Generally disappointed and would not buy again. The brush is of good quality and just the right thickness for eyelining but, the product itself is lacking in pigment and results in an uneven application. The colors look really nice in the tube (I got this in Viola and Pianissimo) but is just washed out when put on. It does stay on all day-and even my eye makeup remover had a difficult time getting it out. But these are just okay, for the price, I expected better results.

I have Viola colour and it is beautiful. I have not used liquid liner in years because I could not apply it on properly. It was frustrating. I was very hesitant to try Luminous Eyeliner in Viola, but I could not believe how easy it was to apply it and how long it lasted on my eyelids. No smearing, no fading, just plain fantasic. As for the colour, all of the shades have shimmer in it but it does not look cheap. The shimmer and the colour is not strong, but it is noticeable and the brush liner, line your eyes with a nice fine line and consistent. Viola is more of a purple colour with some brown tone to it. (deep purple) I really love the quality of this liner and how easy it was for me to apply it on. Luminous Eyeliner is perfect to add on top of your other liner to add some more definition or on it's own. I hope there will be more options of colours down the road. I will repurchase this eyeliner, it is totally amazing.

Gorgeous shade of gunmetal in tube, applies as oyster silver with lavender undertones. I tightline with a black then apply this over the lashline. Tired of the tacky colors or purple and silver most HE brands are trying to pass off as trendy, wanted something subtle but still different. This is it. Never looks cheap, actually a very delicate, feminine shade. Not waterproof but wears relatively well, no need to touch up throughout day. The container is soooo small and formula is thin but its nice to not get clumps in my lashes like with MAC and MUFE liquid liners. Love it and would certainly repurchase. Will try Tempo at some point.
Update on Dec 24, 2010: I shelved this during the summer months when I needed more impact but have returned to it full force for the winter when you need something to "enliven" your eyes in the gray of winter. The delicate, shimmery tones work well against my lighter skin now that my winter pale has set in. Just a very pretty, feminine effect. Instead of tightlining with my black I have now been using this to tighline with and it's very lovely. Remains a wonderful purchase I have yet to grow tired of, let alone find something similar/better/less expensive and that says a lot.

One of my (very few) talents in life is being able to apply liquid eyeliner, so I collect them like they're going out of style! I love the definition a sharp, think line right at the base of the lashes gives and since I love Chantecaille, I was excited to try their liners. The color I got is Pianissimo which looks light gray in the tube but has a gorgeous almost iridescent blue/purple quality. This isn't a very dark liner, but is definitely enough to define eye shape and add life to the eyes. I adore the color, but that's where my love affair ends. The real problem is that the formula, even with copious shaking, can be a bit to thin/sheer, and so you don't always get a solid pigmented line. I have to go over the line several times in certain spots to make it truly opaque, otherwise in some areas the skin shows through and the liner looks off. I also wish the brush was even thinner but that's not the dealbreaker, it's the formula. Perhaps the other shades are more pigmented? Too bad because the color is unique and exquisite and the liner does last the whole day.

I have kind of sworn off liquid eyeliners in recent years, but I was swayed by the beautiful gunmetal shade I saw online, so I took the dip. This went on very very similar in color to MAC Lithograph Fluidline which is one of my faves, so I do love the color of this. If you prefer liquid eyeliners over gel, than this is a really nice option. I found that this went on nicely (ans easier than I remember liquid e/l being!) and dried quickly enough that I wasn't blinking this on to my upper lid, even with a reasonably thick line.
