly it looked unflatteringly light. It wasn't *bad*, but I was underwhelmed.

I like a slightly paler-than-nude lip gloss, actually, but apparently it works best for me if that color is achieved using the refractive properties of shimmer. That way it masks any lines in my lips and makes them look plump and juicy, instead of settling in.

So I went to MAC last week looking for a true "neutral" shade. I wanted a lipstick just slightly lighter than my lip color that could be a great everyday color or pair nicely with a dark smokey eye. I tried on about 10 lipsticks at MAC and ended up leaving with 2 that I really liked, but weren't the neutral I was looking for. I went into Walgreen's yesterday and saw these babies were on sale for $1.79!!! I picked up Petal Shine on a whim. It is JUST what I was looking for at MAC. It is the color I want but it has enough sheen to it that it doesn't look like concealer on my lips like the MAC lipsticks did. I love it! It's creamy and moisturizing. My only complaint would be that it is really soft and I feel like it might break off and get really messy in the tube.

Overall, so happy my search for the perfect neutral is over!

This lipstick is pretty good for a drugstore brand. I picked Petal Shine because it was recommended under the fair skintone section and thought, why not, I'll try it out. I like the shade, sort of a dark, pinkish mauve color in the tube but when it's on my lips it turns a sheer, pinky-nude color and almost looks like I'm wearing nothing on my lips. I would like a shade with a little more pink undertones, so maybe another shade will satisfy that aspect for me. Overall, I still like the formula. One con is that I find that it dries out a bit too fast for me and I have to reapply it several times throughout the day. Maybe a clear gloss on top would help keep the color on longer, but I have yet to try using one on the lipcolor. Packaging is cool too, the tube shines like a prism and isn't bulky or anything. Definetly will try again in a different shade.

Purchased this on sale at Walgreens, looking for a nice neutral lip color. When I got home and applied it, at first my lips turned a weird pink color, but after a couple minutes they were a pretty neutral pink. This is almost like a lip gloss because my lips look shiny, but not drippy. It leaves my lips feeling moisturized too. Definitely a keeper.

Similar in color to nude shine, but on me gives more of a nude pink color. I really love the texture on my lips.

I picked up this lipstick on a whim, and I am glad that I did. I have been searching for a natural looking lipstick without shimmer or frost that I could put on without a mirror, and this fits the bill. The color is a perfect mix of pink and brown which looks completely natural on me. My only complaint is that it is really soft. I had this in my pocket at work, and it started to melt a little bit. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this lipstick and would purchase again. It's great to see an inexpensive lipstick without tons of shimmer to make up for lack of pigmentation.

Edit 11/0908: Walgreens is clearancing the entire TruShine line. The lipsticks are 50% off. I don't know if this is Walgreens only or if CG is reformulating.
